Jyllina Skye is a young actress and model, her credits include The Neighbors, Fresh Off the Boat and Manson’s Lost Girls. She currently has been busy with short films, music videos, and is also a musician!

1. What was your time on set like filming Prescience?
It was so much fun! I met many different people that were very interesting. I met Linda Gray and she was super nice. She made me feel comfortable with every scene I was with her. At the end of the day my fake brother Alex and I had to pretend to kick the camera, that scene was so much fun. Though I was sad when the day ended it was so exciting to work on this film.

2. Which character that you have played has been your most challenging so far?
My most challenging character was in a short film awhile back, I played a very sick child whose father died. I had to wear a breathing mask with breathing tube up my nose it felt so weird but cool at the same time. It’s so cool because I’ve never done something like this before.

3. What has been one of the funniest things you have gotten to do at an audition recently?
In an audition I don’t remember what it was for but I had to do push-ups, jumping jacks, burpees, sit-ups, and run around the room its was very interesting but so much fun! I got my work out for the day.

4. If you could film a project anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
New York or North Carolina. I would want to film in these places because my grandpa and my grandma Lorraine live in both these places, and I really miss them. I haven’t seen them in a while. I would love to be with them!

5. How cool was it to be part of Maren Morris’s video for the song, “Girl”?
It was so cool! Though I didn’t meet Maren Morris which I was bummed about, it was really cool to film a music video for her. While I was there my mom and I saw Quadruplets, they were all girls and they were so pretty. After I was done filming and what felt like and eternity afterwards, the video came out, I was so honored to be a part of such an inspiring video. The video was about empowering girls that they can do whatever they put their mind to. Maren Morris is such a great singer and I’m feel very special that I got to work on this film with very amazing people.

6. What are some of the differences between filming a music video compared to a film or television show?
I don’t think a music video and a television show has much of a difference except for music. I feel that a music video and a television show have the same filming process. With music videos you do sometimes get to hear the song beforehand and that is pretty amazing. You really fall in love with the song when hearing and acting to it.

7. What is the best part of getting to work with your siblings on projects?
I love my siblings and when I’m doing a film, I barely get to see them. When they’re working with me I am so happy and excited they get to work with me. My siblings are always so fun! I love them so much.

8. How would you say your acting has changed since you started in the business?
I would say its definitely better than what it used to be, I have more experience now and more serious. I started acting when I was five. I take private lessons with coaches and I’d say I’m way more experienced now and I’m proud at how far I have come. I truly love acting and I hope I get to this always and forever.

9. Do you have a favorite project you have gotten to work on this year?
My favorite project that I worked on was The Pastor. When I was working, I met so many nice and amazing people. It was so fun to work on this job. I worked on this project for several weeks and I felt like I had another family. These people treated me with kindness. Taylor Kalupa and Cameron Mckendry and I would always have fun making jokes while on set in between takes. In one scene I ended up in a fake hospital and they makeup lady did really good at making me look sick. I thought I look so cool looking like a zombie.

10. What else have you been up to this year?
I’ve been spending my down time on my music, I’ve been taking piano lessons and continuing with the drums, I really love the drums. I have also been in vocal lessons for the past year as well as continued weekly acting classes.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Thank you Star Kidz for letting me participate in your holiday questions and answers I really enjoy getting to participate each year.
