Eleven year old Colton Shires who plays Little Ethan on the soon-to-be-defunct soap opera Passions, moved to Los Angeles when he was six-and-a-half years old to pursue an acting career.  He and his family, including brothers, Kalan and Nakoda, also actors, came for pilot season, but five years later, here they all are still in LA. 
"One thing just led to another and after several months my mom was like 'just forget it, we will rent an apartment and stay awhile,'" shared Shires. "My two older brothers, Kalan and Nakoda, came out here as well when I did and all three of us enjoy acting. My older brothers don't work as much as I do but they do a lot of PSA's and some commercials and occasionally, you will see them on an episode of something. They hope to continue and make it big someday, too! I hope I get there first (haha)."
Shires may be one of the younger members of the Passions cast, but he has been thrown head first into a front burner storyline and he couldn't love it more.  As Passions taped it's last episode on Friday, March 28, 2008, Soapdom caught up with the young gent and asked some fun and crucial questions about life on the set, working with his costars, and what his plans are now that Passions is wrapping production. Here's how it went:
SOAPDOM:   How old were you when you got your first acting or modeling job?
COLTON SHIRES :   I was five, I believe, and it was a toy ad for KB toys.
SOAPDOM :  What made you want to be an actor?
SHIRES :  My brother started doing some print work and auditions and I kept telling my mom "that looks fun, I want my turn."
SOAPDOM :   How old were you when you started on Passions?
SHIRES :  I had actually just turned seven but I think I was supposed to play like five or something.
SOAPDOM : Who is your favorite Passions costar, and why do you enjoy working with them so much?
SHIRES :  I like them all but Eric (Martsolf, Ethan) is the most fun to work with I think, because he's really funny and energetic. He makes it fun for me.
SOAPDOM : If you had your wish, how would you like to see Little Ethan's storyline evolve?
SHIRES :  That's a hard one!! Since it's the end of the show I thought it would be really cool to have another tsunami hit and wipe out Harmony but leave me, Theresa (Lindsay Hartley), Gwen (Liza Huber), Ethan (Eric Martsolf), Pilar (Eva Tamargo), and Allister (John Reilly) all stranded on a small, remote island and maybe have someone pick up the sequel to this soap!!!
SOAPDOM : That would be wonderful, wouldn't it?  Share with us a typical day on the set.
SHIRES :   I usually come in for dry blocking in the early morning, and then I grab breakfast and head to my dressing room to change into wardrobe and get seen by Bobby in hair. When my item is up, I head to the stage to film my scenes. We usually rehearse a time or two and then shoot the scene and move on. When I am done filming, I head to the school room to put in my three hours of schooling. Sometimes this is fun and sometimes it is just hard work!!!
SOAPDOM :   How do you study your lines each day?
SHIRES :  I usually practice each scene a few times until I have memorized them. Then I go back to the beginning and try to get thru all the scenes without looking at the script. My mom helps me at home and the set coach or Lindsay (Hartley, Theresa) usually runs them with me at set.
SOAPDOM :  When you are working on Passions, do you get time for other fun kid stuff?
SHIRES :  We can usually fit it in!!
SOAPDOM :   What other fun kid stuff do you enjoy?
SHIRES : Hiking, biking, hanging with friends and playing X-Box Live!!!!!
SOAPDOM :   What's your favorite sport?
SHIRES :  Football and basketball, but I have played most spots including Karate
SOAPDOM :  What do you enjoy doing when not acting or playing sports?
SHIRES :  I like hanging with friends and spending lots of time with my family, playing video and board games. I also like helping stray animals that need help or have been lost and abused. I am an animal lover!!!! I have a dog, a cat, two fish, and a turtle myself.  (I want a python but that won't do with a small cat). My favorite animal is a Siberian Husky dog because they are very beautiful and friendly.
SOAPDOM :   Once Passions wraps taping at the end of this month, will you continue to pursue an acting career?
SHIRES :   DEFINITELY! I love acting and hope to continue with it as long as I can! I would love to do funny sitcom!
SOAPDOM :   Who will you miss most at Passions?
SHIRES :  EVERYONE!!!! It is the best cast and crew that you could ask for!! Everyone is so kid friendly that it has made my job easier and it has definitely been a memorable and positive experience for me!!

Before joining General Hospital, Edward & James Nigbor filmed an episode for the show 'Unhitched'. I've just added the screencaps to the boys gallery. I've also got their scene to download. I won't be uploading it to youtube cause they've become really stricked with uploading tv shows so all other projects will be uploaded to savefile and you'll be able to download it from there.

After filming for DAYS was over, Alina Foley (DAYS; now ex-Claire) started auditioning for a new television show. Well guess what! She kept on getting called back. Earlier this week, the audition for this show was down to a nail biting TWO children: Alina & another child. We are pleased to tell any of you who have not read it over at Alina Online's forum already that Alina will be portraying Lily Embry on FOX's new show "Outnumbered" which is a USA version of the British sitcom with the same name. Basically it's about these two parents and their three children. Alina is portraying the youngest child. Filming is scheduled to begin on April 7th and we hope Alina has a blast on set!

Hey all, I received permission from Amyrh's mom to put his latest headshot up in his personal album so go check that out.

I also have recently added caps from a General Hospital episode, March 17th 2008 and at least part of OLTL's March 17th episode.
Also, there is a photo of the latest StarKidz Ryan & Liam Blake (well, it's Ryan in the photo) who recently filmed scenes for General Hospital. Only Ryan was filmed because switching the boys wasn't necessary.

I stumbled upon Malcolm David Kelley today on the net, the young actor who plays "Walt" on "Lost". I seized the opportunity to carry out a small Q&A with him. Thanks Malcolm!

1. How did you start acting? Was it something you always wanted to do?
Malcolm: Well, I was 5 so I really didn't know much except from what I saw on TV. I just wanted to have fun like the kids on the commercials and I told my mom we got a manager and agent and everything started taking off.
2. How do you manage both acting and school? Is it difficult to do both at the same time?
Malcolm: Well I'm home schooled and its easier this way but I do miss public school. But I see my friends all the time so that makes up for it.
3. Do you find the show-biz industry too competitive? Do you feel secure-enough taking on acting full time after school?
Malcolm: Yeah, a little bit but mostly your are making friends throughout everything. I think I do I have thinking about that question all the time so I'm coming to a conclusion and I think I do want to continue.
4. You portrayed "Walt" in ABC's "Lost", mostly in the first season. Do you still watch the show as intensely?
Malcolm: Yeah, I try to watch the show as much as I can but you know its hard to catch every episode. Then if you miss something in the show you miss a lot so I try to keep up.
5. Are we going to see more of "Walt" in "Lost"? If yes, would you personally prefer "Walt" to be in the midst of intense sci-fi plots, or as as regular kid in his age?
Malcolm: Idk lmao can't say.!!!! And it really doesn't matter to me I take all challenges, lol, it's up to the writers how they want to bring me back and I'll deliver.
6. Who do you like hanging out with the most from the "Lost" team?
Malcolm: Um... To be honest everybody on that set had a big part of making that set so fun. But who I hung out with the most probably was Harold who plays my dad on the show and Dominic who played Charlie on the show.

Who: Anthony DeMarco
When: March 13th 1998
Age: 10
Role: James on DAYS in March 2006 & later Young Shawn D. in flashbacks on DAYS in June of that same year.
Info: Anthony & his younger sister Amber have been acting since their younger years...okay so they are still children... Lately, Anthony's movie Jake's Closet was released to a film festival. Anthony plays the lead role of none-other than Jake. Also Anthony is now the voice of Nemo in all future Disney projects involving the character!

Congrats Anthony! You've finally reached double-digits!

Will next season be the final season of ER? The producers believe so. With the return of many past stars season 15 is believed to be the final season. Filming will begin just as soon as filming ends for season 14. I will keep you updated on the status of the Gonzales boys and their role as Joe.

In monday night's new episode of Flavor Of Love. Flav challenged his girls to create bedtime stories for children. He brought in a couple of different children Amyrh Harris being one of them. In this episode Amyrh still has his mohawk he had to cut off when he joined the cast of days to play Theo Carver.

In Media Group and Los Angeles-based Jason Coleman, Inc., a producer of exclusive group cruises, have postponed the "Farewell to Harmony -The Bon Voyage Fan Cruise."  The five-day cruise vacation, originally scheduled for spring, is now scheduled to depart from San Diego, California on October 27, 2008, and will feature a visit to the Mexican port of Cabo San Lucas.
    In an announcement on the cruise website, www.cruisewithpassions.com, producers decided to reschedule the "Farewell to Harmony" Passions fan cruise to allow more fans the opportunity to cruise with Eric Martsolf (Ethan, Passions) and his co-stars.  With new episodes of Passions scheduled through the summer, the early fall "Farewell to Harmony" cruise will now be the ultimate opportunity for loyal Passions fans to say goodbye to their favorite stars.
The one-of-a-kind voyage will be a bittersweet opportunity for fans to say goodbye to the drama.  The cruise will be headlined by Eric Martsolf (Ethan Winthrop) and co-hosted by popular castmembers Eva Tamargo (Pilar Fitzgerald-Lopez), Emily Harper (Fancy Crane), and Colton Shires (little Ethan Crane).
"I am excited to co-host the Passions fan cruise and look forward to the events we have planned for our guests.  Our fans have stood by us through the ups and downs over the last year, and this cruise is a great way for us to personally thank them," said Eric Martsolf, co-host of the cruise.  "Rumor is I'll even entertain with an intimate concert exclusively for this group of fans."

Info: It's been a long while since David was on Passions back in 2004. Since doing Passions he also has done CSI, The Crimson Hour & Grace. David is still acting and has been recognized at the Child Actor Recognition Event in 2005, 2006 & 2007.

The cast of Lost was able to ask the creater's of the show questions they want answered. Yunjin Kim (sun) asked a very important question. In episode 4 of season 4 we saw that Kate was able to leave the island with baby Aaron, but is he considered one of the oceanic 6???
"Is Aaron actually one of the Oceanic 6?"
Cuse: We're not officially saying yet. We want the audience to engage in an active debate about who the Oceanic 6 are.
Lindelof: Following [Sayid's] episode, we got several inquiries we weren't anticipating about, 'Is Ben a member of the Oceanic 6?' He could've assumed the identity of somebody on the plane [with] no surviving family members. Who the actual six are is very much in play through the end of the [March 13th] episode. We'll confirm or deny after that.

This past weekend Field Cate (pas - ex lil Ethan) and his good friend Sammi Hanratty (pas - Adele) attended the world premiere of the new movie College Road Trip. I just just finished adding in a bunch of pics of both kids at the premiere. Sammi is now sporting a new short darker hair do.

Well, he may not be used on Days of Our Lives much but Amyrh Harris (Theo - DAYS) has been keeping himself busy! Amyrh recently filmed an episode for the Vh1 show "Flavor of Love 3" which is the third season for the show. He will appear in the fifth episode which is to air on Vh1 on Monday, March 10th 2008. Flavor Flav is having his dating contestants work with kids and apparently Amyrh is one of those children! Amyrh booked this show back in September. I am looking forward to seeing Amyrh on this show and I hope others are looking forward to it as well. We also hope that DAYS starts to use this little cutie more because he has such a personality!

Though she is not quite gone from the show yet, Alina Foley (Claire - DAYS) will be filming her last scenes tomorrow, Wednesday March 5th. That is also the day that Martha (Belle) & Brandon (Shawn D) will be filming their last scenes. According to spokespeople, Shelle & Claire will be taking a cruise and will not return. Alina will be airing in episodes throughout this month and her last airdate is unknown as of yet.
According to Alina’s mom, the DAYS set has been excellent training ground for Alina’s acting.
We have watched Alina grow on the set these past 2 months and will get to enjoy watching her grow in this next month of episodes, her final episodes as of now. We hope to see Alina back on DAYS with her onscreen parents in the future. And we wish Alina the best of luck as she seeks future roles in acting.

Info: Stars since their birth on Discovery Channel, the Grey boys started seeking work. They first appeared as Isaac (Zack) in June 2001 when they were called to fill in for the Christy's while they were sick. Later, they were called back and asked to be the sole children as Isaac (Zack). They stayed in the role until their character was sadly killed off in early 2006. While on DOOL, the boys filmed the pilot of Big Love and have continued on that show so far.

Who at birth was kidnapped by his aunt Beth and grandfather Alistair from his mother Sheridan and just no has been returned some 6/7 year's later. His photo has now been added to the sidebar
