Brooklyn Rae Silzer

Brooklyn Rae Silzer took over the role of Emma Drake on General Hospital in 2011 and it wasn’t long before she started seeing a lot of air time and involvement in various storylines happening on the canvas. Whether it was facing off against Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) or the return of Robin (Kimberly McCullough), Brooklyn was often featured in multiple episodes a month. In 2013 the writers began giving Brooklyn more lead involvement in scenes and she soon found Emma involved in a mini ‘love triangle’ and kid centred scenes. In 2016 she left the role of Emma when her on screen family moved out of town, and that same year, Brooklyn was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for her work on the soap. While her character was living on the opposite coast Brooklyn returned to the show a few episodes a year as the show found ways to write Emma back for a visit whether it be the Nurse’s Ball or a funeral. Brooklyn was last seen in 2023 for Thanksgiving before the role was recast and aged.

Career Highlights
Brooklyn got her start in the industry doing modelling work with General Hospital being her first theatrical booking. She has guest starred on multiple television shows including Criminal Minds: Beyond Boarders, Code Black, and CSI: NY, and was in Sarah Silverman’s film ete Des Pets. Brooklyn has also done numerous commercials and print ads for companies including Disney Junior, Jakks Pacific, Barbie, and Michelin.

Current Updates
After thirteen years as Emma Drake Brooklyn has left acting and the industry all together, spending her teenage years focusing on school and other interests. She is now pursuing a career in nursing.
