Happy New Year!

Okay I know that last year I said I did not know where to begin, but this year, I really DON'T know where to begin!

2010 really flew by! It feels like it was just last week that I was posting last year's message and video. While a lot has changed over the past year, it feels contradicting, since it feels like not a whole lot HAS changed.

This year has brought to us a few dozen new kids to support as well as new families who love the site and all of our efforts in keeping it updated.

The kids have been busy this year as well! From two new Disney stars (Bella Thorne and Kenton Duty) to all the print work and commercials, all of the kids have been busy this year!

We also had an AMAZING turnout for our annual Q&A event with over 30 families participating!

You may also notice that the gallery is currently offline. We are working hard to bring you guys something NEW this New Year!

As many of you may know, we make a video: Every Year. This year is no exception! I have been working hard on this video since September to make it just right! The video really shows just how busy this year has been! Enjoy! And be sure to watch right up 'til the very end!

Happy New Year 2011 from Heaven, Toni, Susan and Lisa!

Alex Ben and Caleb Eckstein played the role of “Spike Lavery” on All My Children from 2007 to 2010 when the show moved to LA. The boys have also been seen on Ugly Betty and Boardwalk Empire this year.

1. I was wondering what is next for Alex, Ben, and Caleb. Are they currently working on another project?

Right now the boys aren't working on anything. They started Pre-School and are enjoying that three days a week. We're still pursuing work but right now school and family is what they've been enjoying most.

2. Do the boys miss their on-screen family from AMC? Do they keep in touch with anyone?

The boys absolutely miss EVERYONE from their AMC family. We keep in touch with Alicia, some of the crew from AMC, a few of the other families, and Jada, Sister, and Kathy who helped us everytime the boys were at the studio. The boys actually shot Boardwalk Empire which the McTigue twins also filmed.

3. How did the boys like filming "Boardwalk Empire"?

The filming of Boardwalk Empire was completed in 2 exciting but long days. The boys were put up in their own trailer for dressing, which was our first experience. It was rather small, but we were not there long at all. Once called for stand-by, we spent the majority of the time off set in a room about the size of a classroom, where we colored, watched movies, played handheld video games, and any other activities that we brought with us. The food was incredible .. we ate like kings. Each of the boys filmed the entire scene countless times throughout the 2 days. They really hung in there and did a great job! The entire staff was hospitable and the boy really enjoyed being there.

4. How did the boys like filming "Ugly Betty"?

The filming of Ugly Betty was a lot of fun! For some days they had their own trailer and others their own room. The cast & crew were a lot of fun and really great with the boys. Ben got to operate a camera and sit where the camera guy sat (I got a few photos of that) They got really comfortable with Chris and America and it showed when they filmed. During the diner scene they had to smoosh a muffin into "Betty's" face and it was funny because they were trying to be polite about it because they liked her. They even ad-libbed their own lines at the diner. Even funnier is Ben filmed and then Alex came in and filmed and neither one saw the other BUT during one part where "Nate" had to try to be rude to Betty both boys roared like a dinosaur! The crew got a kick out of that. The boys were able to keep a few keepsakes like the Green High Heeled shoe and a few other things :-)

5. What was it like to go from a recurring role on All My Children to a one-shot deal like Ugly Betty?

There are benefits and draw backs to both. The boys enjoy working and being around people and enjoy whatever comes their way. They really bonded with the cast/crew from AMC as did Michael and I and it was hard for us to say goodbye to 2.5 years of memories. The boys grew up on AMC so to speak because we spent a lot of time in NYC. It's hard now that the four boys are in school and Abby has joined our family for us to uproot and go to NJ for weeks/months on end, although if something came along and the boys were still interested in doing this we'd find a way to make it work.

6. Was it hard to get the boys to not pay attention to their surroundings while filming Boardwalk Empire?

The audition was our preparation for the actual filming because I already knew it was for the role of a deaf child. Having played "Spike" as long as they did with his hearing loss they were accustomed to pretending not to listen(and they were 3.5 yrs old and that's part of their nature :-P) The audition had them sitting with a ball of rubberbands and/or a toy and ignoring the lady. I wasn't in the room so I'm not 100% sure how it went but I guess it was good since they chose them to do the role. Caleb was the one you ultimately saw in that episode of Boardwalk Empire. And yes, I'm partially bias as their parent, but for as long of a day they had shooting those scenes and how many times they had to film it over and over at different angles they all did a great job of being patient and still staying within "character".

7. How did you feel when the boys got casted to play Spike?

I remember everything from the moment we got the casting notice to the day we got the call. It was almost surreal but felt like it was meant to happen. We were up in NJ for the boys birthday party and had plans of leaving Monday. We got a call saying that AMC liked the photo and wanted the boys to come in for an audition on Tuesday. We rearranged our schedules and took the boys in. I remember Alex was under the weather and Thorston was there and he came right over to the boys and was playing & talking to them. That Thursday we got a call saying they wanted to book us and we started Monday with a tour of the studio and filming Tuesday. As excited as we were there was a lot to consider because we lived in PA and there was a LOT of filming to take place. We were lucky enough to have parents who were so willing to accomodate us and allow us to pretty much takeover their homes hehe... We sat down with Judy and she went over the story line we were getting involved with and I remember her telling us about the car accident and blood and how it looks real, especially on TV, and some parents can't deal with it but it was neat to see how they made it work so it looked real and yes...even though we/I knew the blood and such was fake I still found myself getting emotional with some of the scenes. The day we learned it was going to LA was a sad, sad, day.

8. What was the boys last AMC tape date like?

I'm going to let Michael answer this because he was there, but I know for me not being able to be there was hard. We made a lot of good friends during our time there and it was hard to think we weren't going to be seeing them anymore. Some, like I said, we keep in contact with and it's great to see how things are going for them both in LA and NYC. (Michael) Our last day at AMC was not the official last day of shooting, but in summation, the last day of shooting at AMC was an extremely emotional day. I remember that every few minutes and every corner we turned was someone reflecting on the past and crying both happy and sad tears. Once everyone moved past the idea that AMC was moving to LA, we remembered all the good times that were shared by all over the years. I still cannot believe that we were part of this wonderful group of people for so long, yet looking back, it seemed to go by so quickly.

9. Were there any funny moments on set of AMC, Ugly Betty and/or Boardwalk Empire that stand out/can be shared?

The scene that stands out most in my mind was at AMC during the disappearance of Kendall when she was hiding in the attic. I cannot remember who at this time, but one of the boys was were talking with Erica and "mom" was mentioned and he was trying to tell them that mommy (Bonnie) was home in PA working, yet they were trying to get him to say mommy (Kendall) was in the wall. We all cracked up for the first few times of this shoot. Ugly Betty funny times were mentioned in Q4.

We'd like to thank the Eckstein family for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

Our last Q&A with the amazing actors who work with the kiddos is Lisa Yuen. Lisa played the part of Spike and Ian’s nanny Rachel back in NY. You can also check her out in the films World Trade Center and Four Single Fathers.

1. How did you enjoy working with Alex Ben and Caleb?

Three adorable triplets and awesome parents??!! What's not to love?!

2. How did you enjoy working with Luc and Cole?

How could you not fall in love with those gorgeous curly locks and giant expressive eyes?!

3. Were there any special things you would do before going into a scene that required working with the kids?

The pace is extremely fast at AMC. Usually there is rehearsal, a dry block, and camera rehearsal and then we shoot with with kids. To minimize any difficulties, after I was in hair in make-up, I would always make sure I would play with the kids before we got on set so they were familiar and comfortable with me. I always had to be prepared to improvise . . . children make the set super fun and sometimes unpredictable!

4. Were you able to tell the Alex Ben Caleb apart/Luc and Cole apart?

After 23 episodes, I admit it was still difficult to tell the triplets apart! After hugging and holding Luc and Cole, I always knew that Cole was the heavier one!

5. Do you have any funny stories from working with the children?

I always crack up thinking of times thinking of times that we had to wait behind a closed door before our entrance. Imagine a small, dimly lit space, the back of a set piece, Ian in a giant carriage and me holding Spike, trying to remain silent as we waited! Ha! Sometimes waiting for an entrance was more difficult than the actual scene!

6. Did you get a chance to interact with any of the other AMC kids?

I had one scene with Lucy. What a pro!

7. What has been one of your favorite scenes to film with the boys?

The most fun I had was playing with the kids in the dressing room before we shot. They were such happy children with fantastic parents and they loved being at All My Children! Their happiness truly radiated backstage, as well as on-camera!

8. What do you find to be the most challenging aspect in working with young kids?

I had to do some scenes when Ian was "sick". When it came time to shoot, we asked for the the child that was most tired. The screaming and crying you saw on tv, was not acting!

9. Have you been able to keep in touch with any of the kids since the show moved?
We are on Facebook and I exchange messages with Cathernine, Luc and Cole's mom. Btw - Catherine is super beautiful and looks like she belongs on a soap opera, herself!

10. What were your first thoughts on the role knowing that it involved lots of close work with young kids?

I was excited! I love kids and I love Pine Valley. My personality is a good fit for kids. Kids on camera can be a challenge but I feel like I understood how to prepare them for the quick shoot and the AMC children are total happy pros.

Jacob is fun and I hope we get to work together more this coming year. I am always happy when Tate and I work together because we have blast on set and in the school room.

10. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of Danielle's scenes?

This afternoon we have our recently held Q&A with Finn Wittrock who plays Kathy and Jenny’s brother Damon on All My Children. You may also recognize Finn from Halloweentown High, and don’t forget to tune in the coming weeks to see his last scenes on the soap. We know the kids are really going to miss having him around the set!!

1. How did you enjoy working with David and Damian?

I miss those kids! They were like perfect babies - and so in the moment, they kept you on your toes. I always said they were some of the best acting partners I've ever worked with.

2. What was your experience like at the luncheon with Danielle, Tate and Jake?

I hung out with Danielle, Tate and Jake a lot during the event actually. I tend to get a little lost in crowd/publicity situations, but when I'm with kids that age I'm the life of the party. Probably because I actually am that age.

3. How do you like working with Dannika and Devon (Kathy and Jenny)?

Dannika and Devon were so professional and smart. They both have big careers ahead of them. We were joking around running lines and one of them said, "You're not really going to do it like that, right?" I lost it.

4. How do you find that filming the scenes changes when a child or infant is involved?

Having a kid in a scene puts everyone IN the scene, because kids live in the world around them at that moment, which is what the main goal of acting is, isn't it?

5. Do you have any funny stories to share about working with any of the kids?

It was hard when we moved - suddenly my infant son looked completely different, and didn't seem to know who I was! I tried to use it.

6. Did you get a chance to meet any of the NY kids other than the Paseler twins?

I didn't really meet anyone else, because I came in at the tail end of the show being in New York.

7. Did you have any concerns coming into the role knowing that Damon had an infant son?

I wanted Damon to grow into the idea of being a father. What was hard was imagining what is was like for Damon himself not to have had a good father, because my dad is awesome. Damon was trying to compensate for what he Didn't have, which I think made him a very attentive dad, even if at first he didn't know what he was doing.

8. What is your favorite part about filming scenes with the kids?

I like when a kid does something unexpected, like grabs you or picks something up they weren't supposed to; especially if the director doesn't stop the scene. It makes you be on your toes and go with a moment that is spontaneous. And (hopefully) make it work.

9. Do you have any special routine you do before working on a scene with kids?

I make sure to hang out with the kids BEFORE we go on the set. That's good just for relationship building, and for them to get to know you so it looks real. But it also protects against kids crying or throwing a tantrum. Think about going onto a film set from a child's point of view - all the lights and people looking at you can be really scary (it is even for adults) so the more you can make a connection with the child the more they trust you and feel safe in the environment. And the less chance there will be of them freaking out.

10. What has been your favorite scene(s) to film with any of the kids?

Answer One: I liked the scene when Damon was hungover and Kathy and Jenny were jumping all over him and asking him to play with them. Dannika and Devon asked me what was wrong with Damon and I said "He's just very sick this morning." I figured they were still too young for me to try and teach them a lesson on moderation.

Answer Two: Last Christmas I had an episode where I was decorating the house, trying to keep the baby in my arms while I hung decorations and stuffed stockings. I was wearing this ridiculous Santa hat with a large spring on top of it, which practically hypnotized the baby. That was handy because it was a very long scene.

Lauren Boles portrays "Ciara Brady" on Days of Our Lives. Aside from having a kidnapping storyline centered around her and being the daughter of a beloved super couple Lauren was also recently featured in an episode of 'Glee'.

1. How did Lauren feel after she was cast as Ciara?

I was really excited because I would get to be on the show for a really long time!

2. How did Lauren like filming 'Glee'?

I loved, loved, loved meeting all the characters, esp. Lea Michelle. She was my "buddy" for the day. Now I watch the show on TV all the time.

3. How old was Lauren when she started acting and how did she get into it?

I was three years old when I started acting. A talent agent came up to me in a store and started talking to my Mommy about me doing acting.

4. How did Lauren enjoy the 'Samantha's Friends' event that she attended?

It was fun to meet all the fans who came from all over the United States. Also, it was funny to have breakfast there!

5. Is there a particular set at Days that Lauren enjoys filming on the best?

My favorite sets are: Hopes bedroom at the Kiriakis mansion and my own home at Bo and Hope's.

6. Would Lauren ever be interested in doing print work?

Possibly.

7. Does Lauren get to hang out with any of the children on set?

I hang out with Terrell.

8. What has been Lauren's favorite scene to film this year?

My favorite scenes this year were going to visit my Mommy in prison and "going fishing" with my Dad and Carly at the lake.

9. How did Lauren react when she was casted for a role on 'Glee'?

VERY HAPPY! It was a long line to learn, but I did it!

10. How does Lauren prepare her lines?

I memorize them with my Mommy by saying them over and over and then I add in the acting later.

Ellie & Rose Karchmer portray the role of “Parker Jonas“ on Days Of Our Lives. The girls have done other work like Desperate Housewives and House.

1. What was the twins first day on set like?

Our first day on set was the episode with Parker’s birth. I was nervous that they might be covering the babies with cream cheese and jelly (we had been told by casting that it was a possibility they would use cream cheese & jelly on the baby's body and face to make her look like a baby who had just been born!) , but we found out when we got there that they wouldn’t be doing that. I was relieved to hear that! Ellie & Rose were actually in the middle of a fussy week (the same week they filmed the episode of House), but it worked out since babies usually cry when they are born! They had to use the back-up twins who were sleeping so that they could get the actors’ dialogue and then for the later scenes in the hospital. I was worried they wouldn’t have Ellie & Rose come back. I guess they decided to give Ellie & Rose another chance and they haven’t been fussy like that on set since then. The cast and crew were all very welcoming and made us comfortable.

2. How did you feel when they got casted for the part?

It was exciting to hear that the girls were cast. I watched Days of Our Lives growing up and have always enjoyed watching the show when I can. It’s really a dream job! The studio is only 10-15 minutes away from where we live so it’s an easy commute. I also like the fact that there is consistency for the girls with who they work with behind the scenes and in front of the camera. The girls are used to working with Nadia and Shawn now. They are very happy when Nadia holds them and Shawn gets the biggest smiles from them.

3. Have the girls gotten to meet any of the other children backstage?

Yes, they have met Sydney and Johnny. They like watching the Sydney girls move around. Ellie and Rose have an older sister and brother so they are fascinated by older kids.

4. How did the girls like working on House?

The House shoot was very quick! We were only there for about 30 minutes. We worked with the same twins who are the girls’ back-ups on Days of Our Lives. The primetime shows tend to use two sets of twins. The House set is amazing. It looks like the most modern high-tech hospital you have ever been in.

5. What was it like working on Desperate Housewives?

Desperate Housewives was a lot of fun. It took five days to film the scenes for the one episode. It was the girls’ first job. Felicity Huffman and the actress who plays her daughter were great with the babies. I’ve been a fan of that show since the beginning, so it was fun to see what a big production it is. The crew was so nice to us. We had to go to two different locations in addition to the studio. The girls’ first day at work was filming the bus scene. It was filmed on a real bus that drove down a blocked-off residential street. I started to get nervous and wonder if I was crazy for letting them drive away with my 1-month-old baby on board! A baby nurse was sitting right next to them the whole time they were on the bus, but I still questioned whether I was doing the right thing! Typically I get to stand just off camera and am always very close to the baby that is filming. That was the only time I wasn’t right there next to them.

6. Is there any way to tell the girls apart on-screen?

Rose has a red stork bite on her left eye lid- it was visible in the episode of Desperate Housewives in the close-up during the bus scene. You can also see it in some of the close-ups of the birth scene episode on Days. It has been fading as she gets older and it is more difficult to tell them apart! Rose’s face is rounder and Ellie’s face is longer, but that only helps if you are looking at them side by side.

7. What was it like filming the Christening scenes?

It almost felt like a real Christening because of the church set and actor portraying the priest! It was fun to have so many of the Days cast members in the scene. They were all so sweet around the babies.

8. Do you have a favorite scene the girls have done so far?

There is a great scene where Nadia sings to her sleeping son. It is so beautiful. Rose is asleep in her arms and looks like a little angel. Nadia is an amazing singer. It was a treat to get to hear her sing!

9. How did the girls get into the business?

A postpartum doula who helped us at night after the girls were born asked if we were considering putting the girls into the business since they are identical twins. She told me that the other families of twins who she had worked with had really good experiences. I figured I might as well try to learn more. I had joined an internet group for twin moms in the LA area and there had been a post about an agent for infant twins. I talked to the agent who explained how strict the rules are for infants under 6 months (they can only work for 2 hours a day, can only be under the lights for 20 minutes, baby nurse is always provided). I talked to another mom who had her twins on another soap opera and she told me that they had a lot of fun doing it. I decided to give it a shot to see how the girls did and if it caused any disruptions to our family. We live in the San Fernando Valley and are very close to a lot of the studios, which makes it easier for us to do. It’s been a really great experience and it’s nice to be able to put away the money in the girls’ 529 college accounts.

10. Does one girl film more than the other, or is it mostly equal?

At first I tried to keep it as fair as I could by taking turns with each one. Once we started Days of Our Lives, Ellie tended to be the less fussy of the two and filmed more scenes. In the last few weeks, Rose has become less fussy and has been filming more. From what I have heard from people who work with kids on set, that seems to be the usual pattern. It's Christmas Eve!!
Today's actor Q&A for Christmas Eve is with All My Children's Adam Mayfield. Adam played the part of AJ's uncle/Emma's stepdad "Scott Chandler" from 2009-2010. He has a new film in the works as well as a television show, to learn more check out his fansite

1. How did you enjoy working with Rory and Declan McTigue and Tate Berney?

The twins were hilarious! Those two were always playing in dressing room areas when they weren't called to set. Always laughing and playing. And their dad was great - letting them be kids as much as possible while making sure they did their job when needed.
I got to spend much more time with Tate, since Scott never had much interaction with A.J. during the New York tapings.

2. How did you enjoy working with Lucy Merriam, Emily Alyn Lind and Danielle Parker?

Again, not much interaction with Lucy in New York. She was very close to both Cameron and Melissa, though. They adored her. She was a lovely girl.
Emily had great chops for such a young actress. She was clearly destined to follow in the footsteps of her mother, another very talented actress. She also had a stellar personality. Not an ounce of fear in that girl, always cheerful - both she and her sister, who was often on the set as well.
Danielle and I had a special bond, I felt. She was quiet at times, but there was something about her. Both on camera and off. She just had this way about her that exuded warmth and grace - necessary qualities for the character of Emma. Survival traits for a young girl who has seen so much tragedy in her short life. Whether she knows it or not, her quietness comes across as a deep underlying sadness when she plays Emma - perfect for the character. That and she's a consummate hugger, of which I am a total sucker for.

3. What has been your favorite scene(s) to film with any of the kids?

Any one-on-one scene I ever had with Emma or A.J. They were seldom, but tender and fun. There was always a bit of magic whenever I worked with the kids. It always felt like total play.

4. Were there any special things you would do before going into a scene that required working with the children?

Joke with them, play games with them. Get them to feel as comfortable as possible. Help them with their lines. Some of the kids I worked with, I swear they totally forgot they were acting, which is amazing. I learned a lot from that.

5. Do you have any funny stories to share about working with any of the kids on set or backstage?

Tate would sometimes think that we were still rehearsing and not actually taping a scene (a mistake not exclusive to his age range, to his credit) and would still be trying clown with one of us during recording. Sometimes, it worked so well that we would simply move on to the next scene. I'd watch it a month later on T.V. and think,"Oh man, that was perfect."

6. What do you find the most challenging element if any about working with children?

Helping them to keep focus and remembering their lines. It's so important to find that sweet spot of helping them maintain focus but making them feel at ease as well. You try too hard to keep their focus, they lose their sense of play. You clown around too much to get them comfortable, it becomes a party. Heck, the same rule applies to adult actors. I just think we cover all that stuff up better because we've been on the planet a little longer is all.

7. Did you find there were any changes in the portrayal of ‘Scott and Emma' scenes once 'Scott' became her step father?

Oh, yeah. The content didn't necessarily change, but the quantity sure did. The closer Annie and Scott became, the more scenes that involved Emma, which was a joy.

8. Do you find that getting the opportunity to work with the different children who have played "Emma" and "AJ" has provided any aspects that have helped you as an actor?

Being aware of the nuances that may change is helpful because it keeps my own instrument sharp - that awareness. One Emma is more playful than the other, the other more insightful. It's important for me as an actor to be aware of how that changes our relationship without forcing it. Just letting it happen.

9. What advice would you give for anyone looking to become an actor one day?

Please, please, please want to do this for the love of the craft. Not for the glamor or the attention, not for the notoriety or the praise. You will be miserable. Trust me. Do it because you love to act, because you love to play, and it would be nice to get paid for it. Period. You do it for that and you can't go wrong, no matter what happens.

We'd like to thank Adam for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

Austin Williams has been playing the role of "Shane Morasco" on One Life to Live since 2007. He has recently booked a role in the film Sugar, and all questions are answered by Austin himself.

1. How do you enjoy working with Farah and JP?

I love working with Farah and JP. They’re both really funny and nice. They crack me up!

2. What was your favorite part of getting to film a movie with your sister?

The end. Just kidding! We got to spend more time together since we were on location for a few weeks and the crew got us hooked on some really cool strategy board games while we were there.

3. Is there anyone you wish you'd get to work with more at OLTL?

I like working with everyone there. If I had to choose, I’d have to say Mark Lawson because we worked alot together when I first started on the show, and I miss hanging out with him.

4. How did you like filming with Stephanie Schmahl?

I haven’t filmed with her too much, but when I did, she was great to work with.

5. How do you like working with Ilene Kristen?

“Grandma Roxy” is the best! Ilene is awesome to work with. She’s really funny and always has some really great lines.

6. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of your scenes?

One time, when we were filming a family scene at the Lord Mansion, a baby in the scene was crying, and JP walked over to her very calmly and quietly (as a joke) said “SHUT UP.” And then she stopped crying. It was really funny.

7. What was it like getting to work with Cady McClain?

Cady was really nice to me, even though I had to tie her up and drug her in that movie! She and Adrian Pasdar bought both my sister and me really cool cameras at the end of the shoot. They were both alot of fun to work with.

8. What has been your favorite movie to do?

I’ve really enjoyed working on every movie that I’ve filmed, but I think “Michael Clayton” was my favorite movie to do, because George Clooney is completely hilarious. He and JP are actually alot alike. They’re both nice and really funny.

9. How do you like attending all of the fan events?

I love attending the OLTL fan events. It’s always really nice to meet people who watch the show. Our fans are the greatest fans ever!

10. What was your first day at OLTL like?

It was more than three years ago! I filmed in the Paris Cafe set. I was kind of nervous, but I was also really excited. I had a lot of fun during the Paris, Texas story. There was always good food, funny people, and crazy moments - including a pie fight!

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I feel really lucky to get to play Shane Morasco. He's been shot at twice, kidnapped twice, and survived asthma and leukemia. I never know what is going to happen next! The producers, directors, actors and crew all feel like a second family to me there, because they are all so nice. I hope that Shane will be hanging around Llanview for a long time.

Alina Foley portrayed Claire Brady on Days of our Lives from January 3 2008 through March 24 2008. This year her movie "The Spy Next Door" was released. She also continued in her role on the show "The League."
All questions are answered by Alina herself.

1. How exciting was it for Alina to attend her very own movie premiere?
It was really exciting. That was my very first movie. I had never done a movie. I got to see myself on a big screen. All the reporters were nice. It was fun and tiring to sign all those autographs.

2. Are there any funny or interesting memories from any of the shows she has worked on?
A bit too many to say, but doing harness work and flipping was fun.

3. When Alina was on Days, what was it like working with Peter Reckell
(Bo), Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Drake Hogestyn (John), and Deidre Hall (Marlena) as their granddaughter?

It was really fun. We spent a lot of time together even when we weren't shooting.

4. Was Alina ever able to spend time backstage with Brandon Beemer (Shawn) and Martha Madison (Belle)?
Yes, a lot of time. They were really fun.

5. Which does Alina prefer: TV or movies?
I prefer movies. I love doing movies.

6. How did Alina enjoy filming the Halloween scenes for The League?
I loved filming the Halloween scenes. Especially because I got to meet the monkey.

7. What was Alina's favorite scene to film for The Spy Next Door?
I loved filming the scenes where I got to flip or do harness-work. But, the whole movie was a lot of fun.

8. Does Alina continue to keep in contact with Madeline and Will?
Will and I go to the same school now and we also see Maddie whenever we can. We are all still friends. We even went to the Karate Kid premiere together.

9. How did Alina enjoy working with animals on The League and in The Spy Next Door?
I love animals so I love working with them whenever I can.

10. How does Alina prepare her lines?
My mom and I usually read them together first and then I usually have them memorized so we just rehearse them a few times.

Today we have our Q&A with McKenzie Westmore held earlier in the fall. McKenzie played the role of Marty and James' mom Sheridan Crane on Passions. In addition, she also held the role of Annie's psychiatrist Dr. Sinclair on All My Children last year. Don't forget to follow her on Twitter and stop by and add her to Facebook

1. How did you enjoy working with Nicole Cox?

Nicole was an anomaly in many ways. I never really had any scenes with her but at times i would be on set watching the filming with her and was always amazed! Not only was she just perfect on set as a baby but grew into being a perfect little actress. she always listened and followed directions so well at such a young age.

2. What are some of the most challenging aspects of working with infants on set?

one of the most challenging aspects is timing. There are limits to the time they can work (and rightfully so) but it does make scheduling a challenge.

3. How did you enjoy working with Daniel Chalfa and Seth Stern?

Daniel and Seth were also great kids to work with! All the Passions kids were fantastic!!

4. What was the most challenging part of filming the scenes of Marty's birth?

The hardest part of filming martys birth more than anything for me was the fact that I had been pregnant and miscarried my own child not too long before that scene was filmed. it was wonderful holding a beautiful baby but difficult at the same time.

5. When there were twins on set were you able to tell the kids apart?

I could never tell the twins apart! I was so bad at that! lol!

6. What has been your favorite scenes you've done involving one of the kids?

too many to name!

7. When on All My Children, did you get a chance to meet any of the children such as Lucy who played Annie's daughter Emma?

I did meet Lucy and she was a living doll! so adorable and just sweet as could be!

8. Did you ever get to meet Rylee Fransler who played Young Sheridan?

I did and also Sara Paxton.

9. What has been one of the funniest moments you can remember when working with children on set?

I remember one of the kids was in a Church scene with us and heard a noise and said "who farted?". that happened actually several times with the kids and it was funny every time!

10. Have you ever gotten a chance to see any of the kids since Passions ended, at events or other projects etc.?

no, I have not. Just Facebook with Sara Paxton.

We'd like to thank McKenzie for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

Lucy Merriam played the part of "Emma Lavery" on All My Children from 2006 to 2010 when the show moved to LA. All questions are answered by Lucy herself.

1. Do you plan on doing some more acting?

I don't have an agent. I haven't been sure what I want to do. I would definitely like to come back to All My Children, even if I had to fly back and forth. I took a nice long break, but am eager to get started again. My mom says you can't throw a switch, so I don't know if I will get another job.

2. Does Lucy still see any of the other children from
AMC?

We all live in different cities. I see them on Facebook (their moms). I hope we can have a reunion some day. Maybe we can work together again.

3. What was the hardest part about filming the storyline surrounding Stuart and Adam last year?

The hardest was not telling the secret. The show gave me a tutor, which was more fun than school. I also had an acting coach to help me remember all the lines. I didn't really get to see the whole story, just my lines. And it is always fun to work with friends. I didn't realize what was going on until I saw the shows a month later.

4. Does Lucy like TV, movies or print work better?

All My Children was a lot of work if I had a lot of lines. If it was just saying "Hi, Daddy", it was fun. The movie was fun because it was mostly playing with the two boys and the dogs I acted with. With the show, you are always working. With the movie, it is mostly waiting. The easiest is the print work. You get to wear cool clothes and go cool places. My family did a shoot together in Jamaica and for Benetton, I got to model with the cutest, cutest, cutest baby sheep. And you don't have to remember any lines. The food is much better, especially if the company is Italian. Oh, and the food--the movie had lots of candy bars on the set. There was a lot more waiting for the movie. They took a long time to set up scenes. And you did them again and again. For AMC, I would do six scenes after school. For the movie, it was once scene all day. I learned how to play Uno on Marley & Me

5. What was Lucy's favorite set to film on at AMC?

The mansion scene was the most fun. You could run up the stairs and end up nowhere. Plus there was a secret door. I also liked waiting behind the fireplace in the penthouse. I couldn't believe it when they took it all apart and packed it away the last day. It didn't seem real that I would never be back there.

6. How did Lucy enjoy getting to work with Alex Ben and Caleb?

I could not tell the boys apart. I liked to watch how their mom and dad took care of them. It was so organized. She put a bib on each one and then fed them in a row like a machine.

7. How did Lucy enjoy working with Rory and Declan? Alexa?

Declan and Rory are easy to tell apart. They talk differently. And Alexa was my best friend on the show. She even invited me to her birthday once. She has great toys that she brings to the set.

8. How did Lucy like working Melissa Claire Egan and David Canary?

Melissa is fun to talk with. She has a crush on my brother, so we talk about how cute he is. And David is like a professional grandpa. He is always cheery and calls me sweetie. I guess I was supposed to be afraid of him, and that was pretty much impossible.

9. What was Lucy's last day at AMC like?

I didn't know it was my last day. It was just like a regular day and then my mom asked after my scene was done if I was scheduled to shoot more. Everyone was kind of surprised, even Cameron. I guess I am glad I didn't know because it might have been hard to do the scene. When I found out I was leaving the show, I cried and cried until Cameron called me on the phone.

10. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of Lucy's scenes?

One time Jonathan dropped me on my head. It wasn't funny at the time, but later I laughed. It is hard to know what was the funniest because it was almost always fun. I almost barfed on Jackson. I was doing the red dress show and it was late. I guess I looked funny and he came up to ask if I was okay. I said I felt fine, then I puked. He jumped out of the way in the nick of time. I ended up missing the whole rest of the shoot that week. I remember fans being mad at Ryan for not seeing me. But it was not his fault. Emma couldn't go to the studio because I was home sick barfing with a fever. They could not wait on the scenes until I was better, so they went on without me. I felt bad for Ryan because Emma was supposed to have more scenes with him.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

JR [Martinez] is super nice. He talked to me before our scene and asked if I would get freaked out by his scars. I told him I would never do that. I am a big supporter of the military. I got interested when I saw the Blue Angels. I just got back from an event honoring Navy SEALs in Florida. I got to interview a Navy SEAL dog named Arras. I am asking my mom to post the video if the Navy approves it. The SEAL dogs are doing lots of work in Afghanistan and are saving lives. What scared me the most was seeing JR's fake scar when I first started. I was three and didn't understand that he wasn't really hurt. I really miss the people you don't see. I spent most of my time with the nurses Sister Noreen, Cathy, and Jada. They are my best, best friends and I miss them every day.

Stephanie Schmahl has been in the role of "Bree Brennan" for over 2 years now. When she was cast she was new to daytime but quickly showed everyone her talent while taking a part in her on screen mother's storyline which included a baby swapping/kidnapping storyline.

1. Do you enjoy working on OLTL?

Stephanie loves working at OLTL. She wasn’t called in for a couple of months and she kept asking me when she was going. The whole cast and crew is wonderful and makes her feel very special and comfortable.

2. Is Stephanie able to hang out with the Sullivan girls at all anymore?

Stephanie hasn’t filmed with the Madeline, Molly and Tess in a long time. She loves to watch them on OLTL and see how big they have grown.

3. Is Stephanie excited to get to play a big sister again?

Stephanie is very excited to be a big sister again. She is hoping for a sister.

4. Does Stephanie ever get recognized by OLTL fans?

Stephanie never was recognized by fans. She is very modest and won’t let us tell anyone either. She is very proud of herself, but as she gets older she doesn’t want to be singled out.

5. How does Stephanie like working with Brian Kerwin and Erika Slezak?

Stephanie loves working with both Brain and Erika. Erika is such a great person. She goes out of her way to play with Stephanie.

6. How did Stephanie like getting to work with Austin Williams?

She loves to film with Austin Williams. She recently filmed the Christmas episode with him. Austin is very sweet with Stephanie.

7. What have been Stephanie's favorite scenes to do this year?

Stephanie favorite scene was the episode where she was in the plane coming home from the ranch with Austin Williams (Shane), Bob Woods (Bo) and Hillary B. Smith (Nora).

8. How does Stephanie prepare for her lines?

Usually, I would read the scene to Stephanie and she would memorize the line by listening. My husband and I will take turns being the characters and Stephanie will say her lines. However, Stephanie is now in 1st grade and quickly learning to read. So when we receive her script she will now read her lines to us.

9. How does Stephanie pass the time backstage in between blocks/scenes?

Stephanie loves going into the hair/makeup room. She will talk to all the actors and just watch them get their makeup done. She will also walk around the studio and visit with anyone that has their dressing room door open. However, for the most part, the crew and actors at OLTL are so prepared and organized that we usually don’t have much waiting time at the studio. Once we arrive, Stephanie is fitted in her outfit and then has her hair done, by this time she is called on set for rehearsal and then filming. It is the very rare occasion that she has to wait to be called on set.

10. How does Stephanie like working with Mark Lawson?

Stephanie adores both Mark Lawson and Bree Williamson. They both will keep her occupied on set and make her feel very comfortable. I have to say that Bree Williamson is a beautiful person both inside and out. Bree will take the time to make sure Stephanie is aware of everything going on and that she is prepared. She treats Stephanie as a six year should be treated. As a parent, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that.

Today we have our Q&A with Christina Bennett Lind held earlier in the fall. Christina plays the role of Miranda and Gabrielle's mom Bianca on All My Children. Don't forget to follow her on Twitter and join her official Facebook Fanpage

1. How do you enjoy working with Mackenzie?

I love working with Mackenzie! She's fun and playful and we get along incredibly well, I think. She feels like family to me, like a younger sister or something, and I love that she’s not afraid to play with me on set! She showed me the coolest high-five the other day that I’ll definitely use in the future; maybe Michael Nouri would high-five with me?

2. How do you enjoy working with Aerowyn [Ellah]?

I don’t have as much time with Aerowyn [Ellah], but also so sweet and professional. I love the days I get with the kids!

3. How did you enjoy working with Jake (Spike)?

Jake (Spike) is wonderful. He seems totally unafraid to be himself, and I imagine even though kids are quite good at that, the cameras would affect him. But they don’t! He just plays! I watched him giggle so hard on set the other day that everyone working pretty much melted. He’s just having so much fun, and he reminds us to make ‘fun’ a priority.

4. Have you gotten to meet/work any of the other AMC kids?

So far, I haven’t worked with too many other kids, but I hope they can continue to be a part of my job.

5. How do you find the scene changes when a child is involved?

The scene changes when kids are around because it lightens us up and makes each character a tiny bit more fun! I think it brings out a very special side in the adults on-set, and we all soften a little and are a bit more open to spontaneity and improvisation.

6. Do you have any funny stories from on or off set that involve any of the kids?

The boy who plays Ian was a bit past his naptime once shoot day and he was meant to be playing with Spike, but he just wanted to snooze. I held him while we were blocking and started to feel him falling asleep in my arms and, knowing that any child woken up will be disoriented and disinterested in ‘making a television show,’ I just kept rocking and swaying so he would let himself sleep. Just before we started taping, he woke out of his daydream and really just wanted his mom, who was on hand. He ended up having to be ‘napping’ because he was so beside himself, he couldn’t be in the scene. It was sad but it just reminded us that we are working with kids who have very set schedules and sometimes don’t care about television! They just want their nap!

7. Do you find that any challenges arise when working with younger children on set?

I guess answer 6 would be a problem that can arise, as our shoot days are hardly predictable, but it’s also the joy of working with kids. I suppose when young babies are crying that can be a problem, but I haven’t worked with any little ones yet so I have only seen the utmost professionalism in these children so far.

8. Did you have any concerns coming into the role knowing 'Bianca' had two children?

I wasn’t concerned about Bianca’s having two children because I worked as a nanny in New York for a time and I have lots of experience with kids and, especially, kids away from their moms. I was actually looking forward to them being around. I assumed it would help me play and let go of any pressure I was feeling about playing Bianca in the beginning.

9. Have you given any advice to Mackenzie or other children on set?

I haven’t given any advice, no! They know what they’re doing. I once gave Spike a little nudge to go run to his mom, but it was only because he was so excited about the toy he was meant to be playing with. I understood completely.

10. What would you like to see happen next year for Bianca and her girls?

Of course, I would like to see Bianca and her girls reunite with their other mom, Reese. I think single-parenting is one of the hardest things I can imagine doing, so I would guess that Binx needs a break…I also think it’s important to explore what happens for kids when their parents are having problems, and it would be great to see what kind of perspective Miranda and Gabby can show us about that experience.

We'd like to thank Christina for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

Emily Alyn Lind played the role of "Emma Lavery" on All My Children earlier this year, and has since gone on to film numerous movies and television shows. Her older sister Natalie has also been seen this year on shows such as Flashpoint and iCarly. All questions answered by the girls themselves.

1. What has been Emily's and Natalie's favorite role(s) to play?

Emily: My favorite role of all time was probably "young Linda" in Enter The Void because it was my first really big project and I was so excited about being an actress. Also I worked with a director named Gaspar Noe. He spoke French, but for some reason we communicated so well. He had a great big heart and he was like a kid. He was a great guy to have as a first director. BUT, every single role I've played has been special for different reasons.

Natalie: My favorite role was Alexis on Flashpoint. It was very demanding but it was so much fun! I was chased by killers all over Toronto. There was ALOT of crying and screaming. I was drained by the end of the week, but I was so sad it was over. Because we were on location, we stayed in a hotel in downtown Toronto. I love working away from home - it's a little like being on vacation while you work.

2. What was Emily's experience like on set of November Christmas?

Doing November Christmas was extra special because I felt so much for my character. I've been healthy my whole life and I learned during this movie what it's like for children who have to live with illness. I started my "love fund" during this movie. Whenever I work, I collect money on the set for Make a Wish Foundation. On the set of Haunting in Georgia I've already raised 600 dollars.

3. Were the girls on set together for Flashpoint and what was it like for them to work on the same project?

Emily: It is always sooo great to work with my sister, Natalie. My mom loves it because she doesn't have to choose which one of us to be with! It was really great when we played sisters in Blood Done sign my Name because we didn't have to get to know each other. I want to get a movie that my WHOLE family can be in and my Dad can direct!

Natalie: It was so cool that Emily played "me" as a little girl. We've never thought that we looked alike but the producers thought it would work. It was the second time that we worked on the same project and we loved it. My mom likes that she doesn't have to choose who she's going to be with at work! It's great to work with your sister or someone that you already know really well because you don't have to go through that weird phase of getting to know each other when you get on set. "Hi! I'm your sister! Let's pretend that we really love each other!"

4. What was it like watching your Mom Filming on One Tree Hill? And how different was it when you got into acting rather than just watching your Mom Acting?

Emily: I loved watching my mom work on One Tree Hill. That's why I'm doing it now. I knew when I was 1 that I wanted to do what my Mom did. It's so great because right now I'm working with Chad Michael Murray who I already knew because of One Tree Hill. I was the first real baby he ever held SEVEN years ago! And now he's playing my Dad!

Natalie: My very first professional job was on "One Tree Hill". I was 5 years old - I was so excited and I think my Mom was a nervous wreck! But that's how my sister and I got started and we've been doing it ever since. I love watching my Mom work. She taught us everything about acting and about being on set. All of us love to work. It's great if my Mom is working and we're on set, or if we're working and my Mom is on set. We just all want to be together. We all learn from each other.

5. How does Emily enjoy working on multiple projects?

One time when I was 5, I worked all night until 3 in the morning in Toronto, then flew to South Carolina to the set and worked ALL day until evening, then got back on a plane, flew all night BACK to Toronto to work all day again. And I loved it! My Mom said she knew then that I would do this forever.

6. What's different about working on TV shows compared to movies?

Emily: I love movies and TV. The only thing I don't like about movies is that you have to wait so long to see them! And by then, you're a whole year older!

Natalie: Movies move more slowly. You get to spend more time on each scene. You have to be really prepared for both, but you might get a few more takes working on a movie. An episode of a TV show usually shoots in 8 days, so you have to be ready to move fast. I'm about to shoot "Wizards of Waverly Place". That's a whole different process! You rehearse like a play all week, then you shoot in front of a live audience. It's so exciting to hear the reaction right away - instead of watching it in your living room 3 months later.

7. Does Emily miss the AMC set?

I dont' think I've ever missed anything more in my life! I wish I could do All my Children until I'm 99! But I'm really lucky right now because I'm doing a lot of movies and whenever I'm working I'm really happy. I know how lucky I am.

8. Has Natalie given her little sister any advice on acting?

I started doing this first, when she was 3...so we used to play a game where I was the director and I would give Emily notes on her scenes and tell her to be different characters. We would practice hitting our marks and we would make little movies. Now Emily and I do the same thing with our little sister, Aly. We rehearse our auditons, then Aly repeats all the lines. It's amazing! She's really good!!!!

9. What has been the girls favorite towns to travel to for a project?

Natalie: I just fell in love with Halifax. I worked on Emily's movie "November Christmas" and I had extra time because Emily was so busy. I learned how to deep sea fish and took horse back riding lessons and dance lessons. When one of us gets a job out of town, we all try to go. My mom thinks it's important to keep us all together. So our trip to Halifax was great because I did a role in the movie, but I got to have fun the rest of the time. We have a lot of relatives in Halifax that I never met so that was neat and the city is sooo pretty!

10. How did Emily enjoy getting to work with Cameron, Melissa, Adam, Brittany and Tate?

Cameron, Melissa, EVERYBODY is so nice on All My Children! I keep in touch with Rebecca and she has been doing so great on Skating with the Stars! I've been working so I had to tivo it, but I can't wait to see if she wins. I hope she does! Guess what I asked for for Christmas? A Susan Lucci silk robe!

Tate Berney plays the role of "AJ Chandler" on All My Children. Tate first aired in February of this year. Questions are answered by Tate himself.

1. How did/does Tate like working with Emily and Danielle?

They are both fun to work and play with. I get to work more with Danielle than I did with Emily.

2. Do you enjoy working with the cast of AMC?

A big "YES"! Because they are always so nice to me and because they are always saying "dude Tate, you did such a good job!"

3. Does Tate have a preference between doing print and television?

I like doing both. They are both fun, just different. One I have to learn lines for and the other I don't. If I had to just choose one though I would pick television.

4. Has Tate done any work with any of his brothers? If not would he like too?

I have done print jobs with my brother Tanner. It's cool to have pictures of us together. It would be fun to work with my older brothers Christian and Chase too cause they are so fun and I love them so much.

5. What's the biggest different between doing a project like Gap vs All My Children?

The biggest difference is that with All My Children I have to learn lines and with print jobs I don't. They are both fun especially when I get to work with other kids!

6. How does Tate like working with Jacob, Melissa, Bobbie and Michael?

I love them all! Jacob is super fun and he always talks to me about cool things. Bobbie is a great grandma to work with because she gets to give me stuff when I work with her like chocolate shakes and cookies! Melissa is really nice to me but I haven't gotten to work with her that much. Michael (Caleb) is really fun and a cool guy and always makes us kids laugh. Michael (Tad) is really funny too especially when he talks in all his different accents!

7. How did Tate like attending his first fan weekend?

That was super fun. I really loved it because I've never actually been to a fan event before. My favorite part was when people asked me questions.

8. Is there anyone Tate would like to work with on set that he hasn't worked with yet?

I really want to work with Spike (Jake) because he is so funny and he's my best friend on the show!

9. How did Tate like working with Brittany and Adam?

They are both super fun and they were always saying that I did so awesome. I was really sad when they had to leave the show. I will also miss Finn a lot when he leaves. He always plays with me in the hallways of the dressing rooms. We have competitions and stuff!

10. What's been Tate's favorite episode to film?

I have 2. The Christmas episode because JR and Tad were so funny with the tree and made us all laugh really hard, and the Halloween episode because I got to work with almost all of the kids!

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I feel lucky that I am on All My Children because I get to work AND I still get to go to school, play with my friends, skateboard and play football. Plus my friends think its so cool!

5 Days 'Til Christmas
We have a brand new portion of our Q&A Event this year, and today, we are introducing everyone to this very exciting feature. We have been very fortunate to have actors from All My Children and Passions sit down and answer a few of our questions about working with the kids, and kids in the industry in general. Every day through to Dec. 25th, check back to find Q&A's not only with some of our favorite kiddos and their families, but also with some of the kids favorite adults!!

To kick us off, we have our Q&A with Meredith Patterson held earlier in the fall over Twitter. Meredith played the role of Zach's casino assistant Francesca on All My Children last year. She has also appeared on numerous television shows, and had roles in many Broadway productions. Don't forget to follow her on Twitter and join her official Facebook Fanpage

1. Have you ever gotten a chance to meet the actors who played the Slater kids backstage?

Yes I did they were very sweet!

2. Do you think that working with children in any type of project adds a different element?

Of course. Kids are good energy.

3. Did you ever want to have scenes that involved more interaction with the Slater family?

Yes, I always hoped for that.

4. Have you ever gotten to meet any of the other kid cast members behind the scenes?

Yes, when they were on set. All were lovely.

5. Do you recall any funny moments involving kids in the biz, whether it be backstage at AMC or working on another project?

Sure! Kids are always funny!

6. Do you find there to be a difference in working with kids in television projects versus theatre?

Theatre kids tend to be more disciplined cause there's no stopping. ;)

7. What do you think is/would be the hardest thing about working with young children?

It hard to see them tired. They should just be kids.

8. Is there a child actor out there, whether from AMC or just in the industry you think would be really fun to work with?

Loved working with @RaquelCastro! She was the best!

9. You started performing at a young age, is there any advice you have for for young talent?

Your career is a marathon not a sprint.

We'd like to thank Meredith for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

We try to make it fun as it is the least fun part of the job..we sing them sometimes and use different accents(JAmes and Nonno and our mums Scottish accent)

So much fun chasing the frogs and we loved that one.

Jake Vaughn took over the role of “Spike Lavery” on All My Children in 2010 when filming was moved to California. He can be seen in numerous print ad’s and recently filmed an episode of Glee.

1. How does Jake like working with Alicia (Kendall)?

Kendall is amazing and such a kind soul. She and Jake have a great bond and he LOVES working with her. She is definitely a natural working with kids.

2. Does Jake prefer doing print or tv work?

I think he likes doing TV the best, the hours are not as long and he likes all the interaction with everyone there. He has his favorite stage manager Michelle on AMC. He loves to work with her.

3. How did Jake like working with Lauren Boles on 'Glee'?

Lauren was great, it was kind of a crazy busy day so we didn't get to spend too much time with her. She is such a great little actress. Jake had a bit of a crush. :-)

4. What was it like for Jake at his first fan event? Was it weird to see people requesting Jake's autograph?

He had such a ball at the fan event! He was so grown up there, it was crazy to see my four year old sit on stage for 45 minutes then at a table for over two hours, and not complain once! It was surreal seeing people wait in line for his autograph, proud mommy. Everyone was so wonderful there, he loves his fans.

5. How does Jake like working with Thorsten and Cameron?

Jake misses Thorsten, he was so much fun for them to work with. Cameron and Jake are so cute together, they have a natural connection and make each other laugh. Jake had a funny scene with Cameron where he had to whisper something in his ear, he had no idea what to whisper and Cameron told him to whisper whatever he wanted. Rebecca was in the scene as well so he whispered, "Daddy Ryan, do you know there is a pretty girl standing in the room?"

6. How does Jake like working with Mackenzie, Britton and Aerowyn/Ellah?

The All My Children kids are the best! He and Britton are like real brothers, they play hard in the dressing rooms and share pretty nicely. Jake can be a bit protective of Britton, very sweet. He has fun doing scenes with Danielle, she is like a big sister to him and makes sure he is okay when they are off stage and waiting to go down stairs etc. He wants Tate to be his best friend, they are great together, typical boys. Mackenzie and Jake have a blast doing scenes together, she brings out some great belly laughs in him. Ellah is such a sweet, well behaved little girl. Always a joy to be around.

7. How did Jake enjoy his The Children's Place shoot?

The Children's Place shoot was fun, the wrangler that made the kids laugh was probably the funnest part!

8. How does Jake like working with Michael Nouri and Christina Lind?

Jake calls Michael, grandpa. He is like a big kid with Jake, so amazing with kids. Christina always goes out of her way to spend a little extra time with the kids, everyone loves her!

9. What has been your favorite project Jake has done, outside of AMC?

We have been so fortunate in all we have done! Glee definitely stands out. Sarah Silverman was a blast too, he was such a good sport!

10. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of Jake's scenes?

There have been so many fun days! I think one of the most memorable days was the Halloween episode. The scenes were so long and there was candy ALL OVER the set! The kids had to sit at this table and then their scene was shot, then they pan over to the adults. The kids had to sit at the table quietly. Jake proceeded to eat all the candy at the table. They wound up shooting six different scenes that day and candy is involved in all of them. By they fifth scene Jake was getting ready to walk through the door with Thorsten and Alicia and then said he needed to water right away, he came running over to me and then threw up all over the set. :-)

Anything else you'd like to add?

Jake just shot a Samsung commercial, it will air during the holidays at NY Times Square on the jumbotron. It is for a refrigerator, keep your eyes peeled for it! Very cute spot.

I would also like to thank Star-Kidz for the all they do for Jake, you are truly amazing.

Love,

Carolyn and Campbell Rose first aired as 'Allie Horton' on Days a little over a year ago. Aside from Days Carolyn has filmed a music video for Dave Barnes and Campbell an episode of Cold Case among other things.

1. How did Carolyn and Campbell like filming EJ and Sami's wedding?

Weddings are busy days in Salem. They are fun to shoot because we get to wear pretty dresses and sometimes heels :)

2. Is their anyone that the girls would like to work with who they haven't with yet?

We are 5 (6 in Feb :)) so we are just getting started on our list of things we want to do.

3. Do Carolyn and Campbell spend time backstage with Aaron and Griffin Kunitz when all four are on set the same day?

Yes, yes, and yes! The boys are almost like real brothers to us. We had Easter breakfast with them this year, even spend the night with them sometimes. The boys have 4 wii controls so we have alot of fun at their house!

4. Is one girl used more in scenes than the other, or do they film equally?

We choose who films. Depends on the scene and which one of us is feeling it.

5. What has been the girls favorite project to work on?

Days of course! Other shoots we have done are 1-2 days, but we've been on Days for a year and have made great friends there.

6. How did the girls enjoy filming Cold Case/ David Barnes music video?

Cold Case was fun, shooting on the beach....but the poor men whose job it was to throw buckets of water so it looked like the waves were hitting us!! That job was fun because they custom made a 70s looking swimsuit for us. It was fun to meet with the seamstress and do fittings.
Dave Barnes is one of the sweetest boys ever!! We played on the beach with him all day. We've been lucky to have 2 shoots that really were a day on the beach! For this video, we got to wear a dress our grandmother Carolyn gave us for our birthday.

7. What was the girls first day on the Days set like?

Days has a wonderful set teacher, Bobbie, that guides us through everything. So even though it was all new, she was there every step of the way.

8. How did the girls like working with Hailey and Lauren?

We LOVE the babies, but we didn't really get to work with them alot. Most of the baby scenes are filmed separately. Today we got to hold the Parker babies though and they are cuties! All smiles!

9. Do the girls have a favorite set to film on?

We are in Rafe's loft most of the time. It's a cool loft and we've gotten to help decorate it a little thanks to Mary the awesome prop lady. We've made artwork that you'll see from time to time on the frig and on tables.

10. How do the girls prepare their lines?

We have an acting coach, Karen Storms, we work with for important scenes. Her daughter Kristen, started on Days when she wasn't much older than us. We memorize really quickly and then work with her on the right timing and reactions. When we were younger, we would draw pictures of the scenes and that would help us remember the order of the reactions.

We'd like to thank the Rose family for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

Saoirse Scott portrayed the role of "Jamie Vega" on One Life To Live from 2005 to 2009. All questions were answered by Saoirse herself

1. How did Saoirse like filming the Chuckee E Cheese commercials?

It was a lot of fun shooting that commercial because I got to play in Chuck E. Cheese while working

2. What's it like to attend evens like Daytime Stars and Strikes and meet other soap actors and the fans?

It was fun and really really nice to get to see the other OLTL actors again. It was a lot of fun to meet with fans too.

3. How did Saoirse enjoy Shenell’s event?

I was never at a fan event before that Sunday so it was fun meeting fans face to face and it was nice getting to hang out with Shenell too

4. Does Saoirse ever get recognized places by OLTL fans?

A few times people have stopped me and said that they miss seeing Jamie Vega on OLTL

5. Has Saoirse kept in touch/ run into any of her OLTL co-stars?

Not really.

6. What was Saoirse's first day like at OLTL?

I was very nervous because I had never been on a tv show before, but I was excited too. Everyone was very nice to me so that made it easier.

7. What would Saoirse do to pass the time at OLTL in between blocks/scenes?

I usually had school work to do. I would spend time with the actors I was working with that day, like BethAnn or Patricia.

8. How does Saoirse prepare her lines?

I read them over and over to memorize and then go over them with my mom.

9. What was Saoirse's favorite set to tape on at OLTL?

The diner (because I usually got to eat ha ha)

10. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of Saoirse's scenes?

I really cant think of anything right now. I'll have to get back.

Zach and Chris Randazzo played the role of "Joey Jr" on Big Love last season. The boys have done many more projects including a recurring part on ABC's Cougar Town.

1. Is there anyway to tell the boys apart?

Yes, the boys’ hair naturally parts on opposite sides of their head. Their personalities are completely different too! One is definitely a Type A and the other a Type B. They complement each other well.

2. Did the boys ever have a chance to play with any of the other kids/babies on set of Big Love?

No, unfortunately not. Christopher and Zachary filmed most of their scenes at the “compound” in Agua Dulce, CA. When they were filming, it was usually with Chloe Sevigny, Shawn Doyle and Melora Walters. They also did a scene with Cassie Thomson and Željko Ivanek.

3. Do the boys miss being on set?

I know they really enjoyed it. They loved meeting new people and getting lots of attention. The cast and crew always complemented the kids for their sweet demeanor. However, I don’t think the boys even suspected that what they did was only “pretend.”

4. How did you feel when you found out your boys were going to be on a greeting card?

We thought it was an absolute riot. I immediately ordered boxes of the birthday cards from Palm Press and passed them out to friends and family.

5. Which print did the boys shoot that is used in Japan?

NHK Broadcasting purchased rights to a photograph taken of the children when they were 4 months old. It is a photograph of the two of them with a blue background behind them. You can see the photo on their Randazzo Twins facebook page. This photo has also been used in print magazines all over the world and was purchased by Microsoft for an ad campaign last year.

6. What was the experience like auditioning for the boys to play a young David Hasselhoff?

It was so much fun!! They boys were great and we had a blast dressing them up in their best beach gear.

7. What were your favorite Big Love scenes that the boys filmed?

I really liked the scene that they filmed with Cassie. It was a brief one, but it was very sweet to see her play and interact with the kids on the blanket with their toys. By the way, the toys used in these scenes belonged to Chris and Zach and you can see them use the same ones in scenes from Cougar Town. They always had their favorite trucks on set.

8. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of the boys scenes? (on any show)

I think the funnest memories I have are when we would take the boys to the food truck for snacks. We always bumped into “someone” like Courtney Cox or Bill Paxton, and it didn’t matter who they were, they always melted when they saw Chris and Zach getting their snacks. Jessica Lowndes from 90210 was so taken by Zachary she had us take a photo of her holding him on her cell phone.

9. How did the boys get in the business?

I sent some snapshots to a reputable baby agent in LA when they were 3 months old. Even as newborns, Chris and Zach loved the spotlight and it was so cute to see how they brought smiles to perfect strangers. Everyone who saw them loved them. Their agent immediately contacted us for representation and they booked their first print job with Target stores 1 month later.

10. What is an audition process like for the boys at their age?

It is very different now that they are older. When they were infants and very small, the auditions were brief and simple. Now, it is usually more involved and requires that the children “do” something, which can be more challenging when dealing with charismatic 2 year olds. We still audition regularly as roles present themselves and look forward to new opportunities in the future.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

We would like to thank everyone who enjoys watching Chris and Zach for your support, especially the Star-Kidz staff. Everyone has been so sweet to the kids!

Q&A Reminder
We really hate having to do this kind of post, but it has been brought to our attention that message board members for various couples and soaps have been taking our Q&A's and posting them on the boards directly, no link to them, no credit to us, nothing. We work very hard each year to organize this fun event for everyone, and the families work very hard to take the time to sit down and answer these questions for everyone to read. Right at the top of each Q&A it reads "Q&A is not to be duplicated elsewhere and claimed as their own.
STAR-KIDZ EXCLUSIVES
" Yet...people are ignoring that and duplicating it! We ask that people please link to these Q&A's if you would like to share with members of various forums. We think its great that people are sharing them with others who may not have had a chance to see them, but please....link to the Q&A (you can click on the character name below each post to provide a more direct link) and credit.

McKenna and Karleigh Larson portray the role of "Josslyn Jacks" on General Hospital. The girls have held the role for over a year now.

1. How did the girls like working with Franco?

They loved it .. and he was great with them. He really took his time in the scene and played to them. Some priceless looks from Karleigh especially in the stroller. And after every scene he let me snap a picture of them for the scrapbook so that will be neat for them to see.

2. What's it like to be part of a major storyline on a soap?

It is pretty interesting ... and it seems that we get to work with every bad man as they come back on the show ... first Franco ... then Franco again ... and now??? It just keeps everyone guessing about what will happen to the baby. Born in a cabin, threatened to be kidnapped, going to court for her brother, custody battle ... and they aren't even one yet. What a year it's been.

3. Do the girls have a preferred person to work with?

No .... unless you count the "little blue bunny." He is in every scene!

4. Do the girls get to spend time with any of the other kids backstage?

Oh yes .. and are always fun distractions for those who should be in school.

5. How do the girls like working with Aaron Sanders?

They love it. He is great with them ... and now that they are walking it is just MADNESS in the green room.

6. What have been your favorite scenes the girls have filmed this year?

Of course the scenes with Franco, the Halloween episode was fun! But I would have to say almost every scene is fun just because the costume department dresses the girls so CUTE!!!

7. How did the girls like filming the Halloween scenes? Did they like the costume?

LOVED IT! They especially liked trying on the flower hat in front of the mirror then running down the hall showing off! Good times!

8. Have the girls gotten to work with Vanessa Marcil?

Not yet and being that our "mom" doesn't care for Brenda ... I don't think "mom" will let us meet any time soon. But she is very gracious when we meet in the halls.

9. How did they enjoy filming their scene with Robin Christopher (Skye)?

They had fun but that was also when the girls wore their first pair of shoes EVER ... so it was tough competition

10. What was it like doing the holiday photoshoot with Drew and Aaron last year for the family holiday scenes?

It was fun. Wish we got a copy .. but also sad cause we don't work with those two anymore and they were REALLY great to work with ....hope we get to do a new one with the family this year! It's always fun for the scrapbooks and to see how they grow ... It is always a blast filming at Christmas Time. The set really gets dolled up and everyone is soooo festive and in a joyous mood.

Anything else you'd like to add?
It just has been a lot of fun and a great way to document the two growing up. It certainly has been an eventful year on and off set ... can't wait to see what they have in store for "our family" in 2011. We always love working ... so we hope to work more with our family too.Should be fun! So keep watching! : )

He was to young to remember Kali but he liked playing with her.

Braden said that the difference between old navy and GH is that Old Navy took a very long time to film.

4. Has Braden done more commercials outside the Old Navy one?

Old Navy was his only commercial.

5. How does Braden enjoy working with Davin, the Nigbor twins, and Adrian and Brett (Aidan)?

Ellah Miller currently portrays the role of "Gabrielle Montgomery" on All My Children. She first aired in July of this year, and it is her first job.

1. How does Ellah like working with Christina Lind?

Ellah adores Christine Lind, she makes her feel so comfortable on set. She calls Christina her "pretend mommy on the show" and she likes the fact that they both have similiar names because Ellah's middle name is Christine.

2. How does Ellah like working with Mackenzie?

Ellah loves working with Mackenzie! She is like a big sister to Ellah and Mackenzie is one of the reasons why Ellah loves the show so much so she can go and play with Mackie. There is a lot of down time so it's great that they can keep each other entertained.

3. How does Ellah enjoy working with Jake and Britton?

Unfortunately Ellah doesn't see too much of Jake and Britton because they usually film on different days or different hours of the day but when they do see each other it's great because all the kids get along so well.

4. How did you feel when you found out Ellah would be playing Erica Kane's granddaughter?

Finding out that Ellah would be playing Erica Kane's grandaughter was so exciting especially to be a part of the Kane family!

5. What was Ellah's first day on set like?

The first day on AMC we didn't know what to expect since it was also Ellah's first job. Luckily we met Mackenzie and her mom right away. The girls were able to get to know each other which made it easier for Ellah once she had to go on set. Since she is so little I didn't know if she would freak out on set but she did a great job.

6. How did Ellah like her costume for the Halloween episode?

At first Ellah loved her costume because of the tutu and she likes the color green but after wearing it for a few hours the headpiece started to itch her but she got through it!

7. Is there a particular cast member you hope Ellah will get the chance to work with?

I don't think there is one particular cast member because everyone is so nice on the show I think it would be great to work with any of the other cast members.

8. How did Ellah get in the industry?

I sent Ellah's pictures to a few different agencies till one called me back!

9. What was it like filming the thanksgiving episode(s)?

The Thanksgiving episode was a little different then most because their was a lot of people that day on set and they had to keep doing some scenes over and over and it's also an emotional episode.

10. Has Ellah seen herself on TV?

Yes Ellah has seen herself on TV she points to the TV and says "that's me on my show."

Is there anything else you would like to add?

We are so lucky to be a part of AMC, we have met some great people and as long as Ellah is excited about going then we hope to keep doing it!

'Shake It Up's' Bella Thorne dishes on leaving 'Big Love' and 'Twilight's' Taylor Lautner
When you see Bella Thorne, you may recognize her as Bill Henrickson's (played by Bill Paxton) daughter, Teenie on "Big Love," but she has left the world of polygamous Utah to move into her new home, Disney Channel's "Shake It Up."

"'Big Love' was really fun," Thorne tells Zap2it. "I got to learn from all the actors. They were amazing, unbelievable actually. I'm so thankful to be able to work with them, but I work every day on ['Shake It Up'], so the scheduling doesn't work out. It made me so sad."

Yet, the gamble was a good one for the 13-year-old with Disney Channel reporting that "Shake It Up" ranks No. 1 among its target demographic - tweens between nine to 14-years-old.

Thorne plays CeCe, who along with her bestie, Rocky (played by Zendaya Coleman) get the chance to live out their dream when they land spots as backup dancers on a local show called "Shake It Up, Chicago." Consequently, the two have to keep up with both the competition and pressure on the show as well as their changing social status as school.

Thorne landed the gig with very little training in dance, so she only started dance classes last November for the role. "It was really hard," she says. "During our hiatus, I kept going to dance classes working with [our choreographer]. So, now it's not as much of a struggle for me as it was. I've just been getting better every episode."

Don't look now, but Bella Thorne is quickly becoming Disney's new breakout star. Get to know her:

Actress she most looks up to: "Natalie Portman. She went to college and she's been working since she was little and she chose the right career path. She is amazing."

Favorite TV show: "'The Vampire Diaries.' It would be so cool if Ian Somerhalder guest starred on 'Shake It Up.' CeCe loves vampires!"

Team Edward or Team Jacob?: "Taylor Lautner played my brother on 'My Own Worst Enemy,' so I kind of can't like him because that would be weird. So, I would have to say both. Why can't they just stop fighting? Just be friends. By the way, Taylor Lautner is so funny. He's such a great actor and he's so nice, and he's really ticklish, too!"

"Shake It Up" airs Sundays at 8:30 p.m. ET on The Disney Channel.

STAR-KIDZ EXCLUSIVES

Haley Pullos currently portrays Molly on General Hospital. Her first episode aired in July of 2009. All questions are answered by Haley herself.

1. Have you hung out with Vanessa (Brenda) at all?
No. But I really wish we had. Though, we did run into each other on the stairs -- I just finished shooting my scenes and she was rushing up to the stage to shoot her scenes and we very nearly collided with each other. Vanessa had just enough to time to say, "Sorry, honey!" before rushing away. I could tell that she was really concerned too. Later, I thought, "Wow! That was Vanessa!!"

2. Which do you prefer: TV, movies, or commercials?
That's a tough one. Some TV shows are shot the same way that movies are shot, with a single camera. But then you have shows like GH that uses at least four cameras at one time. And, of course, the more cameras you have, the faster you can finish a scene. So, I guess I like single camera shoots a little more, because then I get to act for a longer period of time. If only GH would let me shoot 30 scenes a day -- that'd be so cool! :-)

3. How did you enjoy working with Lexi during the abuse storyline?
Lexi is the most amazing person -- and I'm not just saying this, I really mean it. She such an great actress. And I feel as though I'm a better performer when I get to play off of her energy. The abuse scenes are a really good example. Because Lexi is so good and because her makeup was so authentic, it was very easy to let the tears flow and imagine that I was in the moment. I'm not sure I could have done as well without Lexi.

4. Does Lexi ever give you any tips on acting?
Not really. But, because we sometimes rehearse together, I wouldn't be surprised if she makes subtle changes to her delivery based on the way I do mine. That's what I do with almost everyone I'm in a scene with.

5. Is there anyone you'd like to share the screen with in the future?
Johnny Depp. I really want to be cast in the new Dark Shadows movie!!!

6. Do you miss working with Aaron Refvem? and how do you like working with Aaron Sanders?
I really miss Aaron Refvem. In addition to being cast-mates, we were pretty good friends and our parents were pretty close too. Sadly, we've both been busy with other things and we haven't been able to connect in a while. But we will soon. And I love working with Aaron Sanders. He's another great actor and he's very sweet too.

7. What was the experience like filming the Burger King commercial?
It was a lot fun -- although the shoes they gave me were a little too small. But I barely noticed because I was having so much fun.

8. How do you like working with Carolyn?
In a word: FANTASTIC! Carolyn is the sweetest, funniest person. I always look forward to doing a scene with Carolyn or just getting to hang out with her for a little while.

9. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of your scenes?
Well, on the set of Dollhouse, Joss Whedon, the director, was telling me that he was a huge fan of the Simpsons. And, that day, we just happen to be filming in a sound stage that had the Simpsons characters decorating the outside of the building. So, at lunch, I went over to the Fox gift shop and bought Joss a baseball hat with a Duff Beer logo on it. When I gave it to Joss, he thanked me and said, "Oh, look a hat with a beer on it. I'd rather have a beer with a hat on it." Everyone around us started laughing and I did too, he's so funny. But what was really surprising was that the first assistant director told me that Joss doesn't really like to wear hats, but he wore my hat all that day.

10. What was your favorite set of scenes to film for GH this year?
Any scene that I get to do with Steve Burton is automatically placed among my favorites because I love how big and tough Jason is so affected by little Molly. So, this year's favorite scene has to be the one where Molly comes close to ordering a hit on Mr. Bauer. And, because of the mob enforcer's high moral standards about right and wrong, Molly is set straight.

We'd like to thank Haley and her family for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

Molly & Madeline & Tess Sullivan were one of the first sets of babies cast in the role of 'Hope Thornhart', then Chloe Brennan. Now, more than 2 years later, they are the only kids in the role.

1. How do the girls like working with Kelley (Dani)?

She is a sweetheart and always takes time to play with the girls behind the scenes. I will never forget how great she was to Molly during the kidnapping scenes when they were in the car being held at gunpoint by Eli that were getting scary. As soon as they said "cut", she'd be laughing and smiling with Molly to lighten the mood and make her feel comfortable and then the next minute she would have to switch back to her character and act out these intense scenes. The Director was actually yelling at her over the loudspeaker to "get in character" and be serious but even at her young age she realized the importance of keeping Molly comfortable and not letting her get scared and I was so grateful that she was being so unselfish and putting Molly before her work.

2. Do the girl enjoy working with the Cast of OLTL?

Yes, they do love being there and being around all the people.

3. How did the girls like filming the ice cream scenes (they happened outside in June)?

Only Molly got to taste the ice cream! She was doing so well with the scenes that they did not need to switch the babies so Madeline and Tess were off dipping their feet and legs in the reservoir playing around while Molly was working.

4. Is their anyone you would like for the girls to work with more or who they've never worked with?

Hmm..not really, I am so happy we work so much with Kristin (Starr) and the younger cast. I like this question though, it made me think about it. It would be fun to shoot some scenes with Kim Zimmer.

5. When the girls are part of a major storyline, do they get used equally or are they chosen based on mood or the scene requirement?

They are chosen purely based on mood and over the last year that has proven to be Molly most consistently. She seems the most comfortable with it and voices that she wants to do it.

6. Do the girls miss working with Brandon Buddy?

They are so young that they don't realize he is gone so much but I do miss him..he was so sweet to the girls.

7. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of the girls scenes?

They were potty trained in September but accidents still happen and we soiled a costume one day. It wasn't really all that funny though. One time when the girls were really young, one of them (forget which one it was) looked right at Brandon Buddy and said "Dada". This was when they were first learning to talk. I guess he does kind of look like their real Dad. Oh and I also remember when one of them spit up all over Natalie (Melissa Archer) when they were really young. The crew really got a kick out that one.

8. What was it like filming the kidnapping storyline?

It was a little too violent and unsettling for me and my girls and it started to affect Molly's enthusiasm for going on set so we are glad it is over.

9. How did the girls like working with Nicolas Robuck (James) and Meghann Fahy (Hannah)?

They are both very sweet as well and treat the girls great.

10. What was the girls first day on set like?

Wow, I barely remember it seems like a lifetime ago and considering they were only 4 months ago, I was getting very little sleep then. But, I remember being shown around the building (which is just a dirty, basic office space) and walked to our dressing room where we were introduced to the baby nurse. I remember there being some coffee and bagels/pastries but other than that it was not at all as glamorous as I had thought it might be. It was hectic trying to balance feedings, bottles/breastfeeding and 3 naps a day around taping and commuting to NYC!

My Day My Life: Bella Thorne
Bella Thorne, the newbie who’s currently starring on Disney’s fun new dance show, “Shake It Up,” has got a busy schedule these days — and our cameras were there to catch it all. In this behind-the-scenes look at a day in Bella’s life, we caught her running lines with her cute castmates, shopping at The Grove with co-star Zendaya Coleman, and hanging out in her very own dressing room. All in a day’s work for a TV star, right?!
And Bella even confessed a major secret to us — she’s dyslexic! Would you ever had known?!

Camille & Kate Schwary were the last set of twins to play "Jane Winthrop" on Passions. Unfortunately the show was canceled not to long after the girls landed the role.

1. Which of the girls were first to be seen as Jane and who was the last?

Funny enough, Camille was the first one to be seen as Jane and Kate was the last one to be filmed. They were sad it ended and would frequently say they wanted to go to LA after it ended.

2. Did the girls prefer one actor over another?

Every actor on Passions was friendly and overly kind to the girls so they never seemed intimidated by anyone, but Colton was by far their favorite!

3. How did the girls enjoy working with their 'older' brother Colton?

Colton was amazing with the girls. He interacted so well with them and always was so sweet and playful. They would look forward to seeing Colton everytime we went to film. We even spent time with Colton and his family outside of the set. They came down and had a beach day with us.

4. Did the girls get to play with any of the other children on set?

Usually it was only Colton they would film with. There were a few times that Nicole was there or Sinqua.

5. Have the girls done any work besides Passions?

Kate and Camille did an ad for Macy's that was shot in Palm Springs. Passions was their 3rd audition ever so we were very fortunate that they got the role of Baby Jane. We have since moved to Northern California so we don't have easy access to Los Angeles. So their acting careers have been put on hold. They love to watch the episodes they were in either on YouTube or iTunes.

6. How did you feel when you found out the girls were casted?

We were so excited that they got the role, but since it was our first experience with acting we weren't sure what it would all be like..Excitement and curiosity...Luckily, everyone on related to Passions was so kind and helped with any questions.

7. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of the girls scenes?

There was a short time when Camille was getting hives head to toe out of the blue..The Dr.'s explained it as idiopathic hives with no real allergies showing up in her tests. She was all dressed and ready to go on set and all of a sudden we would see some hives start to pop up on her cheeks.

8. What was the girls audition for Passions like?

The audition process was very relaxed. We were called to audition at The Passions casting office on the CBS Radford lot. It was a rather quick audition..We went in and they just visited with Kate and Camille and us(their mom and dad)..I'm sure that when they are looking to cast children, they probably are looking to see that the parents are pretty laid back as well since they will be dealing so much with them.

9. How did the girls like working with Lindsay and Eric?

Lindsay and Eric were just so great to work with. I think the fact that they both had little children of their own helped quite a bit. They were always extra nice to Kate and Camille and would even act playful with them off the set. When Lindsay played the part of the Nanny, she was worried that the girls would not recognize her and that they may be scared or uncomfortable with her appearance. So she had us arrive a little earlier so she could show them that it was still her and that she was just wearing a costume.

10. What was it like filming the wedding scenes?

The wedding scenes were fun because there were so many people. They loved their Grandmother on the show, Pilar and they got to really spend on camera time with her and Colton so it was fun. They also loved the flower girl dresses so getting dressed for those scenes was easy. They did get blisters though from the flower girl shoes which wasn't so great!

Carmen LoPorto plays the role of "Jack Manning" on One Life to Live. His first appearance was back in 2007.

1. How do you like working with Kelley (Dani)?

I haven't really worked with her a lot so far, but what I have done, she is really great to work with. It's comfortable. I hope that they write more scenes with her.

2. What is your favorite part about being on OLTL?

I love the character of Jack and I hope that he gets a good storyline in the future. The actors are all talented and very nice. The writers have been really exciting lately.

3. What's it like to work with Trevor and Kassie and the little kids?

Both Kassie and Trevor on set are so funny to work with. When I worked with the twins Luke and Jacob they got along with me really well. I love to work with Kristen and Kelley too!

4. Do you prefer to film movies or TV shows?

I like to film them both, but I like them for different reasons. I love shooting One Life because it feels like a family.

5. What was your favorite part of filming a horror film?

The whole experience was my favorite. I have never done a horror film before. The actors we great to work with and the cast and crew were amazing. I think my favorite part was having to put on the special effects make up everyday of shooting. Working with the director/writer was great too!

6. How was it filming Pride & Glory? Did you know your co-star
Ty played your character Jack as a baby?

It was fun shooting that film although it was only a small part in the movie. It was great to meet and work with Colin Farrell, Ed Norton, Jon Voight and Noah Emerich. The other kids were nice too. No I didn't know about Ty while I was shooting the film.

7. Did you think Jack was crazy for thinking Eli was a killer?
or think he was on the right track? (or did you know he would be a killer?)

Not really. Jack always gets carried away and says alot of crazy things. I don't think people give Jack enough credit. He's funny and sarcastic and can be thought of as a spoiled brat at times, but I think he means well and he's misunderstood. I really do think that Jack thought and knew that Eli wasn't good for his mother.

8. What has been your favorite scenes to film this year?

I think one of my favorite scenes was with Tea and Dani when Jack ran off and found out that Dani was his half sister and that she was older than him.

9. How do you enjoy working with Florencia?

I like working with Florencia. She is always so nice to me on and off the set. I think she is a wonderful actor and I was glad they didn't kill her off.

10. How did you get started in the industry?

My mom always thought that I was a bit of a character and I was not shy at all. She heard about an open call audition and we went. I then signed with a manager and it's been good so far! I like acting. My parents let me do all the fun stuff like hanging out with my friends, sports and of course Xbox 360.

Joey played the part of "Trevor Martin" on AMC during the 2009 Christmas episode.

1. Has Joey done any other work outside of AMC?

Not yet. We've been to a bunch of casting calls for commercials and print ads, but nothing like what he did on AMC. Were hoping for more in the future.

2. How was it for the Joey working with Chrishell (Amanda) and
Ricky (Jake)?

They were very nice to him. Before the shoot on the first day they asked about the children (twins) that usually play Trevor, who were sick that week, and talked a bit about how much Joey looks like them. After the shoot they praised Joey on how well behaved he was.

3. How did you feel after finding out Joey would be taping at All My Children?

My wife and I were thrilled. It was very exciting for his first job to be an appearance on a network tv show.

4. Did Joey get to spend time with the other children backstage?

There was some time between scenes where the other children were waiting in the same place as us but Joey was really too young to interact with them much.

5. What was it like having the big Christmas scenes for a first day on set?

The Christmas scenes were actually shot the second day that we were on set. The huge cast and multiple takes was very interesting. They take the kids in and out several times for each scene. The adults do a run through of the scene before they bring in the kids for the actual taping. Very exciting stuff.

6. Has Joey ever watched his scenes? does he recognize himself?

We generally don't let him watch too much non-educational TV, but he has seen one of his scenes and he does recognize himself.

7. How did Joey get into the business?

My wife was at a restaurant with some friends and Joey and was approached by the owner of Tribute Talent in Staten Island NY. She told my wife that he was very cute and behaved so well for the time she observed them at the table. She gave us her card and we sent her some pictures.

8. Were there any funny things that can be shared that went on while on set or backstage those days at AMC?

There was another child there for both days of shooting as a backup Trevor. He didnt look as much like the twins as Joey does, so they didn't use him in any scenes. He was there just in case Joey acted up or wouldn't stop crying (which he never did). The other boy also got paid even tho he had no scenes.

The outfit that Joey wore in all his scenes were pajamas that didn't really fit well. He is taller than the twins and you can tell in his scenes that the pants were much too short.

9. How did Joey like working with Jill Larson (Opal)?

She was very nice to him and he seemed to like her. The truth is that Joey has a very sweet personality and will let just about anyone hold and play with him. It's one of the reasons he is suited to this type of work.

10. How long was the Christmas shoot (Martin family and at the appt.) to do?

The apartment scene was shot the first day. We were there at AMC for about 4 hours, most of that time waiting for other shots to be finished. The actual time on camera for that scene was almost exactly the amount of time that ended up in the show. There were no re-takes and they use several cameras and edit while taping for the different angles of the scene.

The Christmas party scene was much more involved. We were at AMC for about 6 hours. Joey was called in and out several times for scenes. There were a few cuts and re-takes, expected when there are so many cast members and kids together in one scene.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

In the end it was a great experience and was hoping to do more with AMC. Unfortunately, the move to shooting in California makes that impossible. We'll keep going to casting calls and I hope Joey will get more work in the future. It was a fun and interesting experience, and I would let Joey do it again in a second.

We would like to thank Joey's family for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

Ailish and Julia O'Connor portrayed Grace Brady on Days of our Lives from May to June 2009 and Nell Henrickson on Big Love in the 4th season.

1. How did the girls like filming Big Love?
These were long days - but everyone on set was so nice and we were glad to be a part of it.

2. Now that Ailish and Julia are older, have they seen any of their scenes as Baby Grace and recognize themselves?
They sure do recognize themselves in the screencaps. We don’t watch much TV.

3. What was the biggest difference between doing Days Of Our Lives and Big Love?
Mostly the hours. Days had much shorter days, but BIG LOVE had more locations - Even on stage, there was more variety in settings from the kitchen to the backyard set, which was unbelievably realistic.

4. Have the girls kept in touch with their Big Love siblings?
I wish. We ran into Amanda Seyfried (Sarah) at the Gelson’s in my neighborhood and she couldn’t have been nicer. Bella Thorne (Tancy) was great with the girls when they were on set together. She played their big sis on two different shows. And the Kent twins were just adorable with them. But they live way out in San Diego. Since Ailish and Julia didn’t return to the show, we haven’t seen them. Though I'm in touch with their mom on FB.

5. Do the girls ever get recognized by fans?
When we went to the Days of Days event at Universal last year - there were quite a few people chasing after us to get a glimpse and even take photos with baby Grace. It only took one “Are they baby Grace?” and a small crowd began to gather. We even got interviewed for a video posting by a local set of entertainment enthusiasts. Felt like they were mini-celebrities. But that really was the extent of it.

6. What was the girls first day on set like for Days? Big Love?
Days: I remember one of the cast members, Renee, was so helpful in spreading a bagel for me, as my hands were full of baby. Since there were other babies on set (about their age) we had a play date while awaiting to film our scenes. We are still in touch with the Sinnema family.
BIG LOVE was interesting. All the parents, kids, cast and crew really knew each other very well. It was like were family after working so long together (the kids growing up on the show each season). We were the newbies. But everyone was so nice and helpful.

7. How did the girls enjoy their set visit to Grey's Anatomy?
They got a lot of attention. Dressed in matching pink outfits, who can resist a set of twins, especially petite baby girls? Crew members smiled and engaged them. Ellen Pompeo caught a glimpse of them and when she had finished filming, she came right over to chat and play with my girls. Patrick Dempsey couldn’t have been more down to earth.

8. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of the girls' scenes? (on any show)
BIG LOVE: While I was waiting in the trailer, I was told that Ailish, signed for more (food) during a shot. It was a family meal scene and she was sitting in the highchair next to her ‘mom’ Margene, played by Ginnifer Goodwin. The Cherrios prop came in handy, as she was hungry. I never got a chance to see the scene, but it was probably Ginnifer (Goodwin) or Bella (Thorne) who was feeding her. When the show aired, friends told me they saw my girl signing on TV. I thought that was very cute.

9. Do the girls see any of their former Days family now?
We still keep in touch with Lauren and Hailey Sinnema’s (Sydney on Days) mom, Laura. We’ve met a Griffith Park, but that was a while ago. We hope to plan a playmate soon.

10. Which girl filmed first for Big Love?
Julia filmed the first scene. She has always been my go-to girl. I usually can depend on her to go first.

We would like to thank the O'Connor family for participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!

Tyree Brown currently portrays "Jabbar Braverman" on Parenthood. The show began in the middle of the 2009-2010 television season and currently is in its second season.

1. How did Tyree get into this type of work?

His older sister was doing acting/modeling and so at 3 years old, we sent some pictures of him into a couple agencies and then he was signed.

2. What has Tyree enjoyed most so far about playing 'Jabbar'?

Jabbar is a lot like Tyree -- the character likes to swim, play soccer and be with all of his family! Jabbar is a little more shy/quiet than Tyree is, but Tyree likes that it is easy and comes natural to do Jabbar's lines. And he has such great on-screen parents (Dax Shephard and Joy Bryant).

3. Whose the biggest prankster (jokester) on set?

Dax Shephard

4. How does Tyree enjoy working with Savannah and Max?

He really enjoys working with both Max and Savannah because they are like family to him.

5. What has been Tyree's favorite print job to do?

He has enjoyed all of this jobs so far, but his most favorite was Red Envelope because it was on the beach.

6. Has Tyree filmed any commercials?

He did a Walmart commercial at the age of 4....mostly print and voice over jobs.

7. How does Tyree like working with Cole Sand?

Cole is such a great kid and Tyree and him get along so well. They really enjoy each other's company.

8. What has been Tyree's favorite scene to film so far for Parenthood?

He liked doing the soccer scenes and the swimming pool scenes, but really likes any scene he gets to do with Max or Savannah!

9. Does Tyree have a special routine to get into his part of Jabbar?

No, when the director calls "action", he just does what he is suppose to. He learns his lines the day before with his parents.

10. How did Tyree enjoy the Power of Youth event?

He thought it was a lot of fun and got a lot of neat things, but since he is only 6, he is just now starting to learn about "giving back" so this was a great start for him to understand that giving back is just as important as receiving.

11. Is there anything else you’d like to add?

One of Tyree's favorite things about being on set is the FOOD! But he enjoys working with EVERYbody also!

Luc and Cole Amante played "Ian Slater" on All My Children. They first aired in April 2009 and last aired with the LA move.

1. How did the boys like working with Alex Ben and Caleb?

the boys loved alex, ben and caleb. they liked to play with toys together, watch dvds of wow wow wubzy and share snacks! they definitely bonded.

2. How did the boys enjoy their print shoot for Parents Magazine?

the parents magazine shoot was fun! luckily, the theme was having a chaotic and fun household, lol. so they fit right in!

3. Have the boys done anything outside AMC other than Parents Magazine?

no, they haven't worked outside of amc and parents mag. they have been to many auditions including a film with chris rock and many commericial auditions.

4. What was the boys last day on the AMC set like? Do they miss the set?

the last day was so sad for everyone! ian and spike had many scenes because alicia was back from maternity leave. there was a party, a special cake for the kids and plaques were given to the children also which was so special. a lot of tears that day and we are so happy to have been a part of the show. i think they miss the show, they recognize zach and kendall and spike when we watch old episodes.

5. Do the boys ever get recognized as 'Ian'?

yes, they do get recognized as ian! the hair is a giveaway. malls, parties, even their grandma's home attendant recognized them on her first day!

6. Did the boys get to spend time backstage with the other children whom they didn't typically film with?

yes, they spent a lot of time w other kids in the dressing rooms especially lucy! so sweet.

7. How did Luc and Cole enjoy working with Lisa Yuen?

Lisa is a gem! they loved her, she tried so hard to tell them apart, lol. they miss her definitely! she used to come in the dressing room before a scene w them to play and get hugs!

8. What was it like working with Alicia and Thorsten?

they r wonderful actors and are magical with children. they improvised often with the kids which made some of the scenes more genuine! thorsten loved to blow rasberries on their bellies if they were a little cranky and that always worked. alicia was pregnant for a majority of the boys' time on amc and her motherly instinct was so awesome to see.

9. What was your favorite scene the boys filmed?

we love the scene when zach is reading the story to ian at christmas. the most difficult scene to watch was when ian had his valve surgery and had the oxygen mask on. they were 28 wk old, 2 pound preemies and it brought back a lot of memories when they were in the hospital for 6 weeks!

10. Is there any way to tell the boys apart from watching old episodes?

well, they both love pretzel rods, so that doesn't help, lol. Luc is definitely more easy-going and always looked into the camera. Cole is stubborn to say the least and for some reason as soon as a scene started to film, he would turn his head away!

11. Is there anything else you’d like to add?

we want to thank everyone for a wonderful time on the show! it was so memorable!

Everyone on all sets have been amazing, so no.

4. What was the girls first day on the set of GH like?
The first day...Baby Emma (Rose) was born and it was very quick.

5. How did the girls like working with John J York (Mac) and Kristen Storms (Maxie)?
John called himself Uncle Mac whenever he saw the girls and Kristen was super nice but not at a "baby person"

6. What was it like filming the big storm/ "baby in a tree" episodes?
The girls were a little warm in the smow suit, but they were always angels on set.

7. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of the girls scenes?
Robin (Kimberly) was always laughing that she had to act like baby emma was colicky and the girls were always smiling and cooing at her, lucky for the sound effects they never actually cried.

Hailey and Lauren Sinnema portrayed "Sydney DiMera" on Days of our Lives from February of 2009 until September of 2010. The girls appeared in over 170 episodes during their time on the show.

1. Is there anyone you wished the girls got to work with more on Days?
Everyone! The entire cast and crew was SO wonderful. Warm, inviting and just down-right friendly that I wish we could have worked more with all of them!

2. When the girls were on 'I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant', did both of them film or was one twin used for all the scenes?
They were 7 months old when they were on 'I Didn't Know I Was
Pregnant'. They both were used to film the scenes. Although if I remember correctly, Lauren did most of the work.

3. Were Hailey and Lauren able to spend time backstage playing with their on screen siblings, Aaron and Griffin and Carolyn and Campbell?
Yes. That was the highlight of our days at Days. We (all of the families) ALWAYS made it a point to stop in and hang out for a while when we were all there at the same time.

4. Did Hailey and/or Lauren seem to favor being with James Scott (EJ) or Alison Sweeney (Sami) more?
I guess if I had to pick one, I would say that they both really formed a bond with James. They worked a lot longer with him than Alison. And he was able to come in and visit our dressing room and play quite often.

5. Was there a particular scene that Hailey and/or Lauren seemed to really enjoy filming?
They always loved the scenes with the other kids. When they were really young, they were mesmerized by the boys who play "Johnny". So any scenes with them and they were happy.

6. What was it like for the girls to be part of a major soap storyline?
I don't think we realized how big it was until it was over. It was really fun to be a part of the whole thing. We feel really fortunate to have had the experience and to have been a part of such a well-known and respected soap.

7. Have the girls ever seen themselves onscreen? If so can they tell themselves apart?
Yes and yes! They would see themselves on the screen from time to time and say "Look, mama. that's Hailey" or "that's Lauren". They got it right 100% of the time.

8. What has been one of the funniest things to happen on set or backstage for one of the girls scenes?
Hmmm... I can't really think of anything! At least nothing related to a scene. One funny thing that happened backstage is that Molly Burnett was having a dance competition with her brother and she put together a video of some of the cast dancing. She filmed Hailey shaking her stuff in the hallway. It turned out really cute.

9. Was there anyone that the girls didn't work with regularly that they seemed to enjoy being around backstage?
When I think back, we spent most of our time off-set roaming the halls and chatting with just about EVERYONE. People would always be hanging out and the girls would join right in. They loved to dance and seemed to get many people to join them off set. They seemed to really like Peter Reckell, Louise Sorel, Arianne Zucker and Lindsay Hartley.

10. What was it like learning that that girls would be on for many more episodes than they had originally been booked for?
It was great to find out that we were going to be around longer than the initial 8 episodes that we signed on for. But truth is, is that we didn't know how many it would end up being until the end. We were told week to week what our schedule was. We would get scripts for a week or two ahead, but never really know much more than that. We were lucky to have been in about 160 shows.

Mackenzie Aladjem portrays "Miranda Montgomery" on All My Children. Her first appearance was in July of 2010. Questions were answered by Mackenzie herself.

1.What is it like working on All My Children? Do you enjoy it?

I really enjoy working on AMC. Everybody is so sweet from the cast to the entire crew.

2. How did working onstage in Annie compare to your other acting roles?

I love doing both. It is really fun to hear clapping and laughing from the audience when you are performing on stage It was really fun traveling and seeing the world for a year and a half with my Annie family. Stage and TV are so different, but I love them both.

3. What's it like to go from a show like Nurse Jackie to a show like All My Children?

There is really not a huge difference between NJ and AMC. Nurse Jackie has fewer cameras so each scene takes longer to shoot. AMC has more cameras so each scene takes less time. I love Ruby who plays my sister on NJ, but I love that there are so many kids in AMC.

4. How do you like working with Ellah and Aerowyn
(Gabrielle)?

I have never really worked with Aerwyn. I LOVE Ellah. I don't have a little sister in real life so its really fun to work with her. She is the sweetest little girl ever!

5. Did you get to meet Alexa and Ashley Gerasimovich at the Halloween event?

Yes, we met at The Dream Halloween event in NY. They were very sweet! We are trying to schedule a time to get together and hang out in NY.

6. How do you like traveling from Nurse Jackie set to AMC Set?

I love traveling back and forth from NY to LA. All the stewardesses are getting to know me.

7. How do you like working with Jake?

I love Jake. He is so sweet and silly. When I am doing school, I hear him running down the hall and I just want to go and play with him.

8. What has been your favorite thing to film on Nurse Jackie? on AMC?

My favorite thing to film on NJ happened this season. We have a new family member (not sure if I am allowed to tell), but I loved working with her!!!! She is so cool!
My favorite thing on AMC was the Thanksgiving episode because everyone was there together and I LOVED my wardrobe!

9. How do you enjoy working with Michael Nouri and Christina Lind?

Michael (Nouri) is so much fun. He loves to joke around and tickle me! I love Christina (Lind). She is so sweet and funny. I like sitting at hair and make-up with her! She is a great TV mom (so is Edie!).

10. Is there anyone you would like to work with?

I am a GLEEK, so I would love to work with anyone from Glee!

11. Anything else you would like to add?

I just want to say how lucky I am to be doing what I am doing. I have loved every moment from Annie to NJ to AMC, and anything in between. Each place makes me feel like I have all these different families and I love being a part of them all. I am sad each time I leave set and excited each time I return.
Thanks so much!

yes a japanese ice cream commercial for Glico and print work for Disney and Target online.

8. How does Davin enjoy working with Tyler?
Great! he is quiet but nice to me.

9. How did Davin enjoy his first GH Fan Event?
That was fun! I liked being on stage when the fans asked me questions about my character and working on the show. I also enjoyed signing autographs and taking pictures.

10. Is there someone at GH Davin would like to work with, but hasn't got a chance to yet?
Not really.

Anything else you would like to add?
I enjoy acting..the drive to LA is very long though and I have to miss a lot of school for auditions, but I like working on set and I like meeting the other actors and learning from them. I am hoping to get a big role soon...I would love to be in another movie. I enjoyed working on Neverland short film and I hope to get another movie like that one.

We'd like to thank Davin and his family participating in the Star-Kidz Holiday Q&A event this year!
