Q&A is not to be duplicated elsewhere and claimed as their own. STAR-KIDZ EXCLUSIVES
Rachael and Jessica Slomovitz have been portraying the role of "Jenny Martin" on All My Children for just over a year now. With Jenny being a part of one of the core families on the show, the girls have been involved in some wonderful family scenes as well have seen their character caught up in a custody battle. The girls made their first fan event appearance at this year's All My Children Luncheon where they got to see their co-stars and meet their fans.
1. What has been some of your favorite scenes the girls have filmed?
My favorite scene that the girls filmed was when Krystal and Tad were separated and she came to visit Jenny one night. Jenny was wearing pink pajamas, and Krystal sang her a beautiful lullaby. Jenny actually fell asleep, which was just what the script called for!
2.How did the girls enjoy the luncheon and getting to see the cast members they unfortunately hadn’t seen in awhile?
The girls enjoyed the luncheon, and it was nice to see some of the actors and actresses that they hadn’t seen in a while. They were especially glad to see Alexa.
3.How do the girls like filming with Jill Larson (Opal)?
The girls like filming with Jill Larson, and I think they feel very comfortable with her. She has such a warm and loving way with the children.
4.How do the girls like working with Alexa Gerasimovich (Kathy) on All My Children?
5. Do the girls get to play with the other kids backstage?
The girls love to play with the other children on the set, especially Alexa (their big sister). We always have a smile on our face when we hear that she will be in a scene with the girls. One of the people that the girls will greatly miss is Sister Cunningham. She helped take care of the children backstage, and has spent hours playing with the kids and singing nursery rhymes with them.
6. How did the girls like filming the Tea Party scenes?
The Tea Party scene was one of their favorites. The girls are very familiar with the tea parties because of the various sets they have at home (thanks to grandma).
7. Is there anyone you wish the girls got to work with more?
We would have loved if the girls have had the chance to work with Jesse. When the girls interacted with him off set, they had a great time. Jesse was always very kind to the girls, coming by their dressing room to play.
8. Are any of the cast members able to tell the girls apart?
Kyrstal worked with the girls numerous times and she quickly learned to tell them apart by their personalities.
9. How did the girls enjoy filming the puppet show scenes?
The puppet show scene was the first time that the girls had ever experienced a puppet show. As you could tell by Jenny’s reaction, she was a bit scared, but happy to have her big sister Kathy next to her. Ever since then, the girls have taken an interest in puppets.
10. Were the scenes where "Tad" and "Krystal" were in the divorce and fighting about Jenny harder for the girls to film?
I think the girls were fine with the fighting scene. Although it was a tough scene to film, when it ended, the cast and crew quickly embraced the girls and they were laughing a dancing in no time.
11. Is there anything else you would like to add?
We wish the cast and crew lots of luck in California.
We would like to thank the Slomovitz family for participating in this year's Christmas Q&A Event!
