As many of you know...Rory and Declan McTigue's new series Boardwalk Empire premiered last Sunday on HBO. Upon watching the series and much thought during this week we have decided that not only is this a fantastic show that has already been renewed for a second season....but it is going to become our ninth show covered on Star-Kidz. Alongside Rory and Declan as Teddy Schroeder, it features Josie and Lucy Gallina as Emily Schroeder and Brady and Connor Noon as Tommy Darmody. As well there are many other children featured throughout the season, including Alex Ben and Caleb Eckstein, who will at this time remain in the Spike Lavery section, as Sonny is so far an extra kid role.

Taylor recently sat down with Melody over at "Hollywood the Write Way" and here is what she had to say:

So what was your audition process like?
I wasn't in the original Pilot since I was still working on Days of our Lives. When I found out about my exit on Days, this was one of the first auditions that I had. I left Days on April 20th and found out about this on April 30th. So, a month later I started filming.

Your character, Lennox is pretty rebellious. But what would you say is your favorite characteristic about her?
I like how sarcastic and quick witted she is.

How long do you rehearse before you begin shooting?
We have 3 days of rehearsal, pre-tape on Thursday, and then we have the live show on Friday.

What's your favorite thing about shooting in front of a live audience?
The energy. It's fun to have the fans...in a way distract you. They keep it light and fun.

Since I was in the live audience for the Halloween episode, I want to know what is your craziest Halloween memory?
I guess it was the time when me, my sisters, and one of our friends dressed up as KISS. We had aluminum foil wrapped around us to look like boots (Laughs). We rolled a golf cart around town and went trick or treating...and then we got chased by dogs. It was a weird Halloween.

That's funny! Now since you are also a talented singer, can we expect to hear/see you singing on the show?
Maybe sometime down the line but not any time soon. I started to really pursue it and then this opportunity came up so I want to dedicate all of my time to this. But singing is definitely something that I want to pursue down the line.

You mentioned Days before though now you are in a comedy. So what's the biggest change or challenge going from a soap opera to a comedy?
Really everything is different. I was doing something that was so dramatic and heartbreaking but here we are taking the drama and making it funny. But in both I've had someone take me in. It's nice though to not just do drama. It's nice to be able to take the drama and make it funny.

What have you learned from Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence while filming?
I have really learned a lot. I am blessed to work with people who have such great careers. They are here to guide me and give me advice if I need it. Since they've been doing this since they were my age, they completely understand what I am going through. So they are always there for me.

Who would you like to see guest star on the show?
I don't know, we've had some pretty cool guest stars so far. They top it every week. We've had Mark Ballas from Dancing with the Stars. Christopher Rich was here the other week. He was on Reba and I love him so that's hard to beat.

Now since you are from Mississippi but have lived in NY and now live in LA, can you compare living in LA and NY?
I like both but they are very different. LA is kind of in the middle. One second, you can be in small, quiet suburbia...then you drive a couple miles down the freeway and you're in Hollywood and it's crazy. In NY there are apartments everywhere until you drive Upstate and then you see all of the houses. Also, NY is more fast paced than LA is.

Lastly, since your birthday is next month...what did you do for your Sweet 16 last year and what are you doing this year?
I threw a huge Sweet 16 party with the theme of Peace, Love, and Rock n Roll. I had a guitar cake and all of my friends came to a little club in Hollywood. It was a very cool birthday but I probably will not throw another birthday party until I am 21, if that. For my 17th, I'll just hang out with a few friends, maybe go away for the weekend.

Last night's episode of Flashpoint featured a big child involved storyline with the main character played by none other than...Natalie Lind! Lots and lots of things to say!! Will start with the apparent....as you can see we have a wonderful new main layout made by the fantastic Marie at Frontier Designs. If you head on over to the gallery you will see another new layout as well! Both layouts are featuring some of our kids who are celebrating birthdays this month and next. They grow so fast don't they??

Next up on the list is the 2nd Annual Star Kidz Awardz. We would like to thank everyone who participated in voting this year and congrats again to all of our nominees. The moment has now come to find out who won and you can do that by watching the video in the sidebar. Unfortunately Youtube did not like many things about our winners video and we will not be able to make it available there. We hope the player works okay for everyone.

Thirdly, you may notice that our updates have changed a little. We have now broken them down into categories and if you click say "images" you will see all our updates that feature images for this month. Same as if you click "Emma Lavery" all our updates related to the character and portrayers will show. Past updates are still available through our archive, the link is located at the bottom of our news section.

Next, some of you may know if you already visit this site, for others this is a new piece of news. We now have a sister site!! Heaven and myself have been working on a site called Kids Commercials which provides numerous commercials that kids have been in recently. We hope that family and fans will find this helpful when looking for specific commercials. We have already helped quite a few people in finding specific ones and if we don't have the one you're looking for up, just ask us, we have so many that have not made their way up yet.

Last but not least...its that time of year again! While the snow has thankfully not fallen yet and won't be for a little while longer...its still time for us to get started on our 3rd Annual Holiday Q&A Event!!! Our site for the event has a brand new layout as well and don't forget to keep checking back as families will be added as they confirm starting tomorrow. There have been a couple changes this year, make sure to read the rules. Mainly, we have opened the Q&A event to everyone being allowed to submit more than one question per family, we hope this will prevent everyone from having to make hard decisions on which question they would like to ask.

In the next new episode of Melissa & Joey, “Dancing With The Stars of Toledo,” Mel (Melissa Joan Hart) agrees to dance with a dancer from Dancing with the Stars at a charity event in Toledo, but needs to learn how to dance first.

It’s a good thing that dancer is her former partner Mark Ballas!
