Q&A

January Q&A – Sienna Mercuri

Sienna Mercuri plays the role of Katie Abbott Newman on The Young and the Restless. This past year she has also filmed multiple commercials including one for Garanimals!

1. What was Sienna’s time on set like filming her Garanimals commercial?

Well it started off with a good vibe because we got into Sienna’s “first ever trailer” and on the radio was playing the theme song for “The Young and The Restless”- that was comforting. They a had child wrangler on set to entertain the kids with animal balloons, etc. Sienna liked the end of the day too because we got to take a bunch of Garanimal clothes home. The best part was the commercial filmed ten minutes from home!

2. How did you react seeing it for the first time?

When we saw the Garanimals commercial for the first time, we were excited and laughing. We didn’t know if Sienna would be in the final cut so we were very happy. The grandmother Sienna worked with was so nice and funny!

3. What was it like filming the NHTSA commercial?

We had a good experience working on the NHTSA commercial, there was another little boy same age as Sienna she made friends with and then there were many teenaged girls that entertained her and vice versa, oh yeah the craft services was top notch! Plenty of treats!

4. What is the experience like filming the big family gathering episodes on Y&R?

The big family episodes on “The Young and The Restless” are always fun because you get to giggle and play with all of the kids on the show and the adults seem to enjoy it too- amused by all of them.

5. What was the best part of filming the Halloween episode?

The best part of the Halloween episode is of course the real candy on set, seeing all of the cool costumes everyone wears and keeping the costume!!!

6. Does Sienna have a favorite set she likes to work on?

Sienna prefers the “Young and the Restless” – she is always excited to see Ryan and Holden Hare (“Johnny”)

7. How did Sienna enjoy working with Gina?

Gina is super sweet and fun-loving, we hit it up right away with her. She is very personable and attentive to the kids. She is great not to mention gorgeous!

8. What is it like filming with Tristan?

When asked, Sienna said Tristan is great!- she crushed on him when she met him and had fun with the “fort scene” in the family room.

9. What is the best part of working with Alyvia?

What’s not bad working with Aly? She is so sweet to the little kids on the show and always makes a point to say Hello to everyone. She’s humble, kind and jumps in and plays when she can. Just a joy to be around.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Sienna had a great 2017 with four commercials and ten episodes on the “The Young and The Restless” – we are very grateful and blessed with the opportunities we have had. We just found out we will be filming in February again so Cheers! To a great 2018!!!

It’s New Years Eve!

Asher and Brayden McDonell played young Franco in an episode of General Hospital this year. The boys were also seen on Good Day La and Shameless!

1. What was the experience like for Asher and Brayden to appear on Good Day LA?

Asher: I was being crazy. I liked the part when I runned around. The people were not really bad. The clothes were not really bad.
Brayden: I was going up the stairs. I think I liked my clothes. We liked the shirt. I almost dropped on a chair.
Parent: The boys had a good time. They really liked working with their dad. We loved the clothes from Milk and Honey that we got to keep! The boys got a little crazy and went rogue but it turned out being funny on tv. They wanted us to let them do what they wanted!

2. What was their time on set like working on the film White River Tales?

Asher: I didn’t know I was doing that. It looks like I was a real baby.
Brayden: Cool! Stephen just walked away and I just jumped. He told me to play.
Parent: They filmed for 3 days, in the rain and were real troopers. They were so good on set! Stephen Ohl (the director) and the whole crew were so good to the boys. In one scene, they needed Asher to sleep, and he really did fall asleep. Halle Charlton, who played their mom, was really good at keeping the boys entertained between takes.

3. How did the boys enjoy attending the premiere?

Asher: It was so exciting! I liked Everleigh coming!
Brayden: We played again! We eat snacks! I like it!
Parent: They didn’t really know what they were attending until they were there. They loved seeing their picture on the poster for the film. When they saw Ramsay Philips, who played their dad, they were so happy and wanted to take pictures with him on the red carpet. We were all blown away by his performance! They got to go to the front of the theater with the cast, at the end, and they thought that was pretty cool. If you ask them, the highlight of their night was eating all the cookies!

4. What was their shoot for Kids Crafter like?

Asher: It was cool!
Parent: They got to wear some really cute clothes, and play at the park, which was right up their alley!

5. How did the boys enjoy working on Shameless?

Asher: It was good. That guy was so nice. (Steve Howey)
Parent: Asher and Brayden loved cruising around the Warner Brothers lot! They had a great experience on set. The funniest story about that job happened on the first day. Asher had filmed for at least half an hour, playing in a pack and play at the bar, while William H. Macy did his long speech of the scene. They decided to switch out Asher for Brayden so they could get some more camera angles. Auntie was watching Brayden on a monitor with the crew, and during the scene, everyone heard crashing. At first people thought maybe Isidora Goreshter (Svetlana) accidentally dropped glasses behind the bar. Then someone said, “It’s the baby!” Everyone realized that Brayden was throwing Legos at William H. Macy, and the crashing sound was them hitting the floor! Luckily, everyone thought it was really funny! There were lots of great times on that set. Steve Howey, who plays Kevin, was the nicest guy. Watching him act was one of the coolest things ever. We were just so thrilled that the twins got to work with so many amazing actors! Someday, they’ll look back and think that was pretty awesome.

6. How did they enjoy working with Isidora Goreshter?

Asher: I was under the table and hide from her. But I was just playing hide and seek. She was funny.
Parent: She was really nice on set. Having the twins film with her was really special, especially since our whole family has watched Shameless from the beginning. We also ran into her at The Grove, weeks after they had finished filming and she stopped to play with them. It was really fun being a part of the Shameless family, and experiencing a tiny taste of their amazing fan base, many of whom reached out to us via Instagram when we were playing Baby Yevgeny!

7. What is it like to have Asher and Brayden be part of two iconic soap operas?

Beeba (Grandma) has been watching both soaps since she was a teenager, so it was really exciting for her to go to set with them and meet some of the cast. General Hospital was really special because we got to meet more of the cast and they were all really nice.

8. What has their time on set been like at General Hospital?

Asher: It was so fun and I wanted to go back there again and Beeba let me. I wanted to do it again and again and again. I got to say my lines and we liked seeing me on TV.
Parent: Asher loved having his own dressing room. He felt really special. Hair and makeup was really fun for him. After his first time working there, he kept asking to go back. They put his picture up on the wall with all the kids who work on the show, and he was super happy about that!

9. How did Asher enjoy working with Roger Howarth?

He was entertaining Asher by showing him his tattoos and telling him about his kids. He was really great to work with!

10. Is there anything that can be shared about their upcoming project with Derek Hough?

Brayden: I liked Derek! He was me! He was super tall and then I colored there. I went on a stage and I popped out and seed people!
Parent: That was one of the coolest things the twins have done! Derek Hough is not only talented beyond belief, but he is one of the nicest people we have met in the business. The boys absolutely loved him and still talk about him. They want to know when they’re going to see him again! We think the project will air in January, but we are not positive. We will keep people posted via our Instagram page, “McDonellTwins”

It’s New Years Eve!

Everleigh McDonell is related to Asher and Brayden who did an episode of General Hospital. This year she was seen on screen in a Skinnypop Commercial and American Portrait Documentary!

1. How did Everleigh get started in the industry?

Everleigh pretty much came out performing. She was such a good baby, so happy and FUNNY since day one. It seemed like she was made for entertaining, so we got her an agent!

2. What was her first booking?

She did a little Mother’s Day campaign for Olloclip when she was 1 and had so much fun!

3. How did she enjoy filming her music video for Maisy Kay?

Everleigh: It was so fun! I had to wake up really early! Also, I did makeup. I had to go into the forest that was raining. Then, it was super super super duper fun when I saw Shadow, the wolf. I had to look in his eyes. Maisy was singing and looked pretty.

Mom: That ended up being the coolest experience. We really didn’t know what we were in for that day. All we knew as that there would be a wolf involved (with trainers, on a leash, etc.). Everleigh wound up filming a full day, deep in a forest during a rainstorm. KavanTheKid, the director, does amazing, super creative work, and I was so excited for Everleigh to be a part of one of his videos. He was great with her! When they brought the wolf out, we were all a little nervous; everyone except Everleigh! She had no problem walking right up to it, and taking direction so that she didn’t scare it by being upset or loud. It was pretty awesome to watch! Everleigh fell in love with Maisy Kay’s song for the video.

4. What was it like being involved in the American Portrait documentary?

It was great being a part of a collaboration for Sophia Kiapos. Everleigh had a great time making everyone on set laugh, and playing them a song on a nearby guitar!

5. What was Everleigh’s time on set like filming her Skinnypop commercial?

Everleigh: Skinnypop was my favorite! I had to go in a car. It was a lot of time in the car and the mom had to get hungry. She grabbed a bag of popcorn. I had to look at her like a crazy, funny way.

Mom: We are truly grateful to Everleigh’s agent for the Skinnypop experience! It was the first audition her commercial agent sent her on, and she booked it! When she found out, she ran around screaming with excitement. She can make some pretty crazy expressions, and that’s what she had to do for the commercial. She loved working! It was a wonderful first commercial experience, and Mama was really proud at how hard she worked!

6. How did she react seeing it for the first time?

Everleigh: It was so fun seeing me on TV!

Mom: Everleigh had the biggest grin on her face when she saw the commercial for the first time. She still talks about her day filming it all the time!

7. What was the experience like filming her episode of Fresh Off the Boat?

Everleigh: I got to meet new friends! I filmed at night when it was so dark.

Mom: That was really fun for Everleigh because it was a Halloween episode, and Halloween is Everleigh’s favorite holiday. Wardrobe chose a long, fancy gown for her to wear, and she felt so special. Seeing the cast and crew working on a night shoot was really cool. It definitely made her connect the dots between what she sees on tv and how things work behind the scenes. It made her that much more excited to audition and work!

8. What was her time on set like working on Mermaid?

Mermaids was great for experience. Everleigh had worked on two projects with the director before, and was asked back to work on Mermaids. She filmed multiple days, and being one on one with the director for parts of filming really taught her a lot.

9. Who have been some of her favorite people to work with so far?

Everleigh: Noelle! It was super fun with her! We had to say things after Noelle said things and go crazy when they told us to. Noelle dressed up and I said funny things to her. It was hilarious! I can’t wait to see her again and film a TV show with her!

Mom: Everleigh recently shot a pilot for a comedy affiliated with UCB (Upright Citizen’s Brigade) with Noelle Lara. She had a blast and was really pumped up after that experience. When she was asked back to work with Noelle again in February, she had the biggest grin and was really happy! Everleigh truly enjoys comedy, and will be the first to tell you that she loves making people laugh. Meeting Noelle, and seeing her in action, really inspired Everleigh.

10. What has been Everleigh’s favorite project to work on?

Everleigh’s favorite project has been the Skinnypop commercial experience. Although, crazy as it sounds, she really loves auditioning! She is still only 5, and doesn’t see acting as something that has an end goal. She’s gotten really close to booking some really huge things recently, so we can’t wait to see what 2018 holds! When she gets an audition notice, she does the jig and can’t wait to go to L.A. She’s just now differentiating auditions from callbacks from bookings. Meeting new friends at auditions and during work days are an added bonus! Acting itself is her favorite “project” and she makes up scenes, giving Mommy lines all day long haha!

It’s Christmas!

Nicolas Bechtel plays the role of Spencer Cassadine on General Hospital. This year he has been busy working on his Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle which returned for season three with two holiday themed episodes!

1. How did you enjoy working on your current General Hospital storyline?

I LOVE playing Spencer. I am Spencer. I want to play Spencer when I am 25 years old. I love all the opportunities that Frank and the writers give me. It means a lot to know they trust me so much with the material.

2. What was it like working with James Patrick Stuart?

JPS is a cool guy. Off camera he’s really funny and on set he gets serious and intense with an occasional joke to make sure we’re all having fun.

3. Is there anyone in the cast you were especially excited to get to film with again?

I really love working with everyone on that cast. Everyone is special to me in their own way. Like Ryan Paevey and I just hang out and eat. Maurice is always joking around with me. Emme Rylan is always so cute and funny. She knows the things that I am into because she has two boys. Genie is like having a real life Nana on set. It’s a really special cast and I have never seen anything like it anywhere else.

4. How is working on a Disney show different compared to filming for a soap opera?

Working on a Disney show is a complete 180. It’s a single camera show so each shot takes a couple hours. It takes one whole week to tape an episode. GH is an episode a day. People don’t realize how hard daytime actors work. On Disney, I may have 5-10 lines a day and on GH I may have 30 lines in a few scenes and 10 scenes a day. The main difference is the time spent on set. At GH, I may do 7 scenes, go to school and I am done for the day. On SITM, we rarely get out early. I love both of them though.

5. What was it like filming your Hispanic Heritage commercial for Disney and sharing your family’s story?

My Hispanic Heritage commercial was special to me. I was honored that the network wanted me to share my family with the World. I love my family and I want everyone to know them!!! It allowed me to share how proud of my great-grandparents and grandparents that I am. The final result was great, my family was excited and loved it.

6. How did you react when you found out you booked Stuck in the Middle?

Oh man, the process when I auditioned for Lewie was exhausting…and LONG. It took about 2 months. We’d get a call to come back. Then we’d get a call to do a chemistry test with Jenna Ortega. Then a camera test to see what I really look like on camera. Then you wait some more. Finally, when my parents and agent got the word that I had booked Lewie Diaz we left for the Mexican Riviera and celebrated. Plus, it was my Dad’s 40th birthday. It was stressful but at the end it was so great.

7. What is it like filming a show with so many siblings?

Filming with so many siblings is probably what you’d imagine. Loud. Chaotic. Fun. Arguing. We are all very close and really care about each other but just like any siblings we have bad days. It makes me happy to see how real the chemistry looks on screen.

8. What has it been like working with Jenna Ortega again?

Jenna is my girl. Her and I are probably closest. She and I have known each other for a while and we were even roommates when we booked the show. Our moms are close and our dads know each other well. I love Jenna and I respect how hard she works. She does a great job of portraying Harley. She has the longest days and most dialogue and never complains. She is definitely the Most Valuable Diaz…LOL

9. Do you have a favorite episode you did for season two?

My favorite episode from Season 2 was Beast Day. It gave me and Beast the chance to step away from the rest of the Diazes and have our own moment. It brought us closer together and better friends. The episode turned out great.

10. Can you tell us anything about the upcoming season for Stuck in the Middle?

Season 3 is going to be great. It starts of with Stuck at Christmas the Movie and just gets better as the season goes on. It’s been a fun season and I can’t believe it’s already halfway over.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would like to add that I am truly thankful to GH and for a fanbase that is so supportive of Spencer. I look forward to returning to GH whenever my schedule allows me to. I read all the positivity that is sent to me on social media. I am thankful that Frank allows me to come back when I am on hiatus. The writers always come up with crazy, fun material for me and I appreciate every episode that I get to play Spencer. Happy Holidays from my family to YOURS 🙂

I really liked it! It was really nice going home every night and hanging out in my own territory! I got to show everyone from LA how epic NYC is!

2. How did you enjoy working with James Cromwell?

James Cromwell was awesome! Everyone on set called him Jaime, and I really liked his nickname. I felt like it suited him. He was so fun, he would tell us stories about his life growing up!

3. What was it like filming with Jeffrey Vincent Parise?

Jeff was really fun to work with! He was so nice and very cool behind the scenes.

4. Do you have a favorite guest start to film with this season?

All the guest stars were great, I loved working with each and every one of them! One of my favorites has to be James Cromwell. He was so interesting to listen to! He told us what it was like filming “Babe”. He was really cool!

5. How did you prepare for your It’s Fun Being Weird performance?

I prepared by listening to the song over and over again until I memorized it. I showed my family how I would sing it, and made up a dance for it too!

6. What was the experience like filming the Cuba scenes for the season finale?

The actual location in the show was Cuba, but we filmed most of it in NY. Some of the show was filmed in Puerto Rico.

7. If you could film anywhere in the world for the show where would it be?

There are so many places that we can go! I love to travel and see the world! My mom would love to film in Hawaii!

I have to say, the song “It’s Fun Being Weird” has got to be my favorite scene! I had so much fun, and it was such a new experience. I will never forget it.

There are so many people just as pumped as I am about the premiere of Season 3! I love seeing all the new trailers and posters for the show, and all the fans saying how excited they are!

10. Is there anything you can preview for the upcoming season?

Well, Season 3 takes place in Alaska and that leads to all new adventures for The Parkers. There are new twists in Season 3! Make sure to watch!

It’s Christmas!

Eden McCoy plays the role of Josslyn Jacks on General Hospital. This year she has been busy with Josslyn’s own storyline on the soap and a performance at the Nurse’s Ball!

1. Is there anything you can share about your role in The Nerd Possee?

I play a character named Jennie, she is one of three “Jenny’s” that are a mean girl clique at the school. Don’t worry though, the nice kids get their revenge on us in the end! It’s a really great story – you will love it!

2. What was the experience like attending the Daytime Emmy Awards?

It was a magical day and night for sure! Everyone looked so gorgeous, and there were lots of nerves among my castmates that were nominated. I got to sit in the audience with them and also my directors, and when it was announced at the end that GH won best drama we all went CRAZY and ran up to the stage. I’ll never forget it! My whole body was tingling!

3. What was it like attending this year’s General Hospital fan weekend?

Oh wow that is one of my favorite weekends because I get to see in person how much GH means to our viewers! GH has been on for over 50 years and our fans are really knowledgeable about the history of the characters, it makes me feel really good and special to be a part of that. And it’s fun to meet people who are so passionate about what we do on the show and I love hearing their opinions about where they think storylines should go.

4. How did you enjoy singing during this years Nurse’s Ball?

I was terrified beforehand! But it was really fun when the time actually came to perform, and I loved my dress, hair and makeup so I was feeling pretty confident. It was the first time I performed live since I was nine years old and sang in the Los Angeles Opera, so it had been a while!

5. What goes into filming a performance during the Nurse’s Ball?

There is a lot of rehearsal, and the actor will perform the number many times on shoot day (before they actually tape) for the directors, producers and crew so they can get the lighting and blocking on stage right. There also has to be rehearsal and blocking with the other cast members who are in the audience watching the performance, so they know where to look and when to react when the cameras are on them. It’s unbelievable how much thought our incredible directing and producing team put into the Nurse’s Ball, but that’s how it always turns out so epic when we go to film it!

6. How do you enjoy working with Chloe?

Chloe is the most adorable girl – I couldn’t love her more. I am always so happy to see her when we are working on the same day. And she’s an amazingly talented actor – there are BIG things in store for that girl. She’s beautiful inside and out – she has a very big heart.

7. What has the experience been like working with Mo?

That man is a gem – he is everyone’s favorite. I never guessed when I first met him how funny he really is, and the days I get to work with him, even if the scenes are emotional, I always know I’m going to be laughing. He is a brilliant actor and when the cameras start rolling he is intense and professional, but he relaxes between takes and has a great time joking with all of us and the crew. I have learned so much about how to behave on set by watching him with Laura and Chad in our most intense scenes.

8. Is there anything you would like to see happen on the show for Josslyn and Oscar?

It would be fun to have a “teen scene” in Port Charles with more characters (old and new), where we can portray the issues teens face and are important to young people these days in high school, and all the growing pains that go along with that. Our writers are amazing so i know it would be well written, and I think viewers would enjoy watching those stories play out.

9. What has been your favorite scene to film this year for GH?

There was a scene in the summer, I think it aired on June 12, that I flmed with Laura where Josslyn really expressed deep feelings about why she was upset Carly was getting back with Sonny. It was powerful and they spoke about women respecting themselves and each other and learning from their mistakes, and when we were filming it it felt very real. I hope that viewers were able to see that there were very real and complex reasons why Josslyn was angry with Sonny, and it was satisfying as an actor to try and show the real pain Joss was feeling that explained why she had been acting like such a brat towards Sonny all those weeks.

Oh this film is gonna be a hit! I play Georgia. You will see lots of action and seat gripping moments! It’s was the best experience of my acting career this far. Hudson West plays the role of Jake Webber on General Hospital. Outside of the daytime soap you may have seen his appearances on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and TV Land’s Teachers this year!

1. How did you feel when you heard you booked Grey’s Anatomy?

As soon as I heard I booked Grey’s, I was so excited!! I loved the storyline and really wanted to do that show. I was so excited when I got on set and got to meet everyone and work with them.

Justin Chambers was amazing!! He is very nice, he’s a great actor and he was full of compliments for me. Just LOVED working with him.

3. How did you prepare for the emotional part?

When I looked at the script, and saw that my character is upset, I just put myself in that position. I actually can feel what the character is going through. So, I can do emotional roles pretty well.

I love attending the GH Fan Club Weekend!! This was my second time. I love seeing all of the fans, meeting them, taking pictures with them and signing autographed headshots for them. TK and I are best friends in real life so it is awesome to get to work with him. He doesn’t live very close to me so I don’t get to see him that often so when we get to work together, it is really fun!!

7. What is the best part of working with Roger Howarth?

I love working with Roger. He is a great actor and he is always very nice to me. We have great chemistry on set so we have a blast working together.

8. How did you enjoy working with Constance Towers?

Working with Constance was truly an honor. She is a great actress and she was very nice to me. Great to have gotten to work with her.

9. How did you prepare for the Chimera Project storyline?

Frank told me about the storyline and I had to get myself into a dark mysterious place for that role. It was fun!!

10. What has been your favorite scene to film this year?

My favorite scene this year was probably when Franco was moving into our house and I was carrying one of Franco’s boxes and I tripped over some stuffed animals. That was fun. However, I also liked the Chimera project, and the emotional scene with my dad on the park bench. I enjoy working all of my scenes..

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would just like to add that I love working with all of the amazing actors & actresses and all of the behind the scenes people!!! It is an honor to be part of this awesome team! I feel so grateful & blessed to have been given this opportunity.. I feel like General Hospital is my second home!

It’s Christmas!

Isabella and Gianna Garcia play the role of Lizzy Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. The girls have been seen in multiple episodes of the soap this year, and you may have seen them in their recurring role on The Fosters as well!

1. How do Isabella and Gianna enjoy working on The Fosters?

This was the first show the girls were on so I think we all have a special place in our hearts for The Fosters. The girls did well on the show and had a lot of fun filming with the cast. Everyone was great to work with and accommodating.

2. What was their first day on set like?

A little stressful! It was our first time on any set, but our production assistant was AWESOME and put us right at ease. The girls had their own trailer and enjoyed meeting some of the actors they were working with before the filming.

3. What is it like filming with Alexandra Barreto?

Alex is very sweet and a lot of fun to work with. She took the time to hang out with the girls before their scenes together so the girls were very comfortable with her on set.

4. Is there a way to tell the girls apart on screen?

Yes! Gianna has a small bald spot on the left side of her head above her ear. Bella has a small skin tag on the back of her head that you can see in some shots.

5. What is it like to have the girls be a part of an internationally iconic soap opera?

So much Fun!! The cast and staff of The Bold & the Beautiful are fantastic and work really well with the girls. Their set teacher is the best I’ve worked with so far. I got hooked on the show once the girls started.

6. How different is it working in primetime vs. daytime?

I found the Bold & the Beautiful to be more flexible in the filming of scenes. For example, if the girls were fussy or not cooperating they were able to skip ahead and film a different scene to allow the girls to have a break and calm down and then they would try the scene again. I don’t think prime time tv has this kind of advantage in filming the scenes. The good thing is the girls are identical twins so usually one of them was ready to work on set and were in a good mood.

7. What has been the best part of working with Karla?

Karla is very sweet, kind and very approachable in person. Her calm demeanor made it easy for the girls to connect with her on set.

8. What has the experience been like filming with Jacob?

You can tell Jacob has his own kids. He knows how to make the girls laugh and have a lot of fun on set. The girls love giving him high fives. Both Karla and Jacob would hang out with the girls before their scenes together and would play with them which really helped the girls feel safe and secure on set.

9. Is there anyone in the cast you hope Isabella and Gianna get to film with?

It would be fun to have a scene with John McCook since he is iconic on the show. Fingers crossed for the future.

10. Do you have a favorite scene they have filmed this year for the soap?

The girls had a really special connection with Reign. They were buddies and Reign spent a lot of her free time in the girls dressing room and they would have dance parties. Our scenes with her are my favorite.

It’s Christmas!

Ryan and Holden Hare play the role of Johnny Abbot on The Young and the Restless. This year they have been seen in multiple episodes of the soap and did a commercial for Hyundai!

1. What was the experience like filming a commercial for Hyundai?

The boys had a blast filming this commercial! They were given big monster trucks and had to crash them together over and over again but their favorite part was filming the scene where they pulled each other in the cooler! The directors must have had them do it 50 times in a row and they giggled and screamed every time! They put their hands up in the air like they were on a roller coaster!

2. What was it like seeing it air for the first time?

We all laughed when we saw it for the first time it’s a funny commercial!

3. Do Ryan and Holden get to watch their Y&R scenes on TV?

They actually don’t ever ask to see them when they air but if they happen to walk in the room when mommy or daddy is watching their scenes they stop and say “hey that’s me!” Or “I remember doing that scene!”

4. How did the boys prepare for filming the episode where Johnny is afraid to go to school?

We had to talk to the boys ahead of time and tell them they needed to pretend to feel sad because in real life they were also just a few weeks away from starting kindergarten and were actually super excited! So we decided to have them Both rehearse the scenes and Holden was better at keeping a straight face…Ryan kept giggling every time he had to say “NO I don’t want to go!” So he didn’t get used that episode!

5. How did Ryan and Holden enjoy working with Gina?

Ryan did the scenes with Gina and she is so sweet and good with the kids and of course he had a great time because the scenes with her involved playing games on an iPad!

6. What has been the best part of filming with Tristan?

The boys think Tristan is pretty cool and like having a pretend Brother! Holden loved the scene with him in a blanket fort with flash lights and telling stories!

7. As the boys have been on the show since they were infants, how has their relationship developed working with Amelia?

Amelia is so special! She has been their TV Mommy since they were 7 weeks old and they are almost 6!! The story lines have had the boys filming more with their TV dad this year but Even on days we don’t have scenes with Amelia they insist on finding her and giving big hugs before we go! They still call CBS Studios “Ameila’s house” because up until recently they thought she actually lived there!

8. Is there anyone new to the show that you hope the boys will get to film with?

Not new but hoping this year we get more scenes with Victoria/Billy their TV Mom and Dad!

9. What was the best part of working on this year’s Halloween episode?

As we were walking to the car that day Ryan said “that was the best day ever!” They loved their dragon costumes, had so much fun with their TV Sissy Sienna and got to eat lots and lots of candy!!

10. What has been Ryan and Holden’s favorite scene to film this year?

Holden loved the pool scene he did with Jason And Missy (Billy/Chelsea) to make it look like Johnny and Billy had just gotten out of the pool the hair and make up crew used warm spray bottles of water and sprayed them down from head to toe! If they started to dry off they would get sprayed again and Holden thought he was such a big boy to get to do that with Jason!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Holden and Ryan wish everyone a very happy and healthy holiday season and look forward to the year to come!!

It’s Christmas!

Scarlett Fernandez plays the role of Charlotte Cassadine on General Hospital. This year she has also been seen in episodes of Jane the Virgin, Lethal Weapon, and a commercial for Best Buy!

1. What was your time on set like filming for Jane the Virgin?

It was super fun because it was my first time filming on location at a beach. Everyone was really nice…the kids, the adult actors and the crew.

2. How did you come up with the idea to send American Girl dolls and accessories to kids affected by the hurricanes?

I didn’t really come up with the idea on my own. When my sister was my age, there was a tornado in Missouri. She had just bought a new doll with her own money, and when she heard about kids who no longer had toys, she sent her doll. So, when we heard about the hurricanes, we came up with the idea together as a family to do the same thing. I could not believe how generous everyone was. My friends, family, and fans really came together to help.

3. What do you enjoy most about working at GH?

I really like the fact that everyone is super nice.

4. What is the best part of filming with Emme?

Emme is really funny. She acts like a kid a lot and I really like that.

5. How do you like working with James?

James is always really sweet to me. Ever since we started working together, he gives me little tips to make me a better actor.

6. What is it like to work with Michelle?

Michelle is so nice. I love how much Nina loves Charlotte and always takes care of her. I feel like Michelle is always watching out for me too.

7. How did you enjoy working with Brooklyn and Hudson for the Nurse’s Ball?

I LOVE working with Brooklyn and Hudson. They made long days of shooting really fun. I really liked the storyline and wish Charlotte, Emma and Jake hung out more in Port Charles.

8. What was the experience like attending your first GH Fan Club Weekend?

My first GH Fan Club weekend was extra special because the first day was my birthday. When I walked in, everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, and during the evening I got gifts, cupcakes and balloons. It was REALLY fun meeting so many people that love General Hospital and like Charlotte.

9. What was your favorite General Hospital scene to film this past year?

I have a few favorites, but I really like any of the ones that involve Charlotte with other kids like Rocco, Emma, Jake, Spencer, Josslyn and Bailey.

10. Can you tell us anything about your upcoming film Silver Lake?

I can tell you that my character has the same name in Silver Lake as General Hospital. #scarletischarlotte

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I’ve been really busy this year, but when I’m not working, I love doing gymnastics and going to Disneyland.

It’s Christmas!

Mia and Ella Allan played the role of Nora Braverman on Parenthood. This past year they filmed the pilot for Raised By Wolves and you may have seen them playing Anna and Elsa on the CW series Jane the Virgin!

1. What was the experience like working on Raised By Wolves?

First off we were so excited to be working with “Papa Zeek’ (Craig Nelson) as out Grandpa again on a new show. Wolves was a different experience than we have ever had. Simply put everyone just clicked from the beginning, There was just a sense of family in the atmosphere, from the top all the way through, everyone was just comfortable with each other we were all having fun.

2. What was it like working with a big cast of kids?

Our favorite part by far, there was such an array of talent amongst these kids, (us being the youngest) it was like being on set with good friends but still looking at them as mentors. It set a light tone for the day because there was always silly banter and shenanigans.

3. What was the last day on set like for Parenthood?

Devastating, and extremely difficult, most cast and crew were either crying or holding back the tears in between takes. We knew it was coming but saying goodbye the family we had basically spent the last 3 years with, while still honoring Zeek’s memory with a Braverman family game of baseball was a tear in two directions.

4. Do you have a favorite scene Mia and Ella did in the last season?

Its hard to pick a favorite, I love the scenes they did with Johnny Messner (Chuck) he’s a father of twins himself and seeing the chemistry with those 3 is electric because its real.

5. What has the experience been like working on Jane the Virgin so far?

We have a unique experience working as twins. I love that each other them have their own character and its been great watching them kind of come into themselves by having to rise to the occasion as individuals.

6. Do Mia and Ella choose which twin they get to play?

In Jane Mia is scripted as Anna and Ella is scripted as Ellie. Funny enough when frozen came out Mia liked Anna and Ella like Elsa. But if they switched I really don’t think anyone would notice 😉

7. What is the best part of filming with Gina Rodriguez?

Gina is a really strong, wonderful, talented, actress and person. We love having an influence like her around, she is so driven, professional and takes her craft seriously, but has also mastered how to let her fun loving personality be the focal point of what she brings to the table on and off camera.

8. How do the girls enjoy working with Yael Grobglas?

I mean c’mon, she’s our Mom for goodness sakes lol. Yale is a riot, she sets the tone for laughter (even though contrary to her character Petra). She always makes it a point in between takes to play a game, help with lines, snuggle let us terrorize her and climb all over her lol Yael has such great natural maternal instincts she is really attentive to us, and intentional with the time she spends with us, it really is like she took us on as our own. She is a great friend and example to us. Ill never forget the advice that she gave us, study your lines know them and be confident in them and yourself, so when you come on set you can have fun, and spend time with your friends and enjoy the experience and not stressing over your lines of how to act them, take this time and enjoy being here take it all in, if you are stressed and look at it as a job then all it is, is a paycheck, if that’s what it is or becomes you will be miserable and that’s not with this is about.

9. What is one of the funniest things to happen on set for one of Mia and Ella’s scenes?

I don’t really know, they are always up to something lol They are always doing something that is making people laugh.

10. What has been Mia and Ella’s favorite scene to film so far?

Honestly they enjoy all of it, I don’t think there is a favorite.

It’s Christmas!

Jude and Ozzy McGuigan play the role of Christian on The Young and The Restless. This year they have been busy working on the soap.

1. How did Jude and Ozzy enjoy dressing up for the Halloween episode?

It was a little tricky to get them into the costumes but then they liked running around with Gunner and Ryder and yelling “I robot! I bad guy!” Plus, there was a lot of candy on set that day, that is always a nice treat for them.

2. How do you pass time with the boys between scenes

I always bring another adult and we tend to keep the boys separated once the “work” time starts. The working twin has quiet activities like books or a puzzle, or we take a walk around the sets and look at the new scenery. The waiting twin I usually keep active- walking or running the long hallway outside the sets or even a little walk outside. That way if we have to switch, the one that’s been waiting is (hopefully!) ready to sit still and quiet for taping.

3. What is a typical work day like at the studio for them?

If things are running right on schedule then I just get one (or both) of them dressed and ready. If there’s time before their scenes they love to visit the school room and play a bit in there (especially if it’s a day Aly is on set!). If it’s going to be awhile before they tape I like to take them outside in the fresh air and then get into costume closer to their scene. They’re two, so even with double the wardrobe I tend to wait, because they really are great at getting messy. The stage manager comes up when they are one scene away and we go down for rehearsal. Then they tape, rehearse, tape, etc. I always bring way more food and snacks just in case I need to keep them occupied. If there are other kids working that day we all kind of hang out together.

4. Are any of the cast able to tell the boys apart?

Yes, Joshua can definitely tell them apart. Their personalities are pretty different! The crew can usually tell too.

5. Have they ever been recognized in public for being on Y&R?

Not yet!

6. How do the boys enjoy working with Ryder and Gunner Gadbois?

They look up to them- Jude especially is fascinated by older boys and trying to get in on whatever action they have going. We’ve been working the same days with them a lot- they’re a great family.

7. What is it like filming with Joshua Morrow?

He’s like the toddler whisperer. He’s got a very easy, natural way of being that all the kids respond to. Ozzy in particular is very fond of him, and no matter how fussy he has been throughout the day, once we get to set, I know I can pass him off to Joshua and he’ll turn into the chillest kid. Both the twins love him.

8. What is the best part of working with Melissa Claire Egan?

She is so great with kids, so kind, and warm. Even when she is primarily holding “Connor” she has an intuitive way of bringing the boys together. She makes them look like a family.

9. Is there anyone in the cast they haven’t gotten to work with yet that you’d like to see them film with?

I love when they work with Christian’s extended family- Melissa Ordway and Amelia Heinle have been so incredibly nice. And I wouldn’t mind working with Sharon again- the twins really connected to her.

10. Do you have a favorite episode Jude and Ozzy have done this year?

This year has been much quieter than last year- more sweet family scenes, not so much drama. But it’s always a fun day on set.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

We just feel incredibly lucky to be a part of the Y&R family. We couldn’t ask for a better cast, crew, or fans!

It’s Christmas!

TK Weaver plays the role of Danny Morgan on General Hospital. This year he has also been seen in a commercial for Subaru, did a live taping of A Little Advice, and more!

1. What was the experience like doing a live taping of A Little Advice?

SO FUN!! I loved doing the live show. There are no lines and you never know what is going to be asked. I’d love to do it again.

2. What was your time on set like filming your Subaru commercial?

A lot of work and a lot of fun. I had to climb up and down those stairs with heavy loads all day. It was 3 or 4 days of shooting total. The best part was Moe. He was an awesome puppy.

3. How did you react seeing it on TV for the first time?

I didn’t see it for a long time but I was super excited when I finally did. I saw it at a restaurant that had TV’s everywhere. Those are my favorite restaurants because I love watching sports.

4. What is your favorite thing about filming at General Hospital?

The people. The other kids on the show. It’s a lot of fun every day that I’m there. I’d like to be there more often. I really enjoy being Danny.

5. How did you like working with Lori and Sevan?

They left me speechless. I forgot my line!! They were so sweet and cute.

6. How much fun is it working with Hudson as your big brother?

Oh it’s the best!! He is my best friend in real life too. He’s like a real big brother. We met at the wedding and we just hit it off. I love him.

7. First I’d like to say you are a good little actor and so adorable! What’s it like working with Steve Burton and having him as a TV Dad?

OMG it is amazing working with all the GH actors and actresses. They are all such good role models and acting coaches. They are all so professional. I look up to Steve, Billy, Chad… They are all amazing. I’m so lucky to work with all of them.

8. What do you do to pass the time at the studio between filming?

I have to do a few hours of school. I usually bring a football to toss around if we have some extra time to kill. Every day is different. If there are other kids on set we will sometimes hang out and play games.

9. If you could pick one thing for GH to write for Danny next year what would it be?

Oh I don’t know!! I’d love a storyline but I leave all that up to the writers. They know what they are doing and they have always been good to me. They really get to know the character and actor. If they have a story in mind for me, I know it will rock!

10. Do you have a favorite episode you’ve done this year?

My favorite episode was when Jake and Danny sing to their daddy at the hospital. I actually climbed up on the bed early out of instinct. It hard for me not to do what just feels right and natural. Frank was directing and left it in. They are really good about letting me be Danny naturally. It’s like we are the same person.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Just that I love all the fans and support that I get from cast, crew and fans everywhere. I’m blessed and I thank you all.

Cara and Sienna Gwartz played the role of Holly Jonas on Days of Our Lives. In addition to the soap you have likely seen the girls in one of their other recurring roles on Jane the Virgin, 2 Broke Girls, and Ray Donovan!

1. How did you feel when the girls booked Ray Donovan?

We were so excited that we immediately started watching the show from the beginning. By the time we got to the current season that the girls were on, we were so into the show we nearly forgot the reason we started watching in the first place.

2. What was their experience like working with Dash Mihok?

Couldn’t be better! He has two daughters of his own so he’s a natural and such a nice guy.

3. What was the best part of working on 2 Broke Girls?

The actors, actresses, and the entire crew were absolutely incredible!

4. How did Cara and Sienna enjoy filming with Jennifer Coolidge?

The experience was terrific! She is hilarious and oh so talented.

5. What was it like to have Cara and Sienna recur on a soap opera compared to a primetime series?

The girls got a lot of exposure on the daytime shows between promo videos and on screen time which was a lot of fun.

6. What was their first day on set like for Days?

They filmed a birthing scene! Very fitting for their first day of work.

7. How did they enjoy filming with Ari?

She’s incredible! She was so excited to finally have a baby of her own on the show and was absolutely the sweetest to work with.

8. How did the girls like working with Nadia?

We couldn’t have asked for better on our first show! Nadia has a baby around their same age so she was always looking out for the girls and she is so nice as well!

9. Is there a way to tell Cara and Sienna apart on screen?

Not really… Even we have a hard time telling who is who on screen from time to time, but their personalities are very different. For some reason Sienna does really well with the more serious dramatic shows like Ray Donovan and Grey’s Anatomy, and Cara’s personality really shines on the comedy shows like Two Broke Girls.

10. Do you have a favorite scene that they filmed for the soap?

Anything with Ari!

Tate Berney played the role of AJ Chandler on All My Children. This year he has been seen on Young Sheldon, and in commercials for Jeep and Orkin!

1. What was your time on set like working on your Jeep commercial?

The jeep commercial was really cool. First off because I got to work by my house so I didn’t have to drive far! It was a night shoot so it was quick and easy! All I had to do was go on my cell phone which I do all the time anyways! And the guy who played my dad was super chill!

2. What was the best part of filming your episode of Henry Danger?

I didn’t really know what to expect when I started the show because I had never worked on a Nick or Disney show before. I was there all week long. We rehearsed a lot throughout the week before we filmed. It was a fun and easy job because all I had to do was play dodgeball on a trampoline and Im good at doing both ha! I met some really fun people on that shoot!

3. How did you enjoy filming your role in your Hyperlinked episode?

Hyperlinked was different than most other shows I have worked on. It is a new media project so it is run a little differently. Everyone was nice and it was fun going to the premier and seeing the show!

4. Are there any differences in filming a Disney online series compared to a TV show?

Yes, like I mentioned above with these shows its an all week long process of rehearsals, dress rehearsals, doing schooling every day and then actually doing the filming.

5. How did you prepare your log rolling scene for your Orkin commercial?

I was so happy when I booked that job because I like doing things that are challenging. And it was definitely challenging! We had auditions, callbacks and then a 2nd callback where we had to be hooked up to harnesses to show the director how we could handle the log rolling. It was between me and my fake sister and another boy and his fake sister. We ultimately got the job! The day before we filmed they had us come for a rehearsal day so we could practice in the freezing cold pool. It was November, thats why it was cold! They custom made the apparatus that we were standing on and had to continually adjust everything till it fit our bodies perfectly. It was a lot of work rolling and rolling all day long. Super tiring but it turned out to be an awesome commercial! Oh and I lucked out on that one too, that one filmed right by my house too! So it made the 5:30am call time much easier!

6. What was it like to have two commercials airing around the same time on TV?

I loved it. I had never had that before. I had friends telling me that they were watching tv and they saw one commercial and then right after saw the other one. I thought that was cool!

7. What was your time on set like filming Young Sheldon?

I was stoked to book Young Sheldon. Its such a great show and will be a hit for a long time! Grateful I got to be a part of it. Everyone on the cast and crew were really nice!

8. Did you get a chance to work with Iain Armitage?

Yes he was there when I was on set. He was nice. I hung out more with my other co-star and Jordan Montana though.

9. Do you have a favorite costume you shot for Palamon Costumes?

I liked them all actually. I probably liked the Morph Suit the best. No real reason though.

10. What else have you been up to this year?

Well I started my first year of high school! I just finished up my freshman football season and just started on the freshman baseball team. I’m having a great time and super grateful I am able to somehow make it all work out so I can do it all!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and an amazing New Year!

Jeremy Maguire played Young Morgan in an episode of General Hospital. This year he has been seen in a GE Appliances commercial and you may recognize him as Joe on Modern Family!

1. What was your time on set like filming for General Hospital?

It went by so fast. The cast and crew are very good at what they do. Everyone is really nice.

2. How did you enjoy filming your GE Appliances commercial?

I had fun shooting that commercial. They had me do a bunch of silly things. Take the lipstick then draw on my face and run around the kitchen like a crazy kid. I never know what the commercial will be like until I see it on TV.

3. What was the audition process like for Modern Family?

There were four auditions over three weeks. Then I got to do a screen test with Ed O’Neill. The test was on a Wednesday or Thursday. Then we started work on Monday. I was able to wear my cape during the screen test. Everyone was very friendly from the start. During the audition, they had me do kid things like throwing blocks and running.

4. How did you react when you booked the show?

My mom told me that they picked me. I was so excited to work with such nice people!

5. What was your first day on set like?

The cast and crew on Modern Family are so cool. Everyone is really nice. My 4th Birthday was during my first month on set. They had a cake and sang happy birthday to me.

6. How do you prepare your lines for the show?

I’m learning to read but, my mom reads them to me and tells me what the scene is about. We practice the lines and then I memorize them.

7. What has the experience been like working with Ed?

Ed will always take the time to practice with me between takes on set and he gives me good advice on facial expression and timing. He will even act my line out for me at times if I’m having difficulty. I love working with him.

8. What is the best part of filming with Sofia?

Sofia is so funny! We like to tease each other between takes. Also, she is very sweet and gives the best hugs.

9. What has been your favorite episode to film so far?

The season 9 premiere episode was my favorite to shoot. I got to film in Tahoe. It was so beautiful! There is so much to do there. It was a like a vacation with 150 of your best friends. I can’t wait to go back.

10. Is there anything you can tell us about what’s coming up later in the season for Joe?

Joe is turning 6 this season. We will definitely get to see more of his character. He is becoming a bigger part of the story. He gets mad, he falls in love, he hangs from trees…normal 6 year old stuff. It’s my favorite season so far.

Always fun! He has a really cool accent that I didn’t know because on the show he doesn’t! He always made me laugh and I loved being able to spend time with him during our scenes especially the Aloha Girl cookie scenes.

10. Do you have a favorite episode you got to do during your time on Hawaii 5-0?

It would have to be my very first episode. It was such a big and exciting and crazy episode! It is when the show met Sara and learned she was Chins Niece! Plus I got to fly to Hawaii for the first time and stay for 8 days!

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I am so grateful for such an exciting year! Thank you for all of your support and all of your kind words- my Mom let’s me know!

1 Day ‘Til Christmas!

Lori and Sevan Andonian played the role of Scout Morgan on General Hospital. The girls also filmed the pilot for Distefano, and have been busy working on multiple projects.

1. How did the girls get started in the business?

By chance! A friend suggested I send in pictures of the girls (7 weeks at the time) for an Instagram identical twin post. Waited over a week before I followed up but was lucky enough to get a response.

2. Do you remember what their first audition experience was like?

It was actually GH and I was clueless and confused but turned out great.

3. What was the experience like filming the Distefano pilot?

This was a great experience. We are on set 4 days straight we met some really amazing people. There were many seasoned actors on set who gave me some amazing stories they had with babies. I also think it was great because Lori and Sevan were a little older at this point and were responding to everyone with cute faces.

4. What was their first day on set of General Hospital like?

Great! For being my first ever experience on set I felt comfortable. Frank was amazing with his introduction and made me feel comfortable right away. The girls were so calm during the scene and so was I. I think we are truly fortunate that GH was our first job, great way to be introduced to the industry.

5. Is there a way to tell the girls apart on screen?

Sevan is a little more full in the face but at times I actually have trouble myself. We have a rule for the most part, Lori on the left and Sevan on the right. Dad and I always are concerned we aren’t going to know when they are older and look back at pictures.

6. How did Lori and Sevan enjoy working with Kelly Monaco?

I think they did great. Kelly did a great job with the girls and being patient.

7. What was the best part of filming with Billy Miller?

He had a natural touch with the girls. They loved being in his arms!!

8. How did Lori and Sevan like working with TK?

They didn’t get to much screen time with him but I am sure if they had stayed on they would become best buds. Such a sweet boy.

9. Do you have a favorite scene the girls got to film?

I think the last project they worked on. They had the opportunity to work with the talented Sarah Bolger, who honestly felt like family by the end of their job. I think it was also the fact the girls are more interactive now and respond to people and their scenes a bit.

10. Is there anything you can share about the project they were filming at the end of October?

It was super fun, far away and they worked with some very amazing talented individuals. Can’t wait to see it come to laugh. Stayed tuned and we will post details as soon as we are allowed to on Instagram and Twitter.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would like to add how fortunate the girls were on landing the job on GH and other opportunities. So far they are enjoying their experiences and look forward to many more characters to play.

1 Day ‘Til Christmas!

Tyree Brown played the role of Jabbar Trussell on Parenthood. This year he has been seen in Camp Cool Kids and been working on the film One Nation Under God!

1. How different is it to audition in the San Francisco market vs. Los Angeles?

The only differences that I have noticed is that there is usually the same kids my age at the auditions, there are way less auditions up here than in LA and there are only two main casting offices in SF versus several in LA.

2. What was your absolute favorite thing about working on Parenthood?

My absolute favorite thing was getting to know all the cast and crew and eating the wonderful crafty services food on the Parenthood set.

3. Do you still keep in touch with any of your Parenthood costars?

I am in touch mostly with Xolo and the other kids that were on the show: Savannah, Mia and Ella. Social media helps me stay in contact with the adult actors and my mom likes to send yearly updates to everyone to let them know what I’ve been up to and how I’m doing.

4. What was it like to attend the premiere of Camp Cool Kids?

It was so much fun to be able to see all my castmates and friends again since I live in Sacramento now. I was very humbled that a lot of my LA friends showed up to the premiere and got to see my younger self (since it had been two years from the film date) acting. We all had a really good time.

5. How does it feel to see yourself up on the big screen?

It’s a little weird to see myself on the big screen, but I love watching myself act. I crack myself up. I think I see things different than what other people see.

6. What was it like working with many other young actors on the film?

It’s a lot of fun to work with a bunch of kids my age because even when we weren’t filming, we hung out and did things every day. It was like a month-long playdate.

7. What is the best advice a co-star has given you while working on a project?

Dax would give me advice often, but since I was so little, I didn’t realize how important what he said was until I got a bit older. You have to work hard for what you want and have fun while doing it.

8. While role that you’ve played has been the most challenging so far?

I think the most challenging role I had was on Criminal Minds. My dad gets shot in one of the scenes I did and I thought about that happening to my own dad to get into character.

9. Can you tell us anything about your upcoming film One Nation Under God?

It’s going to be a great film with amazing actors. It has to do with a kid that wants to be able to speak about God in his school so he fights for the right to be able to say “God” in the Pledge of Allegiance.

10. What else have you been up to this year?

I joined the middle school basketball team this year and we got second place in our league. I also have a couple projects in the works for 2018. One film I will be doing is a rather small, but cool part. The other film I would be doing is still in the beginning stages of funding and scheduling. My parents and I are very picky on what projects I audition for since I am just barely turning 14. It’s important to me to be doing stuff that I am proud of and am passionate about. I have really enjoyed every project I have done so far and have never had a bad experience or worked with anyone I didn’t want to work with. I have been really blessed in that sense.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would like to thank all the people in my life and others I don’t know that have supported me and my career to this point. My goal is to be able to make a difference in the world through my acting somehow. We all need to help each other and lift each other up to make this world a better place.

Garren Stitt plays the role of Oscar Nero on General Hospital. When not working on the soap he is busy filming his recurring role on Disney Channel’s Andi Mack where he plays the role of Marty!

1. How did you get started in acting?

I remember being very charismatic, always singing and dancing and very often people approached me offering representation, and my mom gave it a try.

2. Do you remember your very first audition?

I was very lucky to be doing my first audition with this amazing writer, Director Ted Raimi, for a short film and I remember him clapping hands and saying bravo Garren. I got the job on the spot and when I did two films for him he told me “I will see you in Hollywood Garren”! I really enjoyed the whole process of filming and that really inspired me!

3. Whats it like working on a huge Disney show like Andi Mack?

It’s truly a blessing to work on a show like that, with an amazing crew and cast it has given me a lot of exposure and recognition.

4. How do you enjoy working with Sofia Wylie?

Sofia and I are very close to each other, whenever I’m on set she and her father make sure I’m having a lot of fun!

5. How would you describe your character Marty?

Marty is a very competitive easy going guy. His number one goal is to make sure he’s always beating Buffy.

6. What is the most challenging part of working on a soap compared to a Disney series?

The most challenging part for me was learning a lot of material in such a short period of time and doing everything in basically one take. But after being there for awhile I got used to it and now it’s super easy!

7. What has been your experience working on General Hospital?

General Hospital is like a second home to me, everyone on set is the kindest to me and having the support from my stage mom and everyone else, I’m very blessed to be apart of a show like this one!

8. How do you enjoy working with Eden?

Eden is cool and a hard worker! I admire her for going to a regular school and working on GH!

9. What has been the best part of working with Maurice?

Maurice is one of the best actors I’ve worked with. We really bond on and off set, he is super funny! I’m always happy to see him cause I know that it’s going to be a fun day!

10. Do you have a favorite episode you have worked on?

I just did one that hasn’t been released yet so stay tuned for that!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Check out my new song I just dropped, Title: “Streaks” on all major streaming services.

Merry Xmas everyone!

Gunner and Ryder Gabois play the role of Connor on The Young and the Restless. This year they have been busy working on the soap and look for them in more episodes this January!

1. What was the experience like for Gunner and Ryder to work on a music video?

It was really fun! Great experience and quick too! The director from the movie, Chimeras, that the boys were in when they were little, was the director for the music video!

2. How do the boys prepare for auditions?

I just run lines with them and they catch on quickly. Not much preparation at all!

3. What is it like to have Gunner and Ryder film at Y&R for multiple years now?

We are so grateful to have been a part of Y&R for 2.5 years now. Everyone is so sweet and loving to the boys. It’s definitely more like extended family

4. What is the best part of filming with Joshua Morrow?

The boys said “he gives the best knuckles”

5. How do the boys enjoy working with Alyvia?

They absolutely adore her. They are always so excited to see her. They love playing hide and seek and having dance parties with her!

6. What was it like filming with Gia Poeme?

It was always great filming with Gia! The boys became really close to her and we even have sleepovers at her house!

7. How have Gunner and Ryder enjoyed working with Jude and Ozzy?

They love working with the babies!

8. What was it like filming this year’s Halloween episode?

It was fun! The boys thought their robot costumes were the best thing ever! They even talked like robots when they wore them!

9. Now that the boys are older do they get a choice as to which shoots which scenes?

Yes, usually we try and split the scenes in half so they both film the same number of scenes

10. What has been their favorite scene to film this year?

That’s such a hard call because every time they film is so much fun both on and off set

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Thank you to all of the fans for your ongoing support and thank you Star-kids for everything you do!

1 Day ‘Til Christmas!

Emily Skinner played Kim Marston in an episode of Days of Our Lives. This year she has been busy filming her role in Disney Channel’s Andi Mack which is currently in its second season!

1. What was your time on set like filming Shake It Up?

I was so excited to get to be a part of the show! I was in the Glitz It Up episode and played a bratty pageant girl who suffers her first defeat. The writing was hilarious and I had a lot of fun playing my villainous character!

2. How did you like working with Zendaya?

Zendaya was warm and welcoming. I remember thinking she was so beautiful, hard working, confident and accomplished. I wanted to be just like her one day…

3. What was your time on set like filming Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp?

I was lucky enough to have a scene with Molly Shannon! She was so easy to work with and the dialogue between myself and her felt so natural when we were filming! I hope to get to work with her again someday!

4. How did you enjoy filming a music video for Avicii?

This was such an amazing project and, to this day, one of my favorite experiences ever! I hadn’t ever done a music video before, so I figured that my chances of booking were not great; but I had a dance teacher whose baby was really sick and I was trying to figure out a way to fund raise for her. I actually self submitted for the project with the intent of donating the profits to her. I was overjoyed to hear that I booked it! I grew so much working on that set under director Julius Onah and with Joshua Fredric Smith as my father…I think that it benefitted me as much as my dance coach! Go check out the video…it is a beautiful story about hope, redemption, and what can happen when someone believes in you:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6iKSUoUN48

5. What is it like to be a part of a Disney show vs. working on a primetime show?

Because Andi Mack is a single camera show, all shot on location in Utah, it feels like a primetime show. Andi Mack has also been so much fun to shoot since there are so many kids in the cast…and I truly love hanging out and working with each one of them! Creator Terri Minsky and Executive Producer Michelle Manning; as well as the entire cast and crew, keep the atmosphere professional but also fun and kid friendly!

6. What was your first day on set like for Andi Mack?

First days are always a little nerve-racking…but mostly just super exciting! Sometimes I can barely sleep the night before! But the Andi Mack cast was soooo welcoming from the start, that I warmed up to them quickly and that made the experience even more amazing because I enjoyed being with them so much…it didn’t even feel at all like work!

7. How would you describe your character Amber?

Amber is Andi Mack’s nemesis. First impressions lead the viewers to believe that she is the “it” girl, leader of the popular girl clique. In the first season Amber was Jonah Beck’s girlfriend, and she was jealous and insecure when Jonah and Andi became friends. She tried to pull them apart. But in the second season, Amber is dimensionalized as viewers are given more insight into her tumultuous home life and lack of any meaningful relationships. Amber is more vulnerable this season…she feels lonely and in need of some guidance…

8. What has it been like traveling to Utah to film the show?

The flight to Utah is quite short from California and doesn’t take much longer than driving to LA during traffic hours! I love Utah! Salt Lake City is beautiful and clean, and I love to hang out in Park City with all of its outdoor activities, art galleries, and delicious restaurants!

9. How do you enjoy filming with Peyton Elizabeth Lee?

It is the best getting to work with her! I love Peyton…she is one of my best friends! It is so much fun playing her nemesis on set, but it’s sometimes hard to keep a straight face when playing the mean girl character with her. We both work hard and keep it professional when filming…but we laugh a lot after the scenes are cut since our onscreen relationship is so opposite of our offscreen friendship.

10. What has been your favorite scene to film for the show?

The Ferris Wheel scene in “The Snorpion”, because it was a night shoot on a ferris wheel and we got to have a pizza party after we wrapped!!!!

11. Is there anything else you would like to add?

I feel very lucky to be a part of this groundbreaking show! Thank you so much for interviewing me!!!!!

Happiest Holidays to all of you!!!!

1 Day ‘Til Christmas!

Jackson and Leighton Rapo play the role of Thomas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. You may also recognize the boys from their recurring role in season 11 and 12 of Bones!

1. How did Jackson and Leighton get into the business?

I distribute a girls clothing line called Matilda Jane Clothing. A gal I met through a local photographer hosted a trunk show and she invited another mom to the show. This mom and I connected long before I even had Leighton and Jackson. One day when they were about 3 months old she reached out to me and said that her kids agency (she has a daughter and twin boys as well) was looking for twin baby boys. She asked if I would be interested in having her send in their photo and info. I agreed and then about 3 weeks later Osbrink asked to meet and we then started going out on auditions.

2. What was their first day on set like for Bones?

The first day on set for Bones was a day they were shooting an “insert” shot. It was a scene where the baby had to be sleeping in a crib. They still napped 2 times per day then, so I was able to schedule the scene during one of their regular nap times. We were able to get one of boys to sleep, placed him in the crib and then the crew came in with cameras, etc. It was super easy!

3. How did you feel seeing them air on the show for the first time?

It’s super fun to see your children/child on the tv screen! We loved it!

4. What was the experience like working with David?

David kept to himself when we were there during Season 11. In Season 12 he seemed to be directing more, and so we had more interaction with him. He was professional and kind to the boys.

5. What was the best part of filming with Emily?

Emily was so sweet with the boys and really made it a point to “get to know them” before they started their scenes together. She wanted to make sure they were comfortable with her and always shared a book or a toy with them (depending on the prop).

6. How did you feel when you heard the boys booked BB?

We were super excited about them booking B&B! We knew that it would be a recurring role and that’s always a plus in the industry!

7. What was their first day on set like?

Everyone at B&B is amazing! They were so welcoming and it was really fun to be there! Their set teacher is so sweet and really looks out for them. Linsey came in to their dressing room to meet them and chat a bit before they went out. Everyone loved them so it made it a great day!

8. What was their experience like working with Linsey?

She is so sweet and “plays” with them on set in between takes so they are really comfortable around her!

9. How did Jackson and Leighton enjoy working with Pierson?

They love Thomas! He gave them high fives and fist pumps so they think he’s great!

10. Do you have a favorite scene they filmed this year?

Our favorite scene is the one where Leighton is playing Douglas and he says, “I love you daddy!” It so sweet and he did a great job when they told him to say it.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

The boys love going to “work” and we look forward to more opportunities in 2018!
