Christian Ganiere played the role of Parker Jonas on Days of Our Lives. This year he has been busy with a multi episode arc for ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, live theater and more!
1. What was the experience like doing live theater with Frankenstein?
Scary but fun. The other actors were amazing and I learned so much.
2. Were you nervous at all performing in front of a live audience?
Yes. I thought I might throw up or forget my lines but I didn’t. Every performance I did good.
3. How did you enjoy attending the premiere for Wish Man?
Yes. I’ve seen it several times and been to several of the premieres but it is still fun.
4. How did you react when you heard you booked a multiple episode arc for Grey’s Anatomy?
I was like, Whoa, Really?
5. What was the coolest thing about being part of a show for more than one episode?
Uhm… the food. I love the food. But also really getting to know the other actors and crew on the show.
6. How did you prepare for the part?
I studied a lot about autism and different kinds. I watched shows with kids that had autism and tried to see what it would feel like to be one of them. Like Sam from Atypical. That actor is so good at playing Sam!
7. What was your experience like working with Justin Chambers?
He is the best ever! He was always so nice. He knew my name. Always said hi. And when we finished shooting he gave me a bunch of matchbox cars with his information on a card that said it was great to work with me. I was blown away.
8. Did you do anything special to watch your episodes when they aired?
Nope. I just sat with my mom and watched my parts.
9. If you could do any type of project with anyone in the industry what would it be and why?
Robert Downey Jr. Because… well… He’s Robert Downey Jr. I also really love Hugh Jackman. I’d love to do a superhero movie.
10. What else have you been up to this year?
Hockey. And school. We just moved and I am getting ready to film a Christmas movie next month for several weeks. I’ve been working on my craft and having fun. I also started volunteering at a rescue farm and working with the rescue animals there. Pigs, sheep, horses and donkeys.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I love my guinea pigs. We have 8 of them. 4 boys and 4 girls. They are my favorites. I call them my therapy piggies.
