2019 – McColm Cephas Jr

McColm Cephas Jr appeared in several episodes of General Hospital this year as Blaine. He’s been busy appearing in commercials for McDonald’s, Apartments.com and The Boys.

1. How did you get started in the industry?
My mom and dad submitted me for a print job.

What was your first booking?
My first booking was Huggies. I was a Huggies baby.

2. What was your time on set like filming an Amazon Prime commercial for The Boys?
It was fun because I made some really cool friends.

3. What was the most exciting part of filming a McDonald’s commercial?
The most exciting part was getting fresh french fries brought to me and being apart of a commercial for Marvel.

4. How do you enjoy getting to work on General Hospital?
I enjoy GH because it’s family oriented, I feel like I’m with family when I’m on their set.

Do you have a favorite scene you’ve done?
My favorite scene was the career day at our school.

5. What’s your favorite part about working with a lot of kids on set?
My favorite part about working with a lot of kids on set is having the opportunity to make more friends.

6. What was your experience like working on Queen of the South?
It was my first TV show and I had a great time with the cast and crew. They took really great care of me and on my last day they brought an ice cream truck.

7. Do you do anything special to watch your scenes on TV when they air?
My mom and dad had a screening party for my first TV show. Now, I just sit with my mom, dad and sisters to watch it.

8. How different was it to film the documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor? compared to other projects?
It was just me talking into the camera reading a letter a kid wrote Mr. Rogers. Most projects I’m interacting with someone else.

9. Who have been some of your favorite people to work with?
Alice Braga from Queen of the South, Jeff Goldblum and Taika Waititi from my Apartments.com commercial.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on so far?
Apartments.com commercial because I got yo work with an adorable dog named Toby.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I am looking forward to starring my own TV show.
