Gabriel Sky has appeared in several episodes of General Hospital. He has worked on Palomino & Swissy and can be seen in the recently released film Seberg. Also you can catch him on today’s episode of General Hospital.

1. What is the best part of auditioning?
I like going to call backs the best because you often get to meet the directors and producers you are going to work with. I actually find it more exciting than the first call.

2. What was your favorite part of shooting with Shandon Youngclaus?
Shandon is an amazing photographer, he specializes in kids headshots and is amazing at it. There is no way you leave his cool studios at the Brewery feeling like you may not have what you ned. He is funny and make you feel comfortable. He is very patient… has tons of fun backgrounds … He has done all of my family’s headshots these past years and we give him a huge thumbs up. 3. How did you like working on your second episode of General Hospital?
OmG,it was so cool! I was excited because I was working on the same day as my sister Jophielle who plays Violet on it. It was a pretty big day on set as they were shooting their holidays scene and there was a lot of kids. The morning scene was very long and my sister fell asleep pretty hard over lunch. When she got woken up for the next scene, she really wasn’t feeling that good so I tried cheering her up and ended up saying her line with her! I can’t really give you more details but It was really cool. After all, the scene I was originally hired for got cut completely, so that really was lucky that things turned out how they did. I like General Hospital and it was even better the second time around with Jophielle. I am not sure they could give her a new lost brother but I wouldn’t mind! It is a soap opera so …you never know! ; )

4. How cool is to think that both you and now your sister have both been on General Hospital? Did you give her any advice?
It is pretty cool! Now we need to get Raphael Luce on there too!( Our big brother) I didn’t give her any advices really because she is doing really good on her own already. This role really got her to learn very fast on how to act and be on set. We are all very proud of her. She seems like she is very comfortable there and she loves everyone there… My dad likes to tell us that his Nana used to watch this show everyday 50 years ago and she would have loved to see us on there! She must be smiling up there!

5. What are some of the differences to working on a set with lots of children compared to more adults?
I don’t find much differences except that with a lot of kids, you make new friends. And with adults, you feel like a grown up… and they treat you more like one too. The scenes with a lot of kids are usually classroom or playground … it’s not always the most exciting.You are often mixed in the middle with nothing special to do… somehow when you do scenes with adults, it often means you have a more important part! That’s my own experience anyway.

6. How did you enjoy filming your Aflac commercial?
It was a lot of fun but I got really sore because I had to play with slime in every scene… pull it, stretch it … by the end of the day, I could barely feel my arms! I really think I got the commercial because I was very very excited to play with slime at the audition since my parents are anti slime at home. I couldn’t stop giggling! Everyone else at the audition showed up with their own special slime and I didn’t have any of my own.

7. Do you get nervous at all doing stunt work? How do you overcome those nerves?
It’s funny that I get stunt work because I am the least stunt in my whole family … both my parents are stunt performers, Cirque du Soleil artists and high-wire walkers… and the only stunts I do are by mistakes… I trip a lot. It makes my mom laugh a lot. Yeah … I am actually not the best stunt kid. My brother Raphael (Luce) is the stunt kid in the family. He does high-fall, gets ejected in the air, fights and everything. My sister Jophielle is also a good acrobat, she has a great hand balancing act with my dad. I try everything because it is our mantra in my family, but it is not my #1 quality! I am much better at acting! Last week, I almost got a very big commercial … it was between me and another kid, and I had to do harness work, so I went to the gym with my mom to train in one, get upside down and feel comfortable… it is always challenging for me to try new things like this, but I try to get over my fears… I never just say NO thank you, although I sometime think it. Sometimes to get surprised that you are more able than you imagined. That being said, most of the stunt work that kids get to do on set is very minimal, so it is usually a lot less dramatic than what my mom gets to do when she doubles kids. She gets the hard hits.

8. If you could give advice to other kids interested in doing stunts what would it be?
Well, if stunts is your calling, I would say go for it and know that you can train as many skills as you can until your old enough to get the real stunt jobs… most likely when you turn 18. You may get a few jobs before then but that involve knowing stunt coordinators and being part of the stunt community. You don’t ever audition for stunt jobs, so it’s a little tricky to get in that circle. So… take gymnastics, kung fu, climbing, parkour, … they sky is the limit! Personally I take gymnastics, dance, some stunt classes, karate and of course acting classes.

9. What was the experience like working on Seberg?
I was very excited to work with a famous actress like Kristen Stewart who plays Jean Seberg. She was very nice. I was playing Jean’s son,Diego. My character had to speak a few French lines, which is one of the reasons I got cast, because I am bilingual. My mom is French and I was born there. We still have our house there, called Mas Pinet; we go there a few months each year. It is an artist retreat, you should check it out IG: @maspinet.

10. Is there anything you can share about your role in the film?
Not really but I learned a lot on that set.It was my first big movie experience and I got a lot of compliments from the actors and director so I felt proud to have done a good job.
On set I discovered a new instrument I had never seen before and I fell in love with it: an old typewriter! I spent all my time between takes typing poems. I made one for Kirsten… ; ) I was also excited because the movie has a famous French actor in it that played my dad, Yvan Atal and the movie will play in France so my Grand’Ma will get to see me there!

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Yes! I was the lead in a short movie last year called Twigs, directed by Elise Kessler. It was a student film, but I was the lead in it and it was a wonderful experience for me. So many lines, so many scenes … If you want to be an actor, those shorts movies are really great to get experience and learn about how everything works on set. The movie was really sweet and felt like it was made for me. It felt like a mix of Peter Pan and Charlie and the chocolate factory. I would like to do more projects like this one. It should be finished very soon. I can’t wait to see it.
