2019 – Ryan and Holden Hare

Ryan and Holden Hare have been playing the role of Johnny Abbott since the character was born on the show in 2012. This year they have been seen in a variety of episodes including a wedding and the Halloween show!

1. How did Ryan and Holden react to seeing their Halloween costume for the show this year?
We got the script for the Halloween episode a few weeks in advance so we knew Johnny was going to be a Zombie! Both Ryan and Holden wanted to dress up but it was Holden’s turn to film first so he got to wear the costume and loved it!

2. How long did it take to get ready to go to set that day?
We had to get to CBS early and go to wardrobe where they had Holden put on the costume and then fitted it to his size…they had to sew lots of the material because it started out long and Holden was tripping over it. After they worked on it a bit they brought the costume down to our dressing room where Holden tried it on again to make sure it was just right.

3. What do Ryan and Holden like most about filming scenes with a lot of the actors on set?
Episodes where we have scenes with lots of the actors at one time are always the best because the energy is high, lots of being silly and laughing in between takes.

4. How did the boys enjoy filming the wedding?
The wedding was another fun episode because there were so many people in the scenes!

5. What is their favorite thing to do at the studio when they are not on set?
When we are not on set we love to go up to the 3rd floor and say hi to all the ladies in the Young and The Restless office! If we have a little extra time We also love to walk out the back gate of CBS Studio because it takes you to the Grove LA and we make a quick stop at Dylan’s Candy Shop before heading back to film!

6. What is the best part of getting to film with Sienna Mercuri?
We love our TV Sissy Sienna! The boys and Sienna keep each other entertained in each others dressing rooms before going down to set.

7. How do they like filming with Alex Wilson?
We have had fun filming with Alex! It’s so nice to have another boy our age in the studio while we are there!

8. What is the best part of working on the park set?
Ryan got to film the park scene and had a blast! The park is literally set up on the balcony of CBS so it’s always cool to see how those scenes turn out once they air.

9. What are Ryan and Holden’s favorite scene they have gotten to do this year?
Holdens favorite was the wedding scene and Ryan loved eating Yogurt Parfaits in the park scenes.

10. What else have they been up to this year?
The boys had a blast filming a National AT&T commercial where they used them as twins and both got to be in it together! When they aren’t filming they have kept busy with Baseball, Water Polo and Basketball!
