Zach and Chris Randazzo will be portraying "Joey Jr" on the upcoming season of Big Love. They are not new to the camera however. The boys have a recurring role on ABC's Cougar Town and have shot guest roles on such shows as 90210 and NCIS, as well as campaigns for companies like Crazy 8 and Hanna Andersson.


1.What's it like for the boys working on two shows at once?
Initially, it was very busy. The twins might be on Cougar Town on Tuesday and Big Love on Friday. The filming schedules are so different now, though. So far, there haven’t been any filming conflicts and it has worked out great.

2.What was it like filming Cougar town with all those great Hollywood vets?
A little intimidating.. Coming from a mom who was addicted to Friends, I nearly fell out of my chair when I discovered that the kids were being considered for a new show with Courtney Cox. On set, Ian Gomez and Courtney Cox have been just wonderful to us and the kids.

3.How did the boys enjoy their Crazy 8 Shoot?
The boys have always loved working with Crazy 8. This was their first "big" gig, in that they didn’t audition for it and were hand selected by Gymboree to appear in the ads. The first shoot occurred back in February 09 with only Zach. However, when we showed up at the studio and they saw Chris they booked both of them for all of the subsequent shoots throughout the year. They’ve unfortunately grown out of the newborn size and Crazy 8 is now photographing new models for the "newborn" category, but we all thoroughly enjoyed working with them and look forward to more opportunities with Gymboree in the future.

4.Do the boys ever watch themselves on TV? and if so can they tell who is who?
Each time the shows have aired it has been past their bedtime. I always download their episodes and show them later. I recently showed an episode of Cougar Town to the kids and it was cute to see them light up when they saw Ian Gomez. I don’t think they realize the significance of seeing all of this and to them I’m sure it is quite normal.

5.Was it funny watching your boys play a little girl on tv?
Absolutely. Everyone got a great kick out of it!

6.Have the boys met any of the other kids on the set of big love?
They have not worked with any other children on Big Love. Their scenes have been on location at "Juniper Creek" and have been at the home of Joey and Wanda. However, Chris and Zach are great friends with Ailish and Julia O’Connor (Nell Henrickson) and were play buddies long before Big Love happened for either family.

7.Do the boys have a favorite person to work with on the set of big love?
Both Shawn Doyle and Melora Walters are fabulous! But I have to say, overall, we were very surprised at the way the entire crew and cast have embraced the kids. Everyone is down to earth and completely pleasant.

8. What was the Similac shoot like?
Similac was a great opportunity for Chris and Zach. Initially they were booked for a single editorial-style shoot. They did so well, they were invited back for a second shoot later that week for product advertising.

9. Do the boys film equally or does one get used more than the other?
Zach has had a few more scenes than Chris, but only due to chance. Each of the boys are booked simultaneously for TV and what generally happens is that they will use the most rested or agreeable one first (at that particular moment). Sometimes they film the same scene twice using the second twin. In this case, we are never sure who will actually air. Other times, they are booked a full day for two or more scenes. In this case they will use one for 3 or 4 hours and then use the other for the remaining time.

10. Is there a way to tell the boys apart?
Has any of their cast members been able to tell them apart? The easiest way to tell them apart is to look at their hairline. Zach’s hair grows to the left and Chris’ hair grows to the right. Most people have a hard time telling them apart, unless they spend quite a bit of time with them.
