Star-Kidz

Rowan Smyth has been on Days of Our Lives and this year he has been busy filming Future Man and was recently in an episode of NCIS: New Orleans!

1. Do you remember your very first job? What was it like going to set for the first time?
Yes it was a short film to promote a GI Joe movie. It was a whole new world for me. It opened my eyes to how fun acting is.

2. What was your time on set like filming NCIS: New Orleans?
It was definitely my favorite job so far and I’ve never had more fun working on a project. I spent 10 days in New Orleans filming the episode. There were so many fun days on set and on one of my off days I got to hold a baby alligator.

3. What was it like filming with your onset family and the series regulars?
Everyone was so nice and I made a really strong connection to them. I’m so grateful to have worked on that show.

4. How do you enjoy getting to travel for work?
It’s great because I get to see completely new places.

5. What was your favorite experience of working in New Orleans?
Hanging out with the other cast members and eating beignets.

6. What has been your favorite audition to attend recently?
Honestly I try to forget about auditions when I leave the casting office so then I don’t worry about whether or not I book it.

7.How did you react when you heard you were nomination for best lead actor in the movie I Believe at the International Christian Film Festival?
That was probably the biggest honor I’ve had as an actor.

8. What was the best part of filming A Happening of Monumental Proportions?
Working on the funny scenes because it was such a good comedy.

9. What was the experience like working with Judy Greer?
She was probably one of the best directors I’ve had. I felt like I could really connect with her because she is an actor so it made things much easier.

10. Can you tell us anything about your upcoming episodes of Future Man?
I’m not allowed but I can say it is a very funny show.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I have a couple of cool projects coming out in 2019 and I’m looking forward to seeing them. One that I can talk about is the movie “A Psycho’s Path”. I got to work with MMA fighter Rampage Jackson who was a lot of fun and it is a horror film which is one of my favorite genres.
