2019 – Isabella Landau

Isabella Landau plays the role of Young Kate on NBC’s This Is Us. She made her debut in the second episode of the current season, and has more episodes to come for 2020!

1. How did you get started acting?
I started taking an acting class at 3-2-1 acting, and it was fun. I did my slate and said commercials in front of the camera. Then my momma sent off some pictures of me to agents, and we got an audition with Alex, who is now my manager. He sent me on auditions, and the one for This Is Us was only my third audition!

2. What is it like to be a part of the cast of This Is Us?
It’s like being where I want to be.

3. How did you feel when you booked the role?
Good!

4. What is your favorite thing about going to set?
I like having my own trailer. It says “4 year old Kate” on the door, even though I am now 5. I also got a doughnut with a unicorn on it, which was yummy! I like Milo and Mandy and my “brothers.”

5. In between takes what do you do for fun with your TV brothers?
We all go into one of our trailers together and play with toys and iPads.

6. How did you like making a Fisher Price commercial together?
So good! We got to play with lots of toys together.

7. What do you like most about working with Mandy Moore?
Being by her. I like when she picks me up.

8. What is the best part of filming with Milo Ventimiglia?
I like his pretend beard. He is nice to me. I liked playing I Spy with him and Mandy between takes by the pool.

9. Have you gotten to see yourself on TV?
We don’t have a TV at home, but I like to watch my scenes on my mamma’s phone. I also saw a commercial for the show with me and my brothers on my Ipad and that was really cool.

10. Do you have a favorite scene you’ve gotten to do on the show?
Yes, but I can’t tell you because it hasn’t come on the TV yet. I like that one where I get to jump on the bed.
