General Hospital

It’s Christmas!

Nicolas Bechtel plays the role of Spencer Cassadine on General Hospital. This year he has been busy working on his Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle which returned for season three with two holiday themed episodes!

1. How did you enjoy working on your current General Hospital storyline?

I LOVE playing Spencer. I am Spencer. I want to play Spencer when I am 25 years old. I love all the opportunities that Frank and the writers give me. It means a lot to know they trust me so much with the material.

2. What was it like working with James Patrick Stuart?

JPS is a cool guy. Off camera he’s really funny and on set he gets serious and intense with an occasional joke to make sure we’re all having fun.

3. Is there anyone in the cast you were especially excited to get to film with again?

I really love working with everyone on that cast. Everyone is special to me in their own way. Like Ryan Paevey and I just hang out and eat. Maurice is always joking around with me. Emme Rylan is always so cute and funny. She knows the things that I am into because she has two boys. Genie is like having a real life Nana on set. It’s a really special cast and I have never seen anything like it anywhere else.

4. How is working on a Disney show different compared to filming for a soap opera?

Working on a Disney show is a complete 180. It’s a single camera show so each shot takes a couple hours. It takes one whole week to tape an episode. GH is an episode a day. People don’t realize how hard daytime actors work. On Disney, I may have 5-10 lines a day and on GH I may have 30 lines in a few scenes and 10 scenes a day. The main difference is the time spent on set. At GH, I may do 7 scenes, go to school and I am done for the day. On SITM, we rarely get out early. I love both of them though.

5. What was it like filming your Hispanic Heritage commercial for Disney and sharing your family’s story?

My Hispanic Heritage commercial was special to me. I was honored that the network wanted me to share my family with the World. I love my family and I want everyone to know them!!! It allowed me to share how proud of my great-grandparents and grandparents that I am. The final result was great, my family was excited and loved it.

6. How did you react when you found out you booked Stuck in the Middle?

Oh man, the process when I auditioned for Lewie was exhausting…and LONG. It took about 2 months. We’d get a call to come back. Then we’d get a call to do a chemistry test with Jenna Ortega. Then a camera test to see what I really look like on camera. Then you wait some more. Finally, when my parents and agent got the word that I had booked Lewie Diaz we left for the Mexican Riviera and celebrated. Plus, it was my Dad’s 40th birthday. It was stressful but at the end it was so great.

7. What is it like filming a show with so many siblings?

Filming with so many siblings is probably what you’d imagine. Loud. Chaotic. Fun. Arguing. We are all very close and really care about each other but just like any siblings we have bad days. It makes me happy to see how real the chemistry looks on screen.

8. What has it been like working with Jenna Ortega again?

Jenna is my girl. Her and I are probably closest. She and I have known each other for a while and we were even roommates when we booked the show. Our moms are close and our dads know each other well. I love Jenna and I respect how hard she works. She does a great job of portraying Harley. She has the longest days and most dialogue and never complains. She is definitely the Most Valuable Diaz…LOL

9. Do you have a favorite episode you did for season two?

My favorite episode from Season 2 was Beast Day. It gave me and Beast the chance to step away from the rest of the Diazes and have our own moment. It brought us closer together and better friends. The episode turned out great.

10. Can you tell us anything about the upcoming season for Stuck in the Middle?

Season 3 is going to be great. It starts of with Stuck at Christmas the Movie and just gets better as the season goes on. It’s been a fun season and I can’t believe it’s already halfway over.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would like to add that I am truly thankful to GH and for a fanbase that is so supportive of Spencer. I look forward to returning to GH whenever my schedule allows me to. I read all the positivity that is sent to me on social media. I am thankful that Frank allows me to come back when I am on hiatus. The writers always come up with crazy, fun material for me and I appreciate every episode that I get to play Spencer. Happy Holidays from my family to YOURS 🙂

It’s Christmas!

Eden McCoy plays the role of Josslyn Jacks on General Hospital. This year she has been busy with Josslyn’s own storyline on the soap and a performance at the Nurse’s Ball!

1. Is there anything you can share about your role in The Nerd Possee?

I play a character named Jennie, she is one of three “Jenny’s” that are a mean girl clique at the school. Don’t worry though, the nice kids get their revenge on us in the end! It’s a really great story – you will love it!

2. What was the experience like attending the Daytime Emmy Awards?

It was a magical day and night for sure! Everyone looked so gorgeous, and there were lots of nerves among my castmates that were nominated. I got to sit in the audience with them and also my directors, and when it was announced at the end that GH won best drama we all went CRAZY and ran up to the stage. I’ll never forget it! My whole body was tingling!

3. What was it like attending this year’s General Hospital fan weekend?

Oh wow that is one of my favorite weekends because I get to see in person how much GH means to our viewers! GH has been on for over 50 years and our fans are really knowledgeable about the history of the characters, it makes me feel really good and special to be a part of that. And it’s fun to meet people who are so passionate about what we do on the show and I love hearing their opinions about where they think storylines should go.

4. How did you enjoy singing during this years Nurse’s Ball?

I was terrified beforehand! But it was really fun when the time actually came to perform, and I loved my dress, hair and makeup so I was feeling pretty confident. It was the first time I performed live since I was nine years old and sang in the Los Angeles Opera, so it had been a while!

5. What goes into filming a performance during the Nurse’s Ball?

There is a lot of rehearsal, and the actor will perform the number many times on shoot day (before they actually tape) for the directors, producers and crew so they can get the lighting and blocking on stage right. There also has to be rehearsal and blocking with the other cast members who are in the audience watching the performance, so they know where to look and when to react when the cameras are on them. It’s unbelievable how much thought our incredible directing and producing team put into the Nurse’s Ball, but that’s how it always turns out so epic when we go to film it!

6. How do you enjoy working with Chloe?

Chloe is the most adorable girl – I couldn’t love her more. I am always so happy to see her when we are working on the same day. And she’s an amazingly talented actor – there are BIG things in store for that girl. She’s beautiful inside and out – she has a very big heart.

7. What has the experience been like working with Mo?

That man is a gem – he is everyone’s favorite. I never guessed when I first met him how funny he really is, and the days I get to work with him, even if the scenes are emotional, I always know I’m going to be laughing. He is a brilliant actor and when the cameras start rolling he is intense and professional, but he relaxes between takes and has a great time joking with all of us and the crew. I have learned so much about how to behave on set by watching him with Laura and Chad in our most intense scenes.

8. Is there anything you would like to see happen on the show for Josslyn and Oscar?

It would be fun to have a “teen scene” in Port Charles with more characters (old and new), where we can portray the issues teens face and are important to young people these days in high school, and all the growing pains that go along with that. Our writers are amazing so i know it would be well written, and I think viewers would enjoy watching those stories play out.

9. What has been your favorite scene to film this year for GH?

There was a scene in the summer, I think it aired on June 12, that I flmed with Laura where Josslyn really expressed deep feelings about why she was upset Carly was getting back with Sonny. It was powerful and they spoke about women respecting themselves and each other and learning from their mistakes, and when we were filming it it felt very real. I hope that viewers were able to see that there were very real and complex reasons why Josslyn was angry with Sonny, and it was satisfying as an actor to try and show the real pain Joss was feeling that explained why she had been acting like such a brat towards Sonny all those weeks.

Justin Chambers was amazing!! He is very nice, he’s a great actor and he was full of compliments for me. Just LOVED working with him.

3. How did you prepare for the emotional part?

When I looked at the script, and saw that my character is upset, I just put myself in that position. I actually can feel what the character is going through. So, I can do emotional roles pretty well.

4. What was the experience like attending this year’s GH Fan Weekend?

I love attending the GH Fan Club Weekend!! This was my second time. I love seeing all of the fans, meeting them, taking pictures with them and signing autographed headshots for them. Working with Constance was truly an honor. She is a great actress and she was very nice to me. Great to have gotten to work with her.

9. How did you prepare for the Chimera Project storyline?

Frank told me about the storyline and I had to get myself into a dark mysterious place for that role. It was fun!!

10. What has been your favorite scene to film this year?

My favorite scene this year was probably when Franco was moving into our house and I was carrying one of Franco’s boxes and I tripped over some stuffed animals. That was fun. However, I also liked the Chimera project, and the emotional scene with my dad on the park bench. I enjoy working all of my scenes..

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would just like to add that I love working with all of the amazing actors & actresses and all of the behind the scenes people!!! It is an honor to be part of this awesome team! I feel so grateful & blessed to have been given this opportunity.. I feel like General Hospital is my second home!

Scarlett Fernandez plays the role of Charlotte Cassadine on General Hospital. This year she has also been seen in episodes of Jane the Virgin, Lethal Weapon, and a commercial for Best Buy!

1. What was your time on set like filming for Jane the Virgin?

It was super fun because it was my first time filming on location at a beach. Everyone was really nice…the kids, the adult actors and the crew.

2. How did you come up with the idea to send American Girl dolls and accessories to kids affected by the hurricanes?

I didn’t really come up with the idea on my own. When my sister was my age, there was a tornado in Missouri. She had just bought a new doll with her own money, and when she heard about kids who no longer had toys, she sent her doll. So, when we heard about the hurricanes, we came up with the idea together as a family to do the same thing. I could not believe how generous everyone was. My friends, family, and fans really came together to help.

3. What do you enjoy most about working at GH?

I really like the fact that everyone is super nice.

Michelle is so nice. I love how much Nina loves Charlotte and always takes care of her. I feel like Michelle is always watching out for me too.

7. How did you enjoy working with Brooklyn and Hudson for the Nurse’s Ball?

I LOVE working with Brooklyn and Hudson. They made long days of shooting really fun. I really liked the storyline and wish Charlotte, Emma and Jake hung out more in Port Charles.

8. What was the experience like attending your first GH Fan Club Weekend?

My first GH Fan Club weekend was extra special because the first day was my birthday. When I walked in, everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, and during the evening I got gifts, cupcakes and balloons. It was REALLY fun meeting so many people that love General Hospital and like Charlotte.

9. What was your favorite General Hospital scene to film this past year?

I have a few favorites, but I really like any of the ones that involve Charlotte with other kids like Rocco, Emma, Jake, Spencer, Josslyn and Bailey.

2. What was your time on set like filming your Subaru commercial?

A lot of work and a lot of fun. I had to climb up and down those stairs with heavy loads all day. It was 3 or 4 days of shooting total. The best part was Moe. He was an awesome puppy.

3. How did you react seeing it on TV for the first time?

I didn’t see it for a long time but I was super excited when I finally did. I saw it at a restaurant that had TV’s everywhere. Those are my favorite restaurants because I love watching sports.

They left me speechless. I forgot my line!! They were so sweet and cute.

6. How much fun is it working with Hudson as your big brother?

Oh it’s the best!! He is my best friend in real life too. He’s like a real big brother. We met at the wedding and we just hit it off. I love him.

7. First I’d like to say you are a good little actor and so adorable! What’s it like working with Steve Burton and having him as a TV Dad?

OMG it is amazing working with all the GH actors and actresses. They are all such good role models and acting coaches. They are all so professional. I look up to Steve, Billy, Chad… They are all amazing. I’m so lucky to work with all of them.

8. What do you do to pass the time at the studio between filming?

I have to do a few hours of school. I usually bring a football to toss around if we have some extra time to kill. Every day is different. If there are other kids on set we will sometimes hang out and play games.

9. If you could pick one thing for GH to write for Danny next year what would it be?

Oh I don’t know!! I’d love a storyline but I leave all that up to the writers. They know what they are doing and they have always been good to me. They really get to know the character and actor. If they have a story in mind for me, I know it will rock!

10. Do you have a favorite episode you’ve done this year?

My favorite episode was when Jake and Danny sing to their daddy at the hospital. I actually climbed up on the bed early out of instinct. It hard for me not to do what just feels right and natural. Frank was directing and left it in. They are really good about letting me be Danny naturally. It’s like we are the same person.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Just that I love all the fans and support that I get from cast, crew and fans everywhere. I’m blessed and I thank you all.

Lori and Sevan Andonian played the role of Scout Morgan on General Hospital. The girls also filmed the pilot for Distefano, and have been busy working on multiple projects.

1. How did the girls get started in the business?

By chance! A friend suggested I send in pictures of the girls (7 weeks at the time) for an Instagram identical twin post. Waited over a week before I followed up but was lucky enough to get a response.

2. Do you remember what their first audition experience was like?

It was actually GH and I was clueless and confused but turned out great.

3. What was the experience like filming the Distefano pilot?

This was a great experience. We are on set 4 days straight we met some really amazing people. There were many seasoned actors on set who gave me some amazing stories they had with babies. I also think it was great because Lori and Sevan were a little older at this point and were responding to everyone with cute faces.

4. What was their first day on set of General Hospital like?

Great! For being my first ever experience on set I felt comfortable. Frank was amazing with his introduction and made me feel comfortable right away. The girls were so calm during the scene and so was I. I think we are truly fortunate that GH was our first job, great way to be introduced to the industry.

5. Is there a way to tell the girls apart on screen?

Sevan is a little more full in the face but at times I actually have trouble myself. We have a rule for the most part, Lori on the left and Sevan on the right. Dad and I always are concerned we aren’t going to know when they are older and look back at pictures.

6. How did Lori and Sevan enjoy working with Kelly Monaco?

I think they did great. Kelly did a great job with the girls and being patient.

7. What was the best part of filming with Billy Miller?

He had a natural touch with the girls. They loved being in his arms!!

8. How did Lori and Sevan like working with TK?

They didn’t get to much screen time with him but I am sure if they had stayed on they would become best buds. Such a sweet boy.

9. Do you have a favorite scene the girls got to film?

I think the last project they worked on. They had the opportunity to work with the talented Sarah Bolger, who honestly felt like family by the end of their job. I think it was also the fact the girls are more interactive now and respond to people and their scenes a bit.

10. Is there anything you can share about the project they were filming at the end of October?

It was super fun, far away and they worked with some very amazing talented individuals. Can’t wait to see it come to laugh. Stayed tuned and we will post details as soon as we are allowed to on Instagram and Twitter.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would like to add how fortunate the girls were on landing the job on GH and other opportunities. So far they are enjoying their experiences and look forward to many more characters to play.

I really want Rocco to go back to the police station and help my dad catch some bad guys!

Pressly James Crosby plays the role of Leo Falconeri on General Hospital. This is his first big booking and he cannot wait to work more with the cast and crew!

1. How did you get started with acting?

He got started with acting of course from his mama. He watches me practice for all my animation voiceover projects/auditions and is like “I wanna do that mama!” So I got him an awesome manager and great headshots and literally his 4th audition EVER was GH and he BOOKS IT! Amazing.

2. What is one of your favorite things you’ve gotten do do this year at an audition?

His favorite thing at an audition…umm he’s not a fan of the waiting game (mommy isn’t either lol) but I would say his Least favorite was eating old cold soup for a Campbell’s soup commercial! Favorite would probably be when he auditioned for the son of Sandra Bullocks in the new film Bird Box. 1. What inspired you to start your YouTube series The Science Kid?

My inspiration for my Science Kid Youtube Channel, all started last year. My teacher saw how great I am at editing and filming videos, and she suggested to make videos for school. So, I found a perfect way to make videos, and that’s when The Science Kid was born.

2. How long does it take to make an episode?

It takes me about 3 hours to write, film, and edit an episode of the Science KID from start to finish. I first write a script, then film the video, and finally edit it.

3. Do you have a favorite episode you have worked on so far?

My favorite episode of the Science KID, was the video about SPACE! It was really fun to film, had lots of special effects, and had some great fun facts.

4. What was the experience like walking the runway at LA Fashion Week?

It was a great experience! I’ve never ever walked any fashion show, so it was really fun trying something new.

5. How did you enjoy attending the Skechers Friendship Walk event?

The Skechers Friendship Walk event was awesome! I got to walk for a great charity, and see a bunch of my friends!

6. What was your time on set like filming your Motel 6 commercial?

The Motel 6 commercial was really fun to film! I got to work with some great people, and got to improve and have a lot of fun!

7. How did it feel to return for another episode of Teachers?

My second Teachers Episode was a great experience. I got to work with the same crew and met some new friends. It was really fun!

8. What was the biggest difference in filming your second episode compared to your first?

The biggest difference is that I had a different teacher. Between the first ep. and the second, I went up a grade in a school. I got to meet a new teacher that was super funny and great to work with.

9. If they wrote your character George into a third episode of the series what would you like to see happen?

I would love to see more of Georgie’s Dad. The story line for Georgie’s Dad is really funny.

10. What else have you been up to this year?

I’ve done a lot of things this year. Besides Acting, I’ve been swimming a lot, attending two different types of Karate, hanging out with a lot of friends, and doing a lot of….. sleepovers! So far, this year has been a blast!

Olivia Trujillo filmed multiple episodes of General Hospital. This year she been seen on Little Big Shots and you may recognize her as a judge from season two of The Toy Box!

1. What was your time on set like filming #REALITYHIGH?

I had a blast. Everyone was so much fun and wonderful to be around. Tatiana Lett (young Dani) and I really bonded and spent a lot of time together. Even today I am still friends and in contact with many members of the cast.

2. What was the best part of filming your Walmart commercial?

Working with the remarkable Wonder Woman, totally awesome!

3. How did you enjoy your summer shoot for Target?

Target is always a blast! Who could ever complain about being at the beach and getting paid for it?

4. What was the experience like working on Little Big Shots?

It is a crazy good time. You get to meet so many talented kids from all over the world. The time goes by so fast when you are there.

5. What was it like filming with Steve Harvey?

Steve Harvey is hilarious! I have to say it is live TV, so I was nervous at first. Translating instantaneously is never easy and you have so many dialects in Spanish. None of it was rehearsed or scripted, I get asked that a lot. Some words just do not translate in English, so I was really worried. But then you get on stage and you start laughing because Steve really is that funny and you forget about everything else.

6. How different is it to work on a show like The Toy Box?

The Toy Box is different because you are working with a lot of other kids who have a different perspective on every toy. You are mainly judging adults and their perception of toys they think kids will find fun, outrageous right? But that is what makes it so unique.

7. What is it like filming with Eric Stonestreet?

Eric is like a big kid. I don’t think everyone gets to see how much fun he is on the The Toy Box, but we had a fantastic time. Think of playing with toys all day with your parents. Crazy fun!!!

8. How long did the season take to film?

It went by really fast, we filmed in just under 3 weeks.

9. What is the toughest part of being a judge?

The toughest part of being a judge is you have to tell someone you did not like his or her creation. It’s not personal. You are trying to pick one toy for kids all over the US. It needs to be universal, unique and be the best toy ever. Then as kids we have different interests and that can be challenging when having to make collective choices. I looked for a toy that could be around for an endless amount of time, that was fun for everyone and all ages could play.

10. Do you have a favorite toy you’ve gotten to see on the Toy Box that didn’t make it to the finale?

Yes, but we are still under contract and not allowed to share just yet.
