Brandin Stennis played the role of Charlie Ashby during the 2016 Christmas episodes. This year he has been busy with projects for Nickelodeon, the Food Network, and you may have seen his recent commercials for Hyundai and Build-A-Bear Workshop airing on TV!

1. What was the experience like being a part of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards?

It was so exciting giving out awards to celebrities and athletes on stage. I was able to meet Olympians Michael Phelps and Simone Biles and celebrities and actors, to name a few; Nick Cannon, Odell Beckham, Michael Strahan and Russel Wilson.

2. What was the best part of filming your Build-A-Bear commercial?

I was able to do commercials for many of the Build-A-Bear Workshops, such as, Transformers, Star Wars, My Little Pony, Christmas Holiday, Easter and more. It was fun.

3. How did you enjoy filming your Hyundai commercial?

I loved working on the Hyundai commercial and it was fun working on set with the cast and cars all day. It was nice to portray great father and son bonding with sports and cars.

4. What was the coolest part of filming That’s The Word for Totally TV?

That was a fun set. It was fun working with cool kids and a really funny cast but most of all winning prizes was most fun.

5. How do you like doing voice over work?

I love doing voice over work and was able to portray Zuma from Paw Patrols for a box office preview for Cars 3. I was fun to hear my voice at the movie theater during the movie previews.

6. What was your time on set like at Y&R?

It was Amazing!!! The cast are the nicest people and they treat you like their real family. It’s a special unique experience and one to remember always.

7. How did you enjoy filming with Christel Khalil?

I loved working with her!!! She is so beautiful and so nice and it was a pleasure to be cast as her son on Young and the Restless.

8. What was it like working with Daniel Goddard?

I loved playing his son on the Young and the Restless. I love his accent and he is very funny and kind.

9. How did you feel seeing your episodes air on TV?

I love watching my episodes and commercials air on TV and watching them with my friends and family. It’s fun.

10. What has been your favorite project to work on?

The Young & The Restless was pretty cool.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

In October I recently performed in a live stage theatrical celebrity play with actors, to name a few, Marla Gibbs, Dawnn Lewis, Theresa Ford, Vincent Ward and singers Angie Fisher, and American Idol’s Jacob Lusk, which was written and directed by Don B. Welch called “Lord Don’t Move My Mountain.” You can look for me in Don B. Welch’s next theatrical Christmas play called “I’ll be Home for Christmas” on December 16, 2017 in Los Angeles. I can also be seen in a commercial on FOX TV for “A Christmas Story Live” to air on December 17. 2017. In 2018, I’ll also be co-hosting a kids educational science show. Doing cool science experiments that you can do with your friends.
