2018 – Ava and Grace Scarola

Ava and Grace Scarola play the role of Avery Corinthos on General Hospital. This year they have been busy with more lines on the show and had some great scenes with their co-stars.

1. How do Ava and Grace prepare for their auditions?
We read through the audition piece and then break it down in small sections. It can be a long process so we try to make it as fun as possible. Mom and Dad play games with us to help us remember the lines.

2. Do they prefer auditioning together for a role or do they like to audition separately too?
The girls are really attached so it is always more fun to audition together. Although they have no issue going into an audition room separately.

3. What is a typical work day like at General Hospital?
Our set days on General Hospital usually starts out with us running up and down the halls saying hi to all our old friends. Once we get that out of the way we get down to business. Now that we are starting to get lines we have to do blocking with the cast in our scenes. After we are done with that we head to our room to get dressed and head over to hair/mu. When we are all ready we usually hang out in the green room to practice our lines or play games until we are called onto set. Filming is usually quick for us.

4. Now that they are older do they get to choose who goes on set?
We are currently alternating the twins on shoot days.

5. What was the best part of dressing up and filming the Halloween episode this year?
The costume hands down. The wardrobe department hit it out of the ballpark for the girls this year. The loved the entire look so much that it inspired our family Halloween costumes this year.

6. How did Ava and Grace like filming the scenes when ‘Mike’ took off with ‘Avery’?
The girls had such a fun time with those scenes. The loved the storyline and instantly had a connection with Mike (Max Gail).

7. What was the best part of working with Hayley Erin?
She has always made the girls feel so comfortable on set. She is not only a talented actress but is incredibly good with children. She is a kind soul and will be missed by the girls

8. How do Ava and Grace like working with Max Gail?
Max is AMAZING!! The girls felt comfortable working with him from the beginning and it showed on screen.

9. Is there anyone in the cast they’d like to film with more?
It would be fun to work more closely with the other kids on General Hospital.

10. Do you have a favorite moment/scene the girls have been a part of this year?
The recent scenes dealing with Kiki’s death have been the hardest for the girls, but it has been fun to watch them grow as little actresses.
