Stephanie Schmahl played the role of Bree on OLTL. This year she has been busy with dance and to keep up to date make sure to like her management’s page on Facebook.
1. What is the most challenging part about auditioning?
Memorizing a long script quickly. Sometimes you’re so nervous and there’s a lot going on and you have to concentrate.
2. How did you prepare your lines for your Planet Earth project?
I just had my parents read the script to me over and over. I would practice my lines until I knew them.
3. What was your favorite thing about filming the scene where Mark Lawson reads Twas the Night Before Christmas to you at the big family Christmas gathering?
Since Twas the Night Before Christmas is my favorite Poem I was so excited to hearMarc Read it. I loved my outfit and hair for that scene. It was funny because in that scene Marc gave Bree a necklace and when he would try to put it on the clasp wouldn’t open and everyone was laughing.
4. What was the coolest thing about playing a big sister?
It was cool playing the big sister. I would play with the girls in the dressing rooms and then I would try and help the mom for the boys.
5. How did you like working with John-Paul Lavoisier?
He was very funny. He would tease me all the time.
6. Were there any times you added your own lines into scenes that weren’t in the script?
Sometimes I would change a word or a line. They never said anything and let me do it.
7. What is the best thing about meeting the fans of the show?
I love meeting the fans of OLTL. They are so great and kind. They always showed up with pictures of me. I even got fan mail which was really cool.
8. Are there any scenes you filmed for OLTL that we never got to see air?
They changed some scenes and deleted some lines, but for the most part they showed everything.
9. What do you think Bree would be doing these days if she was in Llanview?
I think Bree would be in school and hang out with her friends. She would probably be a good big sister. Bree would probably enjoy visiting Aunt Natalie and John and her cousin. Bree would probably hang out with her Grandmother.
10. What have you been up to this year?
I am in fifth grade and I am doing dance and I am in a dance company. I also joined a basketball league. I am having fun with my friends and family.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
