2019 – Lori and Sevan Andonian

Lori and Sevan Andonain played the role of Scout Cain on General Hospital. This year they have been seen in a series of commercials for Nissan and booked a recurring role playing Maria on the ABC comedy Fresh Off the Boat!

1. How does it get decided who gets to film which scene(s) when Lori and Sevan are working on projects?
Honestly, sometimes its just who is in a good mood that day or minute. Most of the time they both are pretty happy to be on set and start discussing who is going to go first. Funny thing, today we went for an audition and they had a two minute discussion on who should go first and why. It makes my life a lot easier so I have no problem with it.

2. What was their time on set filming their Tostitos commercial like?
It was super fun! The set/location was chaos since they literally had a house party going on with people and music everywhere but the girls did great.

3. How did Lori and Sevan enjoy working with a dog for their Nissan commercial?
They LOVED IT! They have a goldendoodle at home so they are comfortable with the dogs, maybe a little too comfortable. They wanted to pet and hug the dog every minute. The real question, how did the dog enjoy working with them? Lol

4. Is there anything special that was done to get them to laugh a lot when filming the scenes for it?
Tim Peper “pretend dad” was AMAZING!! He literally had them entertained and laughing most of the time. The girls generally are always happy and in a giggly mood, so that totally helped.

5. What was the casting process like for Fresh Off the Boat?
It was a direct booking so we actually just went straight to work. It was very exciting and the girls hit it off with the cast on the first day. They literally act like they have been working on the same set for 20 years every time we have a new project.

6. What has the experience been like so far working on the show?
Great! The cast and crew have been wonderful to work with. Everyone is super kind and welcoming to the girls. Chelsey Crisp who plays their mom on the show is a mother herself and it totally shows. She is so positive and kind. Ray Wise who plays there dad always does a great job making the girls laugh and is so gentle with them. One cast member that girls are totally in love with is Hudson Yang! From the first day welcomed the girls and loves to make them laugh when he can. As a parent, I will say he has to be one of the most humble, respectful young men I have met with such great energy and kindness.

7. How do Lori and Sevan enjoy working with Ray Wise?
They enjoy every minute of it. During the scene where Ray feeds the girls green peas, they were supposed to not like them. Funny thing is they actually loved them, something I didn’t even know. Ray really had to work at making it look like they didn’t like them and we all just kept laughing. Lol

8. What was it been like to film with Chelsey Crisp?
So great. She is such a sweet individual and so patient with the girls. She makes sure they are taking care of on set.

9. Have the girls ever watched their scenes from when they were on GH or when their episodes of Fresh Off The Boat air?
GH not so much since they are so long ago and they really don’t really recognize themselves right away. Now regarding FOTB or any other projects they have been on, they love it! Best part is sometimes they can’t tell who is on the screen and they actually call out their sisters name rather than their own.

10. Is there a favorite moment or scene that the girls got to be part of while on General Hospital?
The scenes with Billy were always amazing to watch. He is not a father in real life but as a parent watching him, he totally could pass for one. So gentle, sweet and patient. He always looked out for the girls well being and made sure I was comfortable on set being that the girls were so young.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would like to add how grateful we are for the opportunities we have had thus far and thankful for the fans and followers for their support. As long as our mom feels we are having fun, we will continue to work as hard as we can to bring the best characters to your screens.
